  • This or FZ6? I wish it could have the FZ headlights, and underseat exhaust!

  • The little Triumph has more kudos than most rice rockets put together, I also like the Duke's but prefer the British bikes........I don't know what the word is. It just is ok!!! Soul, that's its....SOUL. My word for the day.

  • Is it me or does Ricardo SS85 sound like a bell end?

  • haha adrenaline peaked at 2:15 resulting in a yahoo :)

  • The lack of answers actually says a lot about the Street Triple reliabilty;) I'm going with the Monster 796. Anyway, thanks!

  • @RicardoSS85 You're worried about reliability and you're gonna buy a Ducati? If you want reliability get a z1000 or a CB1000r. If you want magic, get the Triumph or the Ducati. Or a Shiver. Magic is what motorcycles are all about.

  • An inch higher on the camera would have been lovely jubberly, nice though!

  • People, I'd appreciate some opinions about possible reliability problems with the Street Triple. Mainly timing chain tensioner problems, oil leakage in the head gasket, coolant leakage in the radiator hoses and faulty electronics. Thanks a lot.

  • nice sound chap ! ;-)

  • Nice Jaguar XKR 1:34

  • you need to lift the camera just a little bit higher, cant see anything

  • You know you're enjoying a bike when an involuntary "yippee" comes out :P

  • Simple question. Should I get a new Street Triple R or a new Speed Triple? From watching onboard vids of both Street Triple looks like it might be a bit more exciting...

  • @s1914 thats the word around the block, Street Triple is fun, exciting and makes hooligans out of nuns, Speed Triple is great too but in a different way

  • I know the Triple has nice usable power throughout, but is it necessary to redline and hit the limiter so many times? Is there something I'm missing, perhaps? He handles the bike well enough, I guess...does he just not like to upshift, haha?

I've never owned a streetfighter or naked, but I'm becoming really interested in this bike. I wish a dealer was close by. Too bad it doesn't cost a few thousand less, too, haha.

  • brilliant camera placement...

  • riding like a tosser, I see.

  • i came @ 0:56

  • only thing comparable to riding IOM is Spain's Running of the Bulls. Both good items for one's "bucket list".

  • buy a Kawasaki

  • @eeky97 why?

  • @eeky97 I used to own a couple Kawsaki's. They are alright bikes, as far as I can tell. I don't think you can really compare the Street Triple to anything Kawasaki has though. The 650 Ninja or Er-6n aren't the same type of bike as the Street Triple, exactly. I would think Ducati has the closer competitor to this type of bike class. Though there is some blending in classes, the European bikes are a bit different than the Jap/American style that's so popular.

  • @krayjk

I probably be looking for a Street triple, but I'm not prety sure,,,,, the 3 cilinders engine is similar to a 4 cilinders or to a 2 cilinders?

    thanks, good vid!

  • This video is scary because the camera is so low that most of the time you can only see the speedo but not the road or incoming traffic (!)

  • Has anyone ever noticed if you say Isle of Man kinda fast it sounds like I Love Man? My girlfriend thought I was just saying I love man when she asked me where this was.

  • I can quite easily take a dump in 3 minutes, I'm usually gone in 60 seconds.

  • Where are the houses-is it just Asphalt and Gras???

    I want to go there!!!

  • you're so brave man lol

  • I'm selling my Gladius and I really want a Street Triple. But I'm not sure about the reliability. Can anyone share some opinions? Thanks a lot.

  • @odracirseraoseia1999 I bought the R model last year and love it. The motor is from the Daytona but tuned for power you can use on the street and still has a strong top end rush. If you are a big person you might want the Speed Triple but at 5'-8 and 160lbs it is perfect for me. The only issues I know of are a weak regulator/rectifier (I ordered the upgrade kit but newer bikes should already have it) and a few sticking cam chain tensioner complaints (easily fixed). Sounds better than the vid!

  • Comment removed

  • @odracirseraoseia1999 The R/R converts the alternator ac current to dc current and controls it to 12 volts. It is located between the swingarm and motor. It can fail in hot weather but warranty covers the upgraded R/R if needed. The cam chain tensioner is a spring-loaded plunger that keeps tension on the cam chain so it will not jump teeth on the cams and runs quietly. It is located on the right side of the motor and is easily replaced if needed but it is a rare problem. - Wayne

  • @odracirseraoseia1999 Just thought I'd mention that you will have a hard time keeping your driver's license on this bike! The R model is well worth the few extra bucks for the upgraded suspension and brakes. The video doesn't do justice to the sound; it sounds like a Ferrari as the revs build, especially the intake sound. The handling is superb and the seating position reasonable; at speed the wind just balances the weight on the arms and wrists. Feels like a much bigger motor than 675cc. Wayne

  • Sick vid buddy. This is the type of thing i wanted to see. Someone riding like they got a pair. I've always wanted one of these bikes. i read about them every other day. lol. Sounds so sick.

