  • Square hates us. They give us an armored core rip off but not give us this better game and the rest of the whole series. I got interested in the series with this gun hazard and now I want to play the rest of the series, but half of them weren't released here! Were should I start? are all of the plots unrelated like FF?

  • the intro music reminds me of the Sephiroth theme.

  • I really need to learn japanese

  • epic

    best spent hours eva

  • This game is incredible. the game is not very popular on snes-best list, but it's a must!

  • Where is the 2 player game front mission? How come it says single player only?

  • Is this a fan-subbed version? Never knew this game had been localized in the states.

  • @ryanc519 It's called "fan translation patch" and indeed (and sadly, like many) this game was never released outisde of Japan.

  • @ShiryuGL Where do you download patches like this one? Also, how do I get this to work once I have the rom downloaded? (i know how to use SNES emulator) Thanks for the reply.

  • @ryanc519 It is written in the video discription. AGTP = Aeon Genesis Translation Project. Google them up and you will find out how to play this in english. =)

  • ddoes the plot of this game is original or it follows the first front mission game??

and is it a prequel/sequel of any other front mission game?

  • @Anemite The plot is non canon

  • BTW SUBSCRIBED ^^ have a nice day folks

  • So who ripped off who? Gundam Wing ripped off Front Mission!?

Or ahem shared the Orbital Lift Elevator theme?

Well anyways .. damn it.. the great games always snuck past me. In America we a lot of gamers didnt find out about front mission until FM1, FM2 or FM3 like me. I was busy playing Secret of Mana, FF7, FFT, and XENOGEARS, and blasting away on my N64 to boot.

It's really badass there bringing this back. I just noticed FMEvolved on steam and nearly pissed my pants. since FM5 was no go.

  • @Sicj Just because it is similar to Gundam (and most likely inspired by it) doesn't mean it's a ripoff. Ripping off means that someone has stolen someone else's idea, but how can one steal something that belongs to no one? There is no copyright on war mechs or orbital elevators, you know. - -°

  • @RokuroCarisu True; too many people throw around the word "ripoff" these days

  • What??? how is it in english??

I got stuck in this one part cuz I only had the jap version

  • @GetoC There is a translation on a site called aeon genesis. I can PM you the URl if you're interested.

  • @giguyjoe2nd is it a patch type of situation?

I tried playing this many years ago alongside a english walkthrough but it was a pain as you can imagine.

    PM me the link please

  • @GetoC Yes it is and I have just sent it to you good sir.

  • oh look,.it's fucking anonymousexxxx.the guy who isn't satisfied with anything.

  • The point here is that what he said is true in a sense, half the stuff Square's created the past who knows how many years isn't as good as it COULD be.

  • From last week, everyone was making MIDIs for this game on the SNES on VGMusic. That was on Japan only.

  • That line never works for me when I criticize Shadow of the Colossus, so it's not working for you.

  • Gonna need a mop to wipe up all these tears... Looks like someone's never played Assault Suits Valken.

  • Hey, how the hell do you leave a stage you've already finished? On one end of it, there's a blinking arrow, but I can't find how to leave.

  • press down and X at the same time

  • I love the front mission games wish I could own um all. Sadly most youll have a hard time finding.

  • Nice video upload. This game, along with Cybernator, was so far ahead of its time.

Gun Hazard was essentially Symphony of the Night with mecha, a year before SOTN came out.

Huge bases full of enemies and a gripping storyline, with so many weapons and subweapons and ways to play the game. Really, really good game even today.

  • But SotN was Metroid in the Castlevania universe. I highly suggest you check out Super Metroid at some point.

  • how did you filmed it with good quality?

  • Direct video dump from emulator. I could have also hooked up the SNES A/V cable to my USB video capture device and recorded from there, wich would also output in good quality. =)

  • The front mission universe is awesome.

  • I got stuck in this game, but it was fun whilst it lasted.

  • its like cybernator

  • My thoughts exactly. That's what I thought of as soon as I saw the gameplay.

  • ill get this for my emulator

  • I love this game, I got the English translation a few years back and played through like nuts.

  • Where'd you get this for snes?

  • It wasn't for snes, it was an amateur translation for the ROM. I don't know that it would be possible for an amateur to translate the cartridge, but maybe.

  • holy shit! I can't believe we US gamers missed out on this!

  • In the 90's SNES gamers missed out on Front Mission, Romancing Saga 1, 2 and 3, Seiken 3/Secret of Mana2, Final Fantasy 5, a non-dummied down FF 4.

    and a few others.

  • hella unfamous game, but it got great elements. a rpg story line, mech combat, great variety of battleroid parts and special weapon to use. There are many missions with variety of objectives and also many different enemy robots and bosses to kills. I really surprise how much effort the developer put in this game. If I know this game at 96, I would have play it alot.

  • huh? wtf is this? is the 1st in the series? never seen front sission 1 or 2 but 3 and 4 was kool

  • This game is awesome, but I screwed up the save state and never felt like beginning it all over again...

  • where did you get an english version from, i was looking for this game for a while now

  • Everybody, please buy Front Mission 1st for the Nintendo DS to support Front Mission's success outside of Japan and the possibility of Front Mission 5's localization!

    Please!

  • lol

  • So let's all get to it!

  • i have this game FRONT MISSION Gun Hazard its really cool because this game plays like Cybernator/Assault suit Valken in japan but its mixes with RPG GamePlay its strange i still haven't beaten it tell this day maybe i should

  • square-enix was planning on releasing Front Mission ONLINE right huff're front mission 4 in the US. but it got cancel because of bad sales on F.M 4 though, it's to bad really i would of love to play this game online

  • i understand what you mean man, the FRONT MISSION games don't seem to be chaining on here in the US. for some reason ? SQUARE ENIX finally brot front mission 1 for DS. but ? its not selling very good just like front mission 4 didn't sell ÓnÒ, that's y theirs no front mission 5 here in the US.

  • Front Mission 1st didn't do too bad.

  • that's not what i hear

  • It didn't do great.... But it didn't do bad either.

  • i see, well i hope they will come out with more front mission years to came or soon

  • Many people are hoping for Front Mission to succeed stateside.

  • Act Riser is wonderful the AR2 was cool too but there was no towns to command... badly :/ well but i played Metal Warriors... man im an old school gamer now with 19 years and not too much ppl over here still playing snes

  • Sweet! I'll check it out.

  • Gotcha. I may have to ask you about Front Mission 1 because I wanna play it because I noticed Aeon Genesis made an english patch for the Japan-exclusive game.... I wonder why?

  • Correction: ..... Because I noticed Aeon Genesis NEVER made an english patch for.....

  • That's really cool. I asked because I could've sworn I saw the name "Shinryu" from the pictures from that website.

  • Leros looks like Final Fantasy VI's General Leo.

  • The graphics ARE amazing. I love that glaring effect in the intro with the windshields when Orwen is in the car.

  • Yeah besides Actraiser, I'am a super, super fan of the Front Mission series. I actually downloaded the rom for it after you taught me how to use translation patches in the case of Actraiser. In a 3 hour sitting, I got out of Bergen. That 3 hour sitting was the first time I've ever played this game, and unsurprisingly I loved it!

  • Ah shit, I love the Front Mission series. I've only owned and played Front Mission 3 and 4 because they were the only ones that came out in America. But Front Mission 3 alone was the game that made me a fan of the series. I wanted to play all of them but most of them are for Japan's 32 bit gaming market..... The Playstation.
