what size yamaha is on the viper and dose it have a jack plate the boat seems to handle very well at top speed its hard to beat those tunnel hull boats for top speed I just bought a allison craft xb-2002 bass boat with a mercury optimax 175 with a little work done to it i had it up to about 80 but my handling is not as stable as I would like really still just getting use to it my boat is sort of like your viper quick out the hole but dosen't have the top end most stv's do

The viper approx. 85-86 (had my 26p 4 blade), the stv somewhere around 110mph. (30p merc. cleaver) I now own the cleaver and get around 91-92 with it..

Thanx!! No the hull is not gutted, wanted to but didn't do it. I did rework the floor and used a thin fiberglass box for a stringer, and also thin fiberglass panel for the floor. I am running two buckett seats up front with nothing in rear. I have an 18 gal. fuel tank in the rear along with the battery. As for the front, I only have two 6x9 speaker boxes and a few life jackets. At first I tried to run a 12 gal. plastic fuel cell in the bow, and couldn't control the chine walk above 65..

Well the fastest STV out there ran 151mph And the fastest Ally out there is not within 10mph of it. Allys do hold a ton of records but fastest 20 footer isn't one of them. Worlds fastest bassboat, most winningest drag hull ever (because it's been around alot longer than most of the stuff dragging nowadays), and a few more.