  • you must imagine, that this is your way to work!:D:D:D:D:D:D

  • milky is the fucking man! his crash was shit scary! everyone needs to look up the youtuber "shineysideup100" with the best isle of man vids on all of youtube!!!!

  • sounds like a porsche boxster. awesome.

  • why would you put the cam so low - cant see a f--king thing

  • ai meu bolço.

  • my dad has this bike !!!! =)

  • thats fkin scary

  • w it brakes, I'll give Gas.Grüße from Germany

  • not cool at all..... hey motorists- turn a little wide as they're passing by.

  • @JayTee441 twat. i think the motorists of the isle of man are more then a little used to motorbikes overtaking them, especially ones who are local heros!

  • You gotta love the yelp @2:13 :)

  • Comment removed

  • looks so safe...

  • What a beautiful tour....!

  • i can't belive how beautiful this bike is!!! =P, what a shame i don't have my licence yet...

  • nice video...thought your cam should have been higher...i keep stretchin my neck to take a peek of the road...sigh!

  • This is over "The Mountain". There are no locals and there is no speed limit..

  • This is over "The Mountain". There are no locals.

  • Lol im a bike-learner (test next week) and my instructor has one of these triples and they pull away like a f*cking TRAIN. +this guy milky is a absolute fucking legend!

  • My guess is locals hate motorcyclists by now.

  • @paolo27th My guess is that you know very little about neither motorcycles nor the Isle of Man.

  • @raptorama Probably. I know I`d hate if the roads around my house were used by tossers from allover the country who thought they where their private race track.

  • @raptorama

    well put, nice vid

  • @raptorama lol

  • @raptorama When they come and drive like this outside of the TT event, then yeah, they probably hate motorcyclists. This shit is what gives bikers a bad name.

  • @Moleskineman

Yu're American right? Then STFU and keep to your stupid country. At the IOM we love bikers and you probably fail to realize that there's no spd limit b/w towns at the IOM and car drivers expect us to overtake

  • This is over "The Mountain". There are no locals and there is no speed limit.

  • @black955tiger Oh, ok.

  • @paolo27th

my guess is that you are a massive vagina and are just jealous that you will never be able to ride a bike like that!

  • can't even have a dump in that time - rofl:))

  • I'm remastering this video footage now for HD widescreen and lots of previously unseen material. And the whole run up the mountain.

  • @raptorama is that you on the bike dude? nice riding

  • @raptorama ,try raising the cam 1st

  • @raptorama

Ah dude bro I'm picking up my '02 Sprint ST with the replacement '04 S3 955i lump tomorrow, the dreaded crankshaft shatter. Anyway great vid I will post it on my journal tomorrow!!!!

What equipment were you running, I do a lot of vids as well, about to move to a Canon 60D up from my Canon SX20 IS, still running iMovie '09 but you can get good with that if you are good in the first place :)

    Check current vids by searching:

    "Wagner + BMW"

    "Triumph"

    At my channel peace man!

  • @raptorama Please tell me you got some stuff of the camera a LITTLE higher up. 80% of the frame is taken up by handle bars and the dash!!!

  • Love the reaction at 2:15... woohooo

  • next bike deciding between dayton 675 or the street triple for practicality has to be the triple as has verified the power on this video. loving it

  • This guy is CRAZY he was driving on the

left side of the road all the time. LOL!!!

  • Is this a good beginners bike?

  • @new9876 at a $11-13k price tag (without the fancy exhaust), it's not a bike you'd want to drop.

That and it pulls 106+ horsepower compared to a Ninja 250's 22 or so horsepower.

If you've never ridden a bike before, this is NOT a good beginners bike. Stick to something like a Ninja 250 ($5k).

Remember, the goal is to learn, not to crash. Trust me, that sh*t hurts.

  • @ivank1 My first bike was a bandit 600. But I only paid $1500 for it, so I think its a decent starter bike. :p

  • @ivank1 Yep this guy is right. or if you have had some previous experience try maybe an EX 500 which is a ninja 500. There is no limit to what you can ride just to how you should go about doing so until you have enough experience to push the limits of any bike your riding. I started on a 750 katana for my first bike. And have had 2 since an 08 gsx650(write off) and an 99 ZX6 R ninja. Next will be an 06 GSXR 750 hopefully and i am only 19 so just remember ride safe and take your training course!

  • Hey Tor, Feel free to change gear now and again. You rev the titties off the street.

