BRAVO!! I'm learning this piece now as a beginner (I've been playing about 14 months), and I hope to record it in the next year or two. I'll be happy if it's half as good as this. Thanks for sharing!
Very good!! you are an extremely accomplished pianist. Technique and tempo are all there. The only thing that can improve is: YOu should play the presto con fuoco section a little more balanced...
I have read here where you say when you perform something from the beginning to end you use your instincts and not your head. Well yes, of course. The printed page only serves as a guide to what ultimately will lead to a manifestation of the spirit within. There is an inevitability here at work with you that I much admire as the narrative unfolds.
A sforzando - any accent of stress - need not necessarily be one of force but quite the opposite - a diminishing of sound. Nuance. You have elegance!
Fantastic. Isn't Chopin incredible. The piano is the greatest instrument! I hope you're sharing your talent as much as you can. The world needs as much beautiful music as possible.
This is a fine reading. You are defenitely not an amature.
My only suggestion is that you could add more color to the performance. Sometimes, it sounds that you are confined to the sound, rhythm, and technique and ignore the fact that you are telling a story to the listener.
Kinda annoys me that a moron like "Fred" can make his voice higher and get 500,000+ views, and this only has 866.
I play piano as a hobby, and I'm better than the average chord bashing moron trying to get girls, but this was amazing. I don't think I'll ever approach this level, I don't have the desire it would take.
You are a great pianist! you play so well over a range of composers and that's something really amazing! very good ballade, very intense but not "suffocating",you just did put the right mesure of rubato and emotions into it!
I liked it, but i would have liked the climaxes to be, well, more climactic. But maybe i'm thinking too much like i'm listening to an early Scriabin etude. Sadly Scriabin's etudes are exceedingly hard to find entirely, unless you just want to take a look at the famous 8th and 2nd opi.
I have just one question/doubt: you play the crescendo just before 4:45 and then draw the dynamic back (when you start bar 106), as if you didn't want to reach the "ff" when the second theme is reexposed... was that what you really meant? in my - very humble - oppinion, you should reach the "ff" and keep going, otherwise you lose the grandeur of that part a little bit.
The "Presto con Fuoco" is just GREAT! Completely clear!
you are right!i should have kept going to ff. when i perform something from the beginning to end i use my instincts and not my head so i think that's what happened here. i guess i wanted to let the listeners know that the second theme is repeated and to do this i changed the volume to soft instead of going to ff.. very good observation! more videos coming soon :)

I wish I could be more clear.
