It wouldn't surprise me, based off of the rumors I have read about McMahon's hatred for Savage. If those rumors are true, then doing this to take away credit from Savage makes perfect sense. I gave up on watching WCW the day Russo came out during a pay per view to bitch like a little baby for 15 minutes about Hulk Hogan. Hogan says it was a work, Russo says it was a shoot, whatever.. Either way, I went to Nitro the next night, and it was the worst piece of shit show I had ever seen in my life. We left before the main event because the soul of WCW had been absolutely destroyed.

WCW may have been dying when Russo took over, but the man completely destroyed all respect I had for WCW.

I don't think you understand the point of being a heel. The point was to make him hated...thats what they did. You know how hated Edge became when he cashed in his money in the bank...the hate people had for him went up like 10 levels. A heel isn't really supposed to win fairly and such most of the time, thats what faces do. It's the way it works.
