It is not Walmart who is to blame, but all of us, the consumers and laborers of the American economy. We want to pay pennies for products we would demand dollars to produce. Discount retailers are symptoms of our own consumption habits. Every professional action any of us take is a profit-driven action, so there is no reason to demonize Walmart's leaders.
Almost everything is made in china. I am even finding stuff like candy being made in china. Other countries use china too but the US is pretty ridiculous.

yeah but sam waltons visions was to use US products the most... and the new ceo's don't keep his vision alive..... sam would turn over in his grave if he knew what was happening
The Unions got greedy and the mercantilist came in and destroyed most of American capitalism by using slave labor in 3rd world nations to manufacture the goods making it ultimately impossible for paid labor to compete.Slavemart will be all that is left in 30 years or less.Major pickle.
Walmart buys from vendors who give them the best price. Quality is not a big concern for them anymore. I work at Walmart and see the quality of it's products has deteriorated over the years. It now is more about how MUCH product they can push to the shelves. NOT the quality of the products. I worked for them 14 years ago for 2 years and it was better then.

Wal-Mart is not evil, they are living in a magical world where they don't seem to improve problems, they only throw a band aid over it.
I know because I work there.
But, the problem is the sick leave policy. Wal-Mart should allow for sick time without putting it in the system as a demerit against you.
Grow up little children running this business and other businesses that don't allow for sick time unless it is planned in advance.

Target, unlike Wal*Mart, actually DOES put large amounts of money back into the community.
The ONLY time Wal*Mart does anything for their communities, is when the EMPLOYEES do the donating.
Look for a yt video called Wal-Mart Sues Disabled Woman (Debbie Shank).
