  • Thank you Lucy for your kind words, all children we reach love the classes as does your son, unfortunately until those parents/people who have commented on here experience a class they don't understand just how educational, developmental and multi sensory the classes are. They are tied into the EYFS and are CACHE accredited and are not just any old class which you find a lot of out there. We have just taken on our 28th franchisee last week and are going from strength to strength.

  • to the like of sw19anik and any others that want to post pointless not very nice comments- my son does tatty bumpkin at his nursary and he absolutely loves it and so does the rest of the children in his class. He comes home and shows all the family all his new yoga moves. Not only has he all the benefits of the yoga but it has encouraged him to look at nature around him and be more socialable so i cannot praise tatty bumpkin enough! Please keep up what you're doing as its great!!!

  • People - disappointingly, don't understand that kids see things differently.

Kids like to copy something that THEY find interesting, a woman giving classes might be interesting to me, but it's not to the child.

I think this type of thing is enjoyed by kids, I worked in a nursery for a while, and she is teaching them a fun way of doing yoga.

It doesn't matter what adults think, it matters what the children think.

I'm glad to see a healthy online presence - all the best

  • hope these kids are not traumatised by this awful experience.

  • Our 2-year-old son really likes the "Tatty Bumpkin" activity sessions that they recently started at his nursery and he keeps looking forward to the next one.

  • surprised you got this far with the name, no offence but it sounds like a slang term they would use in the porn trade, it sounds dirty. I like what you are trying to do, I agree with what your business is about, but surely a change of name would improve everything. I think the name is too stereotypical of the healthy rural idyllic image you are trying to promote as well. Good luck anyway!

  • Can you sum up the Tatty Bumpkin brand in ten words?

  • I'm sorry to see the rude comments and don't want to echo them, but I really really want to know just WHAT Tatty Bumpkin is. For all you say about the doll's properties, I don't really see what sets it apart from thousands of other ragdolls, and worse than that it lacks appeal. The animation is very weak and the music is the sort of thing you'd make up for your child and not take further. I don't want to sound mean, but I really would urge you not to put all your savings into this.

  • By all means take the yoga for kids thing further, but the whole Tatty Bumpkin thing is just amateurish in the extreme. You seem like a very nice person and full of positivity, that was inspiring, just please don't put all your eggs in that basket :-)

  • @CecilyHeron Thank you for your comments. We are working on getting our message across more clearly. The music and tatty bumpkin doll are at the heart of the adventures the children go on during the yoga inspired movement and music classes. The children attending our classes love the music and doll. The yoga doll can be used by the teacher to demonstrate the poses and provides a tangible link for the children which is really beneficial - especially to those with learning difficulties.

  • I would like to clarify that Tatty Bumpkin is not a failed business - contrary to what was portrayed on Dragons' Den.

There are over 300 classes being taught every week across the country to parents and their children who love it!

  • @TattyBumpkin WOOF.

  • tatty bumpkin has no relevance to your day care thing you do, in essence you're having a shocker.

  • awful idea and failed business.
