Thanks for uploading this. I believe more people have this disease than currently estimated, only they just don't know it because their case is mild and it is never diagnosed. We need people like you to raise more awareness so that doctors will start thinking of this disease as a possible diagnosis more often. I wasn't diagnosed until I was nineteen and I lived with it my whole life.

Hi Lisa, I myself had acromegly I was diagnosed in 1999 I had my op in 2000, thankfully all I have to have is regular check ups every 12 months, it's not pleasent and very few people understand, thanks for sharing.
hey, i'm 21 years old. i think i have acromegaly. i have protruding forehead, thick lips prominenting jaw and knuckles. i think that is getting bigger. i will be recived checkup.
your welcome. this is why i made the video so that poeple who may think they are not well or are getting no where with docs they can see symptoms and get checked out again with a bit of knowledge of acromegaly that they didnt have before. i wish you good luck with seeing the doctor, be sure to add that you want to see an endocrinologist and get blood taken. this disease is easy to diagnose and treat so dont back down, if you think you may have it push the doctors untill you get a result.
