  • I have the gir sweatshirt :)

  • AWESOME I love it rated a thumbs up

  • WOW, great piano version! I'm surprised Laura Shigihara still concern (and remember perfectly) about music from classic game years ago. I remember this song when I was playing Chip & Dale (NES) at the Final stage. It's very nostalgic. Thank you very much LAURA! You've made my day!

  • When I was a kid and played this game, this was my favorite song too. Thank you for reminding me of this song.

  • you like video games, music, and invader zim. I like you!

  • where can i get those gir arm thingys? i love em!. p.s. i came here from the moonlight video

  • thumbs up ftw!

  • Kitty attack xD 0:02

  • Amazing! I love the music which Ms. surpershigi makes.

  • great job as always, ... don't call me hipocritic but i tried the game and it was good x), there i admit it >.<, i can see the replies already :/ lol :P

  • Great!!

  • Hi. Did you ever think to play some final fantasy themes ? I would love to hear you play those awesome pieces. Maybe you already did, but if i may ask, you should listen to the "piano collections" sound track of final fantasy games (I recommand you the FF9 piano collections, I love it :)

Nice videos and great talent, by the way.

    (Sorry for my english)

  • Sorry for double-commenting, but will you do an improvisation of Zone D's music? I would love it!!!

  • Don't know the song but love the Gir wrist warmers!

  • 00:15am... sleep? nope, i have shigi to listen to first :)

  • You always choose my childhood favorite songs! Now if you could only play something from Darkwing Duck for the NES =P

  • @Olqavtoras Haha, I love Darkwing Duck! It was a really fun and well-designed game, and the music had this really cool jazzy-blues-melodic style to it. I was also a big fan of the show... Megavolt <3

  • @supershigi Whenever I mention Darkwing Duck NOBODY has a clue what I'm talking about - I love it!

  • @Olqavtoras I second this request for Darkwing Duck! I would prefer the first three stage themes or the boss battle theme. Ah heck, they're all good!!!

  • Hi! tech question here... Do you only use Korg Triton? Do you have any other keyboard?

  • @MethodicBR I have a piano and smaller travel keyboard (I also use whatever is in the studio when I go in), but for most work-related recordings I use the Triton. Also, when I compose, I do a lot of manual sequencing in Sonar 6 and X1 (I don't like X1's interface, I think they messed up the UI in a major way)... and I get samples from the Triton, as well as several other soft synths like Edirol Orchestral, Cakewalk TTS, Roland Groove Synth, EWQL, etc.

  • Yea, Metroid!

  • Excellent work! It fires up my blood hearing this! Zone J was the hardest stage, with the axes, conveyor belts, and those weasels that took TWO boxes to kill!! A real hero's theme!

  • Ha, you brought back really old memories, I haven't played that game since I was a kid and that clearly was my favourite theme ! I remember reaching that level, and then keeping the game running just to listen to that music in loop ... (good ol' times). Also, I loved throwing my brother, especially in that tree level :D

  • Beautiful!

  • Wow, you seriously know the most obscure video game music! Not only is it a lesser-known game, but you have to play until the very end in order to hear it. Miss Shigihara, you are legit.

  • @ShielaSweetie Haha, thanks :P I just remember noticing how much I enjoyed the music when I got to the last stage. I didn't own this game (borrowed it from the local video store), so it was one of the themes I had to record on casette tape to listen to later. Such a fun game... especially being able to throw your partner around, haha.

  • No way! My band, The OneUps, plays this! Can't believe anyone else remembers it!

  • Aw, poor Gir gloves! Metroid was probably like, "why are there eyes on your arms??"

Also, great job... I love your piano arrangements.

  • Metroid seems like such an awesome cat :) Great piano playing! Such a nostalgia trip.

  • I love listening to you play the piano, it always makes me feel happy and relaxed :) When are you going to do some more singing for us?

  • @jennychuchu I'm going to be collaborating with lonlonjp in a video soon, and there will be some singing in that ^_^

(You should check out his videos if you get the chance, he does awesome guitar covers of video game music)

  • Always gotta check your new video as soon as I get the email notification from youtube!

Very nice as always! Now...where is my "reset" piano improvisation from Okami?? T_T

  • Another great video from the supershigi! Loved this game on the NES, Zone J was my favorite theme, too.

  • I always have the biggest smile on my face when I see a new video from you in my sub box :)

  • @AzureCressington Haha, ditto on that!

  • @AzureCressington Haha, I was just thinking this :)

  • @AzureCressington Aww, thanks :) I'm happy you enjoy my videos!

  • @supershigi Ahhh, thank you so much for the reply! You just made my day! :)

  • first five seconds of video:AAWW KITTY! *nomnom* D:

I could listen to you play for hours, no joke. You are ridiculously talented and I love it! Can't wait to hear some more in the future:)

  • @KoricTheBrave Haha... I don't know why he gets so funny about those arm warmers (or any plush toy with really long fur)! Thank-you, I'm glad you enjoy my playing. I'll try to keep posting videos!

  • Exelent!!

    I love the piano :)

  • could you do a sonic song?

  • Everything is better with GIR arm warmers. Good work! =)

  • Love the cat.

  • Haha. Sweet memories. Really lovely rendition.
