I am so happy that they are able to take dreadlocks out without cutting them off. I am going to lock my hair for two years to let it grow then take them down.
@CurlyKoki thats what i plan on doing with my daughter but for myself im just on the ride going thru the stages and waiting to see where my dreads end up lol but it is fun but scary i dont feel as dressed up when i go out with my locks i feel like im missing someting ..... like hair lol lol a track something but its getting easier i guess weaves are like crack hard to kick the habbit lol
@CurlyKoki Why would you get dreadlocks, just to take them down hun. You know the process is drooling, and tiedus, and not to mention it takes forevea. I really dont understand why havin dreads is such a trend, they mean way more than that. I have my locks and love them. You should get braids or yarn locks if you dont tend on keeping the dreads, Especailly if your heart isnt in it.
You are a beautiful sistah and you'll look perfect with locs. If you looked that good w/weaves and other styles I know locs will make you look 10X better. For some reason locs just have that affect on us sistahs; they enhance our natural beauty which you have plenty of!!
@MyRootsRoc thank u so much for the compliment im still in the starting stages and its kinda hard converting i still wear my weave over my locks until they get a lil longer i will post a video of my growth and also anoter one to show how i put a sew in weave over the locks and again thanks
@sashajordanjacob - I feel you! When I started my locs I was a little apprehensive about showing them until they were longer. Take your time sis'. It takes each of us a certain amount of time to adjust to the natural state of our God given hair. You are beautiful either way so don't EVER forget that!
@MyRootsRoc thanks u really gave me a boost lol and u r rite it does take each of us a certain amount of time to adjust and i guess thats where i am right now but it does help when i get good feed back from pple like u so thanks again im gonna go on ur page and see ur hair
@sashajordanjacob I'm glad you found my response helpful! Unfortunately I have chosen not to post any pics of myself on YouTube yet, but you can check me out on Fotki under the name : LovinLox-on-me. I have had locs twice so you'll get to see pics of both of my journeys. You can also find LOTS of inspiration to make that change should you decide to check out pics of other sistahs who have loced up on Fotki. Good luck!!
i think its beautiful. Congrats to you....