  • lol they send learners up the mountain, bet that scare the crap out of em when you thundered past

  • Awesome bike! Awesome Ride! Awesome Vid! TRIUMPH RULES!

  • This is possibly the best sounding engine available!!!

  • take the fearing off

  • lmao at 2:15, yippeee, lmao, classic! I yippeee a lot on my daytona 675 aswell, lol

  • This is what I'm getting after my DAS!

  • Pure sex!

  • FUCKING OVERKILL :D

  • there are no speed limits on the IOM outside the cities.......

  • the whistle is triumph trademark! once u've had triple there's no going back lol! the arrow's r brilliant & this bike is AMAZING to own & ride :-D

  • Ohh, a horse with 3 legs??!? \o/

  • I would buy this bike if it wasn't because of the whistling!!! What is wrong with the engeneers??????? wwwwwiuuuu, wwwwiuuuuuu, wwwwiuuuuuuuu ALL THE TIMEEEE!!!! :(

  • @chispygato

as appose to a 4 cylinders that sound like a pissed of bumbble bee....

  • @chispygato more to the point, whats wrong with ur taste? i think the problem is that u obviously have none, ffs the whistling sound is almost ambrosia to the ears, the roar of the triple IS ambrosia for the ears

  • Some close passing! This video is why the IOM is on my bucket list!

  • This bike sounds retarded awesome and rips hard...I ride a decent vtwin, and this is def my next bike. The four bangers simply don't appeal and the next logical 'twin' would be a duc - which gives me maintenance cost shivers. This bike offers an x factor, which is clearly demonstrated in this vid. Too bad we have a 50 over law in Toronto. Safe riding alll...watch out for coppers in choppers.......

  • just got a new one in phanthom black

  • wow man

  • So are there no police? Seems to me like you have free run of the place. I need to get myself over there!

  • Fantastic clip, But a little pitty the camera wasn't set a little higher.

  • this bike is sweeet

  • long gears for a sport bike! but does matter ! plenty of torque!!

  • ive got a new phantom black r being delivered this week videos on my blog

  • ive got a new phatom black r being delivered this week video on my blog

  • almost forgot, the engine is just the same of the daytona, just differnt valves to limit the power, otherwise it could do 256 kmh, just as the streetfighter...

  • even inside the "naked" you must distingish the middle class engines from the bigger ones.

in the end (in my opinion of course) the Street remains the best one, even just for the 3 cylinders, what a sound!! :)

  • if 0-100kmh (o-60mph) in 3.5 sec and top speed of 230 kmh (145 mph) is slow... tell me then what naked can do better...

  • Well i know a Z750 can do 155, because i have one.Even a Hornet 600 can to 145 .Ducati Fighter can do 165 . Z1000 does 165 ..Pretty much every naked is faster.

  • apart from the hornet all the other bikes have bigger cc so of coures thay will be faster.

the speed triple which is 1050 is faster then all of them

and if u read review about the ducati they all say the only good thing about it is it got it self in to 2nd place out of the best naked big bikes behind the speed triple.

  • well, i'd like you to notice that the streetfighter has 1099 cm3 and 155 hp, (so nearly a 2x engine, and so is the z 1000), the z 750 even with a bigger engine has the same torque and max speed (exactly the same, 228 kmh).

of all your examples i'd take just the hornet as a good one, little less cm3 but almost same torque and max speed...

  • My Z750 04 does 155 Mph and so do all the other Z750 on youtube..I got mine up to 252 Kmh And thats the top speed.

  • Comment removed

  • Big deal of your bike can do 150? Thats meaningless, the bigger the capacity the greater the top speed. Also helps with a half fairing. The point is. Not many nakeds compete with the hornets acceleration, especially considering it's only a 600, and then the fact it's 5k and then that it gets better fuel economy than all the bikes you mentioned.

  • Nice tachometer . This must be what mexicans see riding a motorbike

  • @MARKSWZ laughed my head off when i read this

  • Agree about the camera placement. Would have been a great vid otherwise.

  • really nice vid, how much preassure is the windshield getting off your chest? is it worth it? i like the speed triple better without it...

  • hi evey one im from moraira spain akd thesee bike it fucking beauifull and fast rally the bike of my dreamss

  • Very good job... except for the camera placement (already said)... :(

btw, if you come to Portugal, you'll get a 'R' version very easily. people here haven't realized yet how marvelous are this triple engines (i have a 955i and i am moving to a 1050 on next few days... - and i was heading for a Ducati StreetFighter but on the end i didn't like the Ducati seller here and decided to keep myself in Triple World!)

  • Heehehehe, oh dear...fun or wot!

  • surgical !

  • Camera set to low..

  • wtf u go on 13000rpm? wtf u broke the bike!

