Diana had such a wonderful personality and a real heart and so mighty different to that strange family. I had a good laugh when someone described Charles like a primitive priest of the Mideival Era. LOL LOL. That is a very good description indeed. I don't think that William and Kate will last all that long. I find Kate to be an opportunist and I don't care for her at all. I think that William made a big mistake.

Diana herself was so sure that their marriage would work--she didn't want another divorce like her parents. But old habits die hard. She divorced, and I don't think it will be long before we see another divorce in the papers....

I think the Queen mum was kind to her, but they pretty much threw her to the wolves without any formal training on what to expect when marrying into the royal family. She pulled it off beautifully.

She was a scion of British noble stock and had more Briitsh blood flowing through her veins. The Spencer were even considered to more than royal than Royals themselves which made Diana and her children more worthy and more legitimate to British throne. She was a true Brit, not the Windsors.

Prince Philip has made some very contorversial comments about things he's observed in the 64 years he's been married to Queen Elizabeth. For example when visiting Canada with the Queen some 60 years ago Philip referred to Canada as "a good real estate investment" which got him into touble with the British & Canadian press.

There was clearly a big age gap between Prince Charles and Lady Diana by almost 13 years, him being 32 and her being 20. But could a couple at such a wide age gap still remain happily married?
