lol I spent almost $300 to put carbon ceramics on my car and I put a whole new front braking system on it and then a week later I spun out in the rain and totaled it lol. It was a 91 RS that I was working on. Over $5000 in damage lol.
NOVAS LOOK AND HANDLE LIKE CHAMPS IF FIX THE RIGHT WAY JUST LIKE ANY CAR IF YOU BUILD IT RIGHT IT WILL HANDLE BUT IM GOING TO BUILT MY 79 FIREBIRD LS3 OR LS7 STILL DEBATING WITH DSE REAR AND FRONT KITS
amazing car. I hate when ignorant people speak. American cars are not 'bricks on wheels' maybe the old cars (most) but these are completely custom cars. American v8s make amazing power in NA form PERIOD... however their con was always WEIGHT... now a days though most of these motors are LIGHT and all aluminum blocks... so many of the old arguments are bunk. I have a japanese nissan 240sx and plan to drop an ls2 and t56 in it as well.. fully built suspension/brakes. Cars are cars. This = awesome
Agreed man, a 2800 lbs sporty car powered by GM is going to be a very sick ride. I'm just getting anxious and looking to build an LS7 Camaro in the next few years, I'm far too impatient.
obviously you dont know shit about touring cars. the nova might be a brick when it comes to aerodynamics but it has a good wheel base for cornering. there is also lots of aftermarket parts like coilovers 4links and everything else you can think of to turn it into corner carving beast. they even have a full chassis for the 66 and 67 at roadstershopcom that pull .98 on the skid pad. i also see them all the time as touring cars in super chevy so what the hell are you talking about? learn your shit
That would be fucking POINTLESS! Why put a touring/road-racing engine in a car that is only good for going in a strait line?? Sorry, but a Nova is NOT my idea of a touring car. They were a crappy economy car when they came out and all they are used for nowadays is drag racing---Just like the AMC Gremlin/Pacer, Chevy Vega, and Ford Pinto.
If you wold have read my comment, you would have noticed that I was talking about a Chevy NOVA you JACKASS!!! Maybe if you read next time, you'll find out what I was talking about. Moron.
The Nova's also make excellent auto cross cars. You've got TONS of aftermarket suspension parts and the wheel base is excellent for it. Once you start upgrading in a Nova and doing a couple of weight reduction stages you've still got a great handling car.
Dumbfuck, any old Muscle car can be made to handle like a champ. Dumbass fag.
Really? Because I'm pretty sure you'd have to custom fab a lot of pieces ( I.e. Control arm brackets, bushing mounts. ) and you've still got a high center of gravity. For the money you'd spend on a Nova to get it track ready, you could spend half on a Camaro, Mustang, or Javelin. Dumbass.
Really? How about naming some?... Seems like you know little to nothing about what you're talking about. Once you get your Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and you actually work on touring cars, come back with what you know, ass.
Control arms, shocks/struts, springs, rear leaf lowering blocks FLSFC, sways, brake upgrades, rack/pinion steering, roll cage, weight reduction, the list goes on and on. Dumbshit, fuck your mechanical engineering degree, it's not worth shit if you don't know shit.
Haha, you just went to a website and listed off shit, haha. Seems like you FORGOT about the fabrication JACKASS. So, as I said before; When you get your you get your Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and you actually work on touring cars, come back with what you know. Dumbass.
@Sarcasticscum there is bolt in stuff, but its mostly for trackday stuff, mild events or light autocross. protouring cars generally need a tremendous amount of fabrication, hense the reason why building these cars cost a pretty penny. i am surprised you bring up a javelin though, most people have forgotten amc....
