  • I wrote two big stories about my anti escape modes! WHY ARE THEY GONE THEY HAD OVER 800 CHARACTERS 10 MINUTES OF WRITING!

Argh..... Well they were about the Ptfe first being not white and me discovering that and then I saw a ant climbing and he fell like a rock but it was stuck on his feet so he wasnt able to get up anymore. And othera nts felt too but they had dry pfte so it didnt stick, and i said that Talc works best on plastic and not on glass or metal and youve to refresh it.

  • Thanks I just got a 10ml.

I hope my ants wont escape anmore

  • @PyroFreakDJ Be sure you apply it on glass or metal! Turns out it doesn't really work on plastic.

Thanks for the fast reply. My talkum powder wasnt working, I refreshed it 2 times but my 'Lasius niger' workers just walked across it. I placed a glass thing on it from their Yton, wich they don't need yet. Well, I removed the talkum for the second time and aplied the PTFE, however it was not white, I aplied a second layer but saw that when it dried it became white so I did a nice (with tape) line of PTFE and it dried i had a nice white (not full white) line a worker felt of the side

but as it was still a little wet it was stuck on her feets or something because she wasnt able to get on the glass anymore for a few minutes. But every single ant failed trying to get out of their tank. This stuff is like magic! I ordered it from Antstore not from your website because shipping is cheapest on Antstore.

But ill pm you some pictures. But this stuff is really good! I got a glass tank so no worries. I think talkum powder works best on plastic and not on glass, haha :P

I mean Talc with talkum powder, I refreshed it 2 times but it just doesnt have effect

  • Succes!

Can i make a homemade PTFE?

  • It's impossible to make PTFE yourself but you can use talc.

The problem of talc is that is works for less time (less than a few weeks with big colonies) and it's more difficult to apply on walls.
