  • which picture control are you using? did you post process the video?

    cheers.

  • Is this the lens it comes with? Great quality:)

  • which lens are you using? how do you get auto focus when you are recoding for video?

  • nice test!

  • Goldie is incredibly calm :)

  • Hahaha, why is it that the little dogs are always so fiesty, while the large are all humble? So cute lol.

  • I've seen my video tests full screen and the D5000 records it so good! good camera of course.

  • hi, what lens are you using?

  • great footage! hahha that little puppy looks fake. i love his/her run!

  • aaaaaaaaaw! more than the camera i want the dogs!

  • Their seems to be a lot of light flickers when you film, is there a way to get rid of that

  • my first test footage was not so good.. excelent

  • nikon is sill the best for photos but it seems canon is leading in hd videos

  • hahaha nice dogs and great camera

  • it way better than canon 550d

  • funny dogs XD

  • ohh, these dogs... really sweet :)

    D5000, nice job...

  • nice:)

  • are you forced to used auto focus once you start filming?

  • @roflmeidleme no, you can switch to manual focus. On some lenses you can hear the focus ring moving though. This camera has great video potential, but the audio is really bad.

  • aww cute dog so feisty my type of dog :)

  • the little one looks like my beagle

  • nice video, big dog kinda reminds me of that dog in the movie UP ^^

  • does the lack of a

sensor that shuts off the screen when you take your eye to the

viewfinder bothers you, and if it does, how badly?

    Thanks in advance!

  • that is a father son moment ha ? :)) very cute dogs, especially the little one(lots of energy)

  • I think camcorder makers should put a dslr sencer in a camcorder.

  • cute dogs

  • one thing i've noticed about the nikon digital cameras is that the brightness in the video footage fluctuates quite noticebly. from the cheaper to the high end ones. maybe they all have some common mechanics or something, but I think this should be fixed in their higher end cams. it just flucuates too much to be considered good footage. i've seen footage in sonys new DSC-H20 and this doesnt seem to be an issue. i don't normally buy sony products unless i have to their cams are fantastic.

  • you can actually hold a AE lock button that will stop the fluctuating light. But most new users don't know that such things exist that's why you see a lot of fluctuating in dslr home videos

  • great, please more of these.

  • great quality vid by the way!!

  • that small dog is amazing lol

  • Ohhh so cute the little dog is

  • how long can one video be on that D5000? more than 5min right?

  • Yeah 5 minutes.

  • ok thank you.

  • lol.. it depends on your memory card bud

  • It is actually a 5 minute limit per shooting. The issue isn't space, but heat. Assuming this is like what I've read about the D90, the camera will shut itself off or disable the video function to prevent damage from over heating.

  • @lightotw I've been looking for that answer forever, thank you.
