THIS IS SO FUCKING AWESOME. I WAS ON MY WAY TO HOME DEPOT TO BUY SOME 9 INCH NAILS, GET IT... KINDA LIKE THE BAND BUT-... ANY WAY, SO I WAS ON MY WAY TO GET SOME 9 INCH NAILS WHEN A VAN PULLED IN FRONT OF ME AND ON THE SIDE IT READ "FREE CANDY". SO IM LIKE 'FUCK YA' FREE CANDY! SO I HOP IN THE VAN and he raped me. he sodomized my ass hole with 10x the force of you throwing those gay ass nails. fuck
you may be, may not be an expert, but i cant get the throw down. Ive tried it and changed my technique JUST as you did in the vid. any common mistakes you can recommend that i may be doing? the problem for me is getting it to fly straight
I would reccomend heating the tip, burying in sand to let cool, then file/sharpen, then heat again and quench in water. the slow cooling is called anealing, and makes the steel softer and easier to file. then the water tempers it and makes it hard so it holds an edge.
@Dannybroadsword1 quenching in water isnt tempering, its hardening, and you do not bury in sand because it can put impurities in the steel, and im not sure but those nails looklike aluminum
@purejpm Technicaly speaking, tempering is the process of quenching and normalizing. and unless the steel is completely molten, the sand will just act as a cooling retardant. it will not contaminate the steel. and those nails are most likely galvanized steel, which really shouldn't be worked hot anyway.
@Dannybroadsword1 you are correct about the heat treating, but tempering the steel is when it has been hardened and is brittle so you heat it slightly to releive some stress in the tool. what i meant to say about the sand is that it will melt around the steel creating a glassy resiidue that you need to chip away
@purejpm that is usualy just called normalizing, and tempering usualy refers to the whole hardening and normalizing process. and to aneal, the metal wouldn't get hot enough to melt the silica if just regular (non-silica) sand is used. you can also use ash as well.
@Dannybroadsword1 you can't heat treat nails, the carbon content is too low (usually), if you want to heat treat metal you should research it first but you can buy square barstock from mcmaster.com (or wherever) W1 tool steel works great and is cheap as dirt. you can do a simple heat treat job with a welding torch (don't forget to temper after you harden or they will break). but heat treating shuriken is not necessary, mild steel works just fine.
lol i just use any knife i can get my hands on. for some reason i am really good with my bushman fighting knife. i throw it perfectly almost every time. but it has a 12 inch blade and it is like 1.1 pounds lol.
@MetallicA9112 yeah i made one yesterday and my bro thru it at me and it stabed in my leg, i pull it out and i can see the meat in my leg, well then i gave him a bloody nose and stabed him in the arm,
@iamrandom837 Actually that's a junker guitar I took it apart and fixed up another one with the parts. lol. But if that was my good guitar it would suck.
It would be funny if it hit your giutar

MetallicA9112 11 months ago
@MetallicA9112 well im serious that i think satanists are stupid but the pentagram means alot of different things btw i was just kidding
jfreeman021 11 months ago
@jfreeman021 Well the one I have is specifically a Satanic pentagram, but I'm not a Satanist; I just find it humorous.
