Not sure. but they traded Mitch Richmond for the 3rd pick in the 1991 NBA draft which turned out to Billy Owens from Sacamento. i guess they wanted a big guy or something Billy Owens was a 6'10 guy who played well in college. However he didn't pan out in the NBA and bounced around to many teams. Wish they would have kept Run TMC together since they were fun to watch.

Billy Owens had talent, but it didn't materialize for him. Twice, the Warriors screwed up majorly during Hardaway's stint there. First, with Run TMC, and then when they traded Webber after 1 year. Even if Spree and Tim didn't get along, can you imagine a core of Tim, Spree, and C-Webb? And Mullin??

Its actually called the UTEP-TwoStep. Named after the college he attended. The TMC is from his days with GS Warriors. Three players, Tim Hardaway. Mitch Richmond, and Chris Mullin. Named after the seminal rap group Run-DMC. They were called Run-TMC.
