  • great job!!

  • @hgpg1

    Thank you!

  • I haven't cooked a fish in my life but ended up buying some at the Market for the first time. YouTube came to my rescue, I followed your instructions without the capers though and everyone raved. Nice work thanks for sharing!!! :-)

  • @musikrose

To me this is the easiest way to cook fish, thank you for trying it!

  • Mmmm!!

  • Butter lemon sauce is really good bro.. but try to use less butter. Too much fat isn't good for heart..:))

  • looks great

    have to try it

  • @Ld2099

I make this often because I love fish and it is so easy, thank you!

  • Thats great...the capers add a lot of flavor!

  • @TheVittleVlog

Yes and I love capers, thanks!

  • Hi,

i like fried fish filet very much and this way it's so fast and easy to make..

Lot of germans are 'afraid' to make skillet fish and i don't know why, it's really not complicated!

At work i can eat in a hotel restaurant and whenever they they serve fried fish filet, only a third of the people of usual come to eat...

But 'fish fingers' with fries and lots of ketchup, yeah... that would be a real hit here..LOL!

    Joe from Germany

  • Wow.. now that is interesting!

  • OK, thank you very much...

I know what it means, when americans say

'very interesting' - They don't care at all!

You win, i will try to focus on the food, i got knocked down....*ROFL*

    Joe from Germany :-))

  • what does a caper taste like?

  • Like a slightly bitter sour pickle.

  • you wife must be happy that you cook lol

  • x0qxq0x: he's not married. he said he is going to marry me! lol.

  • Let's get married Amber :)

  • I am going to maryy lillypad 3320 :)

  • Another WINNER Michael ^..^

What kind of fish was that ?

    xx

  • You can use any fish that you like :)

I use any white flesh fish with this... in this case it was Cod.

I just love cod.. how is Bentley?

  • Did Benson have any ??

Bentley is fine...how are you two ;) Eating well by the looks of it

    xx

  • I had this same dish at Papa Vino's

  • This is so simple to make... thus the video... just wanted to show what I make about once a month that is simple :)

  • oh looks real easy and delicious as well! trying this out soon! you should make a dish with some mussel!!

  • Oh gosh.. I have eaten mussels only one time in my life.. and I was not happy with the taste...

But you know what... I have some in the freezer... because I want to try them again...

So give me time and I will try them and see what I think.

  • I love this video, fish picata!, and love the music , wonder what is the name of song

when I am tired or tense, your vids relax

    and make me feel good........

  • Thank you James :)

The name of the song is "Tango de Manzana"

This is the 3rd time that I have used that song.

Happy to make you feel happy :)

  • I was thinking about what I can have that was quick and simple. I didn't know what I was going to make until I saw your latest video. It's a perfect meal especially in the cold and frigid Buffalo, NY area. Hey...Sorry about San Diego last night.

  • It is simple and almost elegant really... and don't worry if you do not have capers.

Some chopped up dill pickle would be good as well.

    Yeah... the Chargers lost :(

I don't live in San Diego anymore... now I live in Indiana and I am not a huge fan of the Colts...

I really was for the Chargers.

    Thanks for your comment!

  • it's very good as usual .. but i need u to suggest some meals i eat while um studying um having my final these days and it's my graduation year ..

  • Wow, I had no idea that you were young... I thought you may be my age!

I have never forgotten that you asked for tartar sauce and I will make you happy one day and make it.

I think you will be very successful in life!

    Thank you Scent :)

  • I know better than to watch your vids just before bed...I get so hungry! Wishing I had some of that fish right now! :-)

  • Thank you Caylyn :)

  • Quick easy and more than likely tasty. Looked excellent ! Need to try this one soon.

  • Thanks and it is!

  • yum 'skillet' fish ;)

nice and easy, I love the beans, nice side. cheers Michael!

  • Thanks!

  • All your recipes look really good and never too complicated. I am not a big fish fan, but what type of fish works best for this?

  • Well .... I mean any white flesh type of fish.. but any will do that you like.

    Thanks!

  • That must be a common recipe. I've been doing it that way for years! MInus the capers and plus a little grated parmesan in the flour! ;-)

  • Ummm. sounds excellent your version!

  • OK.. had to comment again.. as I am sure that you know... I just want to give everybody ideas...

Everybody forgets from time to time... what to make or what sounds good...

That is my mission and also to hear your ideas.. and the parm.. I have not done that... sounds great and thanks!

  • Daang, another quick and awesome recipe. Love it!

I did try the korean chicken sauce -- the sauce was really good but the chicken tenders I made were with breadcrumbs. They weren't battered like yours so the sauce didn't stick and glaze like I wanted to. It was still very good though. I'll have to use your full recipe next time.

  • I am so happy to hear that you experimented with it!

That is what cooking is all about!

  • Wow that looks good!

But I have a question, why do you take oil + butter in your pan? I only use oil or butter...

    So why using both?

  • Butter has good flavor but will burn quickly. The oil, even olive oil which has a low smoking point (ie burns at a relatively low temp for an oil), keeps the butter from burning.

  • I love your question!

I use both because I really like to cook or fry in butter.

But the butter burns easily... so I combine olive oil and butter to help the butter from burning... that way I get a great flavor.

    Thanks!

  • now i want fish:S

  • O I made this 3 weeks ago... and I want some now too!

  • never heard or seen skillet fish. I only eat cod or red salmon

  • This was cold water cod... :)

  • @freitasex so what does the "skillet" mean

  • Assuming for a second you're not kidding, "skillet" means frypan.

  • The skillet means the utensil or frying pan.

  • kinda reminds me of the parmesan crusted sole fish they serve at romano's macarroni grill

  • Never been to Romano's mac grill... this is something I saw on TV years ago... and is so simple.

  • What kind of fish is that?

  • I used cod... you can use anything!

  • @digitalwaffle Don't get it, your video says Skillet Fish. But you just told digitalwaffle that you used cod.

  • Skillet Fish must mean something in English that does not compute in American language.

    I do not understand :)

You have to remember I am a zipster type person.. but then he is way smarter than I am :)

  • @ freitasex never heard the world before.

  • Skillet is the pan is how the fish was "quick fried' in.

    A quick and easy dinner.

Instead of heating a large pan of oil that is deep and making fish and chips per say. ;)

  • fish cooked this way is my favourite. i have never tried it with olive oil or capers, but i am dfeinately trying this out when i get some fish.

  • Shane this is so easy and just great.

    Thanks!

  • I used to hate capers... but now love them.

  • @freitasex make american fried rice!
