  • How long did it take for you to blow dry your entire hair? I ask because It looks time consuming but worth it if you don't want to damage the hair. I abused my hair for too too long. I went on a perm strike a couple a months ago and my hair is already showing a good amount of growth so I am happy! Hehehe! Love the vid.

  • @sheliene12 :: I don't remember how long it took but I'd guess 40 minutes to an hour.

  • i will comb with a rat tail comb in a minute!! my hair is too fine and kinky to get the tangles out with a wide tooth comb

  • Thanks for sharing! So pretty at 1:17, lol. You and the hair :D

  • I have the same conair dryer! Try using the brush attachment next time. It gets my hair really smooth and straight!

  • You have beautiful thick hair. It's really grown a lot...

  • I'm a New Subby - This was my first time seeing this method, I'm going to try it out. Thanks for sharing!

  • "This thing is set to hell fire and brimstone!" LOL! Thanks for the video. Now that my hair is natural it's a lot harder to blowdry with the comb attachment so this is a great alternative.

  • But glami, that's how I blowdry ur hair. So technically it's not ur first time. But good job!

  • @napngo :: My first time doing it myself on my own hair.

  • I need that blow-dryer! I don't flat iron my natural hair but I don't mind blow-drying it sometimes. Your hair looks great!

  • @1balancedbeauty :: Thanks! There's a link to the blowdryer in the description box.

  • Right on time. Thank you!

  • @KnowledgeB1 :: Glad I could help

  • Yes, girl. Ionic dryers are noticeably faster. Oh, Im loving the weekly updates....Glad they're back

  • Thanks for the comparison! Dryers with the shorter neck seem like they would be easier on the arms too. Did you find this to be true? :)

  • @AYPPYT :: Not necessarily.

  • i just finished my hair using this method, i'm so glad i saw this video becasue i was ready to try a new look. 2 years natural and only my 2nd time using heat and this was by far the quickest and easiest method so far.

    thanks for sharing!

  • @rockntwists :: I'm happy it helped!

  • very pretty hair!

  • @maximuslyricus :: thank you :)

  • How often do you recommend blow drying?

  • @C00kieBaGg :: I don't blow dry my hair often (as in I don't remember the last time I did), so I don't have any recommendation. Ultimately it depends on your own hair and choices. Just know that constant heat styling can damage your hair.

  • Ooooh I wanah try this :-D

  • @CherryAppetite :: You should, make sure you use a good heat protectant.

  • Oh, and about the sweating. Your hair turned out great. But I sweat so much and my hair is so porous that by the time I finish blowdrying, it's shrinking up!

  • @basbleupeaunoire :: I was only sweating 'cause I was taping the video and couldn't be fully naked LOL!

  • This video makes me really wish I had a vanity in my bathroom!

  • @basbleupeaunoire :: What do you have, a medicine cabinet? You can make a bootleg vanity with a mirror and a table in any room.

  • wow, at the beginning of the vid your hair looks just like the beshe drew wig ....luv it :)

  • @mizcreativelyme :: LOL, yeah it kinda does :)

  • Your hair is so thick and lovely

  • @motorcitymoxie :: Thank hun :)

  • My ends are the same way when I blow dry my hair. Your hair looks pretty!

  • @MerelyMarie :: I don't want to expose the ends to too much heat, but I also don't want them to be poofy. What to do, what to do?

  • Side 3? Sweet Jesus, that made me laugh. How many sides do you have on your head? LOL!

  • @whoissugar :: but I fixed it and said "quadrant 3" :*(

  • Lol! You are soo funny with your beautiful hair!!

  • @lcrock25 :: Thank you :)

  • Pretty!!!

  • @rainbowbrite621 :: Thank you

  • ty for doing this video

  • @pinkpornstar1 :: You're welcome :)

  • @blackprincesslord :: Thanks. I had about 2-3 inches cut in October.

  • Okay, so I meant to say more and hit return. Anyway, your hair looks great.

  • Thanks. I did that once and it took forever so I haven't done it agin

  • @secretsandlies09 :: I think I could do my entire head, straight out the shower, with the 2nd blowdryer in under an hour. I'll time next time.

