I have listened carefully to the anthem of Argentina and is also very beautiful but I think (my very modest and humble opinion as a musician) that the Mexican anthem is truly among the first three most beautiful anthems ever composed.

Mis respetos para Lavolpe que es muy criticado pero al menos en este partido me hizo sentir orgulloso de mi selección, al menos se murió dando todo en la cancha.
Regardless, for the Mexican teams, ive never seen one game where the entire team doesnt sing and give the salute, which is a lot more than I see from some other teams, especially during less important games than the world cup.

Soy Uruguayo y pienso lo mismo que appriljoe. El himno Argentino es mas delicado y suena con variaciones super lindas, suaves y finas. No se muy bien de que se trata la letra porque nunca la escuche (siempre escucho nada mas esta introduccion), pero la melodía es muy bella (tiene muchisimos altos y bajos que lo hacen super elegante), no suena desordenada o monotona.
Vi partidos de los pumas (seleccion de rugby) y ellos cantan el himno argentino como nunca vi
Seriously: the part at 0:26 is killing me!! Just gorgeous! when the sound turns lower it's majestic and delicate. It begins strong and ends stronger. Im a music student and this anthem has an excelent variation of ups and lows (like at 0:34, 0:44 and 0:57) I'm falling in love with this Anthem. It's on my top ten for sure! El himno de México empieza directamente cantando "Mexicanos al grito de guerra", en cambio, siempre que juega la selección de fútbol Argentina (al ser tan largo el himno) pasan la introducción y no hay tiempo para llegar a la parte de la letra. Igual para mi, la sola introducción es BELLISIMA.

@AndyCappBG Quite honestly i dont know. But the only reason/explanation i can think of is...to symbolize that they are warriors and soldiers of the game. because Mexico's nickname are Los Aztecas and Los Guerreros. Guerreros means warriors in spanish. thats what i believe, but i may be wrong.
@AndyCappBG when youre in school, they teach to to respect your flag no matter what. So standing military-like is like a symbol of respect to the flag. We are taught this, and basically means that we respect our flag and country and are willing to defend it. If the flag is not present, you dont have to salute i think...i cant remember it's been a while since the last time i sang the national anthem :/ sad !! hope that helped

El himno Mexicano fue escrito durante un tiempo donde Mexico era el centro de invasion extranjero, el autor de el himno escogio esa letra para inspirar a los Mexicanos para que no bajaran las armas y pelearan por independencia, para levantar la moral de la poblacion Mexicana. si no quieres parecer ignorante primero informate. tambien el himno de Mex fue nombrado uno de los 3 mejores del mundo

@Reaperss No lo digo yo, lo dice la comite olimpico. en las olimpiadas del 2004 y 2008 los himnos de Russia, Francia y Mexico fueron nombrados los 3 mejores himnos por su letra y musica. el primer himno dado ese honor fue la Japonesa "Kimigayo" durante un concurso en Alemania en 1903, despues el himno de China gano ese honor en las olimpiadas de 1936 que fue la primera vez que un comite olimpico nombre un himno como la mejor, pero en este momento RUS, FRA y MEX tienen los mejores himnos.

@kailaaliak Mi punto es que el himno argentino "no tiene letra" porque nada mas pasan la introducción acústica, cosa que el himno Mexicano no tiene. Empieza directamente cantando "Mexicanos al grito de guerra".
No dije que uno es mas largo que el otro. Simplemente estoy explicando el porque nadie esta cantando la letra.
Antes de preguntar cual es mi punto, mira el contexto y encontralo vos mismo, es una obviedad.

De los pocos partidos donde uno en realidad se puede sentir orgulloso de la selección mexicana independientemente de si pierden o ganan no como los octavos del 2010 que fueron un asco. Mis respetos para Lavolpe que es muy criticado pero al menos en este partido me hizo sentir orgulloso de mi selección, al menos se murió dando todo en la cancha.

Regardless, for the Mexican teams, ive never seen one game where the entire team doesnt sing and give the salute, which is a lot more than I see from some other teams, especially during less important games than the world cup.

Soy Uruguayo y pienso lo mismo que appriljoe. El himno Argentino es mas delicado y suena con variaciones super lindas, suaves y finas. No se muy bien de que se trata la letra porque nunca la escuche (siempre escucho nada mas esta introduccion), pero la melodía es muy bella (tiene muchisimos altos y bajos que lo hacen super elegante), no suena desordenada o monotona.
Vi partidos de los pumas (seleccion de rugby) y ellos cantan el himno argentino como nunca vi

Seriously: the part at 0:26 is killing me!! Just gorgeous! when the sound turns lower it's majestic and delicate. It begins strong and ends stronger. Im a music student and this anthem has an excelent variation of ups and lows (like at 0:34, 0:44 and 0:57) I'm falling in love with this Anthem. It's on my top ten for sure! After United States and France of course
And thats only the instrumental intro! (amazing), so unfair there are no lyrics on that part!

Im from USA, and after listening both of them, I prefer Argentinians National anthem (NOT trying to offend anyone please!), but Mexico's sounds like those cowboy cartoons that used to be on tv long ago (specially at: 1:54), lol

@kailaaliak Cuando hablamos "intro" nos referimos a una introducción instrumental. Argentina es uno de los pocos países que tienen una introducción al himno antes de empezar a cantar la letra
El himno de México empieza directamente cantando "Mexicanos al grito de guerra", en cambio, siempre que juega la selección de fútbol Argentina (al ser tan largo el himno) pasan la introducción y no hay tiempo para llegar a la parte de la letra. Igual para mi, la sola introducción es BELLISIMA.

@AndyCappBG Quite honestly i dont know. But the only reason/explanation i can think of is...to symbolize that they are warriors and soldiers of the game. because Mexico's nickname are Los Aztecas and Los Guerreros. Guerreros means warriors in spanish. thats what i believe, but i may be wrong.

@AndyCappBG when youre in school, they teach to to respect your flag no matter what. So standing military-like is like a symbol of respect to the flag. We are taught this, and basically means that we respect our flag and country and are willing to defend it. If the flag is not present, you dont have to salute i think...i cant remember it's been a while since the last time i sang the national anthem :/ sad !! hope that helped
