i disagree with most of you, but i do agree(espetioally in the ego line) that your paying extra for brand name, but to an extent, a dye will shoot quiter/straighter/more accurately, and will be lighter, better quality than lower ends, its like saying "my 1989 chevy will do the job" but a 2009 chevy is something to pay for...anyways, i like the dm9, for now im getting a dm7, but once the price hits around 900 for these im buying one

I have one thing to add, I know someone is going to tell me I can't afford one and that's why I flamed the DM9, but I own TV remotes that cost more than this.

I recently bought an ION XE for one reason. I know three people that own the original ION and have never broken a ball, ever. Three years, three people and no breaks.

I've never tried a Dye marker but the pricing is too insane compared to other great markers that dont break paint and shoot 17 BPS perfectly straight.

Dye makes nice markers but $1400? Isn't any reliable marker that shoots pantballs out at 280-300 FPS pretty much the same?

It's all about getting through two rounds without chopping or breaking paint. I see all the Kingman owners pouring paint out of the barrel and heading back after half a round.

You could buy 9 IONs for this kind of money.

the dm9 is very similar to the dm8 just a bit lighter and other things...not worth an extra 200-400 dollars....i would with vice depending on what you already have. The dm7 to a dm9 is not a good choice....the dm7 is good enough

thats what i love about the SL series... they do improve greatly previous markers drastically... for example the sl74 introduced the cure bolt, was much more lighter and faster and with the sl8r they dramatically improved the design and the solenoid speed..it can shoot up to 40 bps.. of course no loader can match that!!