  • What'd you decide to do to your hair? You did good at the blow drying

  • @MyNaturalReality :: I had it in 1 bun style and now it's in a bun on top of my head. I'm gonna put it in braids on Friday.

  • Nice video! I do the tension blow-out method as well. I usually use grapeseed oil as a heat protectant. Using the fine toothed comb for the ends is a nice touch.

  • @Lifeisagift1990 :: You're the 2nd person that says to use grapeseed oil. I may try that. Thanks!

  • your blow drier looks sooo funny ! LOL your hair is beautiful, by the way !

  • @misscamaelle :: Which one, the relic or the black thingy? Thanks!

  • Nice hair, nice method!

  • @filya2 :: Thanks, I'll definitely be doing this again.

  • This is ART! That part of the Christmas vid...I almost passed out. lol!! Great technique. I'm thinking of blow drying my hair soon.

  • @luvpepperhead :: lol, glad you enjoyed it

  • I guess winter is heatstyling season over here at YT, lol...been seeing a lot of these videos lately. Yours looks great of course. How long did it take you from start to finish? I usually get impatient and end up botching the job...but I'm thinking about trying it before I go on vacation later this month. I too am interested in seeing what you do with it...

  • @LBellatrix :: LOL, must be I guess. I didn't time but I'm guessing it was about an hour. I think if I'd done it all with the 2nd blow dryer it would've gone much faster.

  • It looks sooo soft. I hope you follow up with what you decided to do with it. You're vids are ART! LOL

  • @CandidAnn :: I will. Right now it's in a high bun on top of my head.

  • Try a bantu knot out.

  • @Iamsonotmyhair :: Someone else suggested that but it'll have to wait until next time. I have it in a high bun right now.

  • Funny video (lol, 1:28 - 1:30) ... and I am undecided on whether or not to blow dry my hair. I have an ionic blow dryer, but I only use it once a month to diffuse my hair..but I like the look of natural hair blow dried like what you have done here.. Hm...

  • @Pretoriafly :: At first I didn't know what to do once I'd blowdried it, but lately I've been wearing it in a high bun that I love (you'll see on future vids). I'll definitely keep this as an option in the future.

  • And I also detangled it and had it sectioned in braids before I let it air dry....just a few tips that helped me.

  • @tuxu14 :: Ok, this answers my previous question. Thanks.

  • I use heat protectant , and then grapeseed oil when I get to my ends and use my fingers to finger detangle as I blow dry since they are harder to do. I can use medium heat if I let it airdry a few hours first. I had really good results that way, and it was easier. Only took about 10-15 minutes to blow dry.

  • @tuxu14 :: When you let it air dry does it begin to tangle? That is my fear.

  • Nice results . I think that xoxomomo has a good point. Plus Google the benefits of an ionic blowdryer. I think that made a difference to the feel. "This is Art" gives me jokes!

  • @DaNewBlack :: Definitely could be why. I do know that ionic appliance close the cuticle of the hair strand.

  • is it possible that you got better/faster results with the smaller blow dryer because your hair wasnt soaking wet like the first side?

  • @xoxomomo :: Potentially, but I think it's 'cause of the surface area on the 2nd blowdryer and the fact that ionic appliances close the cuticle.

  • Your hair is sooo.......beautiful!!!!!

  • @ShaykeepJesus1st :: Oh thank you ")

  • IWow, I do this to elongate my curls. I do it on low heat. I don't blow dry the ends though just the shaft. It allows me to keep my curl pattern. It lasts until my next wash.

  • @WhereYaBoss :: Never thought of that (never wear wash and wear styles either). this could be an interesting thing to try though. Thanks for sharing.

  • I hearing ya accent gyal...haha!

  • @MsVcharles :: LOL, dat ting don bun me up!

  • your hair has grown soo much more..love it stretched..do u ever plan to flat iron it?

  • @LadyJB22 :: I don't have any plans to flat iron it any time soon.

  • wow ur looks great

  • @msdelle22 :: thanks!

  • beautiful hair:)

  • @MsNuKynk :: thank you
