  • How good is a tricep rope on it?

  • @jkrizer1 its my favorite exercise on the machine.

  • I hope I am wrong about this, but putting an excercise machine in the relaxing room is doom to fail. Tower Power works better. Good Luck and be consistent!

  • Thx for the demo vid! Good vid, wat i was looking for.. My girlfriened ordered this machine site to store (is free that way!) and i gonna start assembling tonight hopefully.. How long did it take you to assemble this rig..?

  • @RockIbanez85 It seemed like it took me all day, but I'm sure that all together it was about 3 1/2 hours. The trick is move at a very slow and steady speed. Don't be in a rush or you will make some mistakes. Moving slow, purposeful, and deliberate will help you not make mistakes and not get confused. Good luck :-)

  • @GlockNinja Thx for the response! Nice to know..

  • hey can you do leg curls on this machine>?

  • @BM95ss yes.

  • To add another variation to below - sit on something to raise rear and put legs over lower pads to stabilize unit during lifting.

  • You can do modified Military Press by sitting on floor facing leg lift and position knees under pads. With straight bar attached to lower cable, lift bar overhead. You may need to lower back slightly.

  • Have you had any wear issues with the XR-45 ? Is the nylon coated cable still in good shape ?

Are pulleys still in good working condition ?

  • any good shoulder workouts on this machine?

  • @josh87745 Not that I know of.

  • Hello is it possible to assemble this in an aprt that is barley at a height of 76.5 inches? Thank you

  • @5jrocha yes.

  • I bought this gym because of this video last week, everything was great but the leg press/ sing the ankle strap is almost impossible. I used only one weight and it was extremely hard to lift

  • @happymedontcry yes..very true. Same with mine. It is very hard but if you use only one or two weights, it is not impossible. If it feels impossible then perhaps you should make sure all of the cables are lined up properly. But you are right...it is very hard.

  • I own this gym. You can do alot more than shown here. The only thing one can't do is a military press. This video is a joke.

  • @laffertyhillbillies can you do a video to show us? I am curious.

  • How can you work abs on this machine?

  • I put this together yesterday and it wasn't too bad. I love everything other than the low pulley. It doesn't work very good for preacher curling because the stop rubs against the metal cable guard. Other than that, it's great. High pulley, chest fly, chest press, leg extension... all work great. I'll have to buy some dumbells or a curl bar for more effective preacher curls.

  • I bought Gold's Gym XRS 30 System wish it came with more weights tho

  • @busymavado12 I'm sure the newer models will give you more or have improved design. But I'm glad the price is the same.

  • @GlockNinja x Yeah, it cost around 219 but i bought the insurance thing and it doesnt have the desk thing like yours.

  • @busymavado12 Hahah, desk =). It's a preacher pad for preacher curls. You can buy that attachment for the XRS30 for $30.00. I bought the XRS30 and the preacher pad all together for $230.00 so it comes out cheaper than the XR45 and it has more weights (280 lbs max resistance I believe). I'll be picking it up tomorrow from Walmart and will be interested to see what all the hype is about when it comes to assembly.

  • cables + pullys are mad hard to put together ... help?

  • @TheHitAndKill Move slow and deliberately. Do one thing at a time. Follow the steps given to you in the diagrams. Expect to take all day. Don't rush. If you followed the directions...some parts do seem a little awkward but the cable are simple if you don't let it overwhelm you.

  • @GlockNinja Thanks GN, do you have the link to your other video about assembling the Gold's Gym XR-45?

  • are there any calf exercises?, and how much weight does it go up 2?

  • @chunkymilkclusters2 The actual weight is about 82lbs. But the resistance at max setting is about 180lbs.

  • @GlockNinja sorry...about 220lbs.

  • I recently buy one, but i'd like to know a excercise's routine, help me please

  • hi man how did u buy it through wallmart can u send me the website plz

  • @lebnany27 Got to Walmart(dot)com and type in search Gold's Gym XR-45 then order it from online to pickup at store.

  • Thanks glock can u make another vid plzz

  • So this machine did nothing for you?

  • What the hell is a mex seting?

  • @VampireLewisNight 220lbs max of resistance. The weights themselves are about 180lbs.

  • @GlockNinja not what I ask but ok. Got any recent videos of urself after using this machine for 2 years? A picture of any changes?I ask cause I wanna know if it's made you bigger.

  • I had the same machine how much does one of the weight weigh?

  • do u have tha weights on top ?

  • @joebety1 the weights are behind me on the bottom and it is pulled up by cables. ( Pully system).

  • hi great video this machine just got way cooler! :) can you demonstrate the leg curl?

  • What do you mean by 80 lbs?

  • @DATfatWHORE the weight total 80lbs but the resistance over 200lbs.

  • It's only $250 now but how's the quality of it so far? I'm looking at getting it in a few months when i move. If I use it 30 minutes every day how much weight would I loose every week?

  • @MegaDeathwarrant If you use light weight settings maybe a few pounds. But this machine is mainly for strength and muscle build. But since muscle burns calories ...fat burning may occur. :-)

  • @GlockNinja lol good answer

  • wait, so its only 80 lbs??? or is it 210 lbs???

  • whats the reason why it makes noise? and how much stack lb. is included? ty

  • @deleonericjohn24 Its about 210lbs of resistance but I think the weights all equal about 80 pounds. I might be wrong..but I know its not a lot...but the resistance is 210lbs max. The noise is from the weights moving up and down the rail / tubes and the cables moving through the pullies.