  • wtf are u retarded bikes have that much rpm to go that high retard....

  • @ Pioggiarello94- 13,000rpm is normal on a sport bike. It doesn't sound like you are familiar with motorcycle engines. Yamaha's r6 claimed 17,500rpm, but really reaches a 16,500rpm before reaching the programed Rev Limiter. This is some killer engineering considering its approaching the 19,000 RPM achieved by F1 race cars. Anyways these aren't your Toyota corola they are finely tuned machines ;)

  • If only the camera was 4" higher. :(

  • this is the kind of driving that gets you killed...but damn it looks fun. I wish i had some roads around me with those kind of turns

  • 675cc Street Triple R, the special version. A tiny bike with a huge heart. There is a long waiting list once you put your deposit down...

  • What is the waiting list now? When I ordered mine about 18 months ago the waiting list was six months.

  • @tonittian .. Dude its England everyone drives in the left side LOL.

    @GamerDUDE

Its Street Triple ..Speed Triple is another Version .

  • oh ok

i only heard of speed triple

  • street triple?

    its speed triple...

  • im wondering which is better (faster)

  • you´r driving wrong side of the road :D but still great video 5/5

  • omg...great rider, great bike!!!

  • This guy is Bonkers! But the Triple sure has the power!

  • @HighwaySage

Its the Arrow Slip-ons i think.

  • good sound exhaust

  • Are we hearing the stock exhaust? If not, which one is it? It's really music to me ears! Nothing sounds like a Triple. Thanks for the vid.

  • Wow

  • uuhhuu..;;kkk

    nice bike

  • Janx: I would pick the triple over the monster any day!! The size and weight comparison is very similar. But, the monster's 79hp compared to the triple's 106hp?!?!? There's no comparison.

  • if nothing else for me the sound of three is better than the sound of two

and the quality of finishing is better on triumph

  • Fu.... I mean Oh My!... still trying to decide what to do.. but this video and its sound quality (thanks :) ) help a lot..been hung mentally on the duc monster 696 for a while..but the sound here stirs my ears all the way to my tailbone!. and thinking about it..The Trump looks neater than the Duc and looks as though is suits a bigger rider..I am heavyset 5'11" and about 115kg..sat on a Duc last week and its was a almost surgical job to get my nuts back in place..going to Trump shop this week :)

  • friggen sweet bike

  • 5:15

  • i had an erection for the first five minutes,,, if you had the camera mounted on the hangle bars i wouldve came udoubtedly

  • Gee, thanks for "sharing!"

  • sorry,,, i was feelin a lil froggy when i watched this,,,, my bad,, my bad

  • sound, 5 stars

  • man that bike sounds sexy

  • 118 mph is as high as I saw

Digital readout just beneath the cables on the tach

  • the canadion bike wil never do that its nice but the fuel we get here is crap

  • is this bike turbo charged? i hear a whistle

  • its just it being a trident .

  • caracteristic sound of in-line 3 cylinders

  • ma è in migia o km/h ???

  • miles/hour

  • woohoo!! makes me feel like going out for a blast!!

  • shite

  • Great engine, nice bike, cool vid. 5/5

  • Camera should have been mounted on the "Fly Screen"...........Awesome bike...........The Street Triple R and the Aprilia 750 Shiver is on my short list.

  • Sounds rather sexy!! I want one lol

  • Moto d'exception dans la catégorie roadster. A essayer de toute urgence !!

  • I have a monster and... what a differencethis bike makes!!!! it is light years ahead. I can't believe it is a 675. I was thinking of getting a bigger bike (aprilia) for trips to Europe but I think this video had changed my mind.why dont they do the R vesion in white?

  • awsome vid if the cam. was an inch higher ......

  • hi, was the wheelie at 5:15 on 2nd gear?

    with clutch too, right?

  • Sounds lovely!

  • that bike does the biz. looks great and quick as shit

  • I love my street triple. Its kick ass and I have all the extras. Everywhere I go people stare at my bike! Triumph Street Triple rocks!!!

  • Seriously!

I ride a Thrux right now and I messed around on my friends worked street triple.. I'm damn near converted. Power wheelies through the first 3 gears, batman look, and a unique sound.

    Beautiful creature.

  • Rode a 675 (now 'Daytona') & an R6 back to back when they both came out.

    Both had sweet handling.

The 675 was way nicer, load more grunt.

Thought the R6 was way vibey.

Slightly odd sense of being perched over the Triumphs front wheel - still prefered it.

Too close to call against a CBR 600RR tho. The 675's still got more grunt but the balance of the CBR's astonishing.

  • Awesome! Those bikes will run circles around my Thrux. There's something that feels so "right" with sport bikes! Haha! I have to get one.