  • Comment removed

  • @GlockNinja

    Note, Taken!

  • Cool! I bought one from my neighbor without the manual or instructions on how to use it.

So it took me a while to understand it's uses.

This video gave me an idea about how it works, thanks!

I've read the other comments that this machine may not be for body building, but would it do any good on giving me a muscular body and lose sufficient weight??

    -

And why don't the Weight Bars have a print on them that says how much they weight? I don't know if I put them in right order.

  • @TheMegaJuniorC To lose weight..it is probably better to use very light weights with more reps. and add in a walk or jogging on the treadmill or outside. To build a muscular frame, I would imagine you need to eat a lot of protein and lift heavier weights. :-)

  • on the walmart website it said the stack only went up to 81 lbs is that true?

  • @Jaysofresh15 that maybe true...but the resistance is 210lbs. max.

  • @GlockNinja ok thanks

  • Great machine for the money! I bought in Jan and have lost 25lbs since i started working out on the machine. Would approve for anyone looking to get in shape and stay fit. Great vid.

  • @dbocca07 thanks a lot. 25lbs is a lot of weight. Good for you. I think it is just as important to build strength as it is to lose weight. I think with men, losing fat is good but gaining strength and some muscle definition is important as well. With women, I recommend very light weights and a lot of repetitions. I'm not a health expert but I did sleep at a Holiday Day Express last night. LOL

  • how many pounds are included with it?

  • @pbeuck86 About 210lbs of total resistance. Not sure the actual total weight of the weights. But 210lbs of resistance is what it says on the ad.

  • really appreciate it bro, thanks alot.

  • how tall is it assembled? I read it was 76 inches but from the manual I downloaded says it is 79. Which once is correct?

  • @aasdfasdfsdafasdf I'm 5ft 8in tall and you can see me standing near the machine and get an idea. I never measured it.

  • Hey im around 5'4 inches tall and im in football and i want to bulk up... do you think this will help out?

  • @DATfatWHORE Yes. it will build your strength and if you do enough reps and weight, I am sure you will build up your muscles.

  • Thanks for the video. It was very helpful

  • Gracias por el video. Muy útil

  • Planning on getting one...I am around 6'2" . Would it still be fine?

  • @crystosis I think it will be a bit of a squeeze at your height. Go to Dicks, Sears, and other department stores that carry gym equipment...even if they don't carry this exact model, try out the cheapest and smallest one they have and see how it feels. If those feel okay, then Gold Gym is not that much different.

  • @GlockNinja I think this is made for teenagers, women, and smaller adult males. For serious body building, I think free weights and bigger machines are in order.

  • I should get mine tomorrow and looking forward to picking it up at Walmart paid 249+ tax that is it! not a bad price, plus will complement my AbGlider that I recommend and my BullyXtreme4 that completes everything I need plus my Bike for outdoor activity!

  • I just ordered one. I'll let you know what I think in a few weeks after I receive it and start using it.

  • @RealTallWolf1 If you are looking to do body building with it, you will be disappointed. Although its not impossible to shape your body into a muscular build with it, it would take a lot of effort. But I've heard you can build a very lean muscular body just doing push ups. But anyway, this machine is great for building strength and working your major muscles. I think you will like it. Good luck putting it together. Putting it together right makes it work a lot better.

  • @GlockNinja I wouldn't buy a home gym for body building. This is for rehabilitating a bad knee and shoulder. My concern is at 6'-8" tall whether or not the seat to top height is concerned. Difficult to purchase something when no one in my town has a display to check out, so you have to buy by faith.

  • they are noisy...but other then that its a good work out

  • whats the weight resistance on the chest exercises?

  • @cunterkooter I've tried to lift the max. Its very hard for me. So I guess about 180lbs.

  • @GlockNinja lol you weak, im only 15 but i can easly lift 160 lbs like 15 times :D (chest press)

  • @impactkidftw Well, aren't you just fucking special?

  • nice video I just ordered one from walmart online and it was only $257.00 so they dropped the price. Again thanks for the demo

  • @bw2182 Anytime. If you use it regularly, you will notice getting stronger. Even if you only use it about 15 to 20 minutes every other day. It is still better than doing nothing.

  • I am a 5 ft. 3 in. woman and concerned about the being too short for the equipment. Are parts of the equipment (seat, butterfly piece, preacher pad) adjustable for different heights?

  • @suelam0 No. It is not adjustable. I am 5ft 8in tall. I do not see you having any problems. My wife and mother in-law are 5'5 and 5'6, and they do not have any troubles. I think if you sat on a cushion or pad, I do not see you having problems. Its actually built for smaller people, I think.

  • good demo bro, not tryin to bust your balls or anything but you're using the preacher curl station wrong (the part you layed on)

  • thank you

  • thx for the demonstration aswell. have been looking at this gym and a few others so nice to see it in action.

  • can you buy and add additional weights to the machine?

  • @raven28690 I am not sure. But if you can, I can't see you being able to add a lot.

  • @GlockNinja thx.

would be nice if you could add another 100 pounds to what the gym has although if it didnt mention anything in the instruction manual about adding additional wieght, its PROBABLY not possible.

  • not bad, good demonstration!

  • @mxh91 thank you.

  • @mxh91 thank you.

  • seen ur robot vacuum cleaner ......kinda ironic isnt it? get more exercise by vacuuming your self

  • @zombone3535 I do not do the cleaning in my house. But the vacuum cleaner we have is only 5lbs and although it is still exercise, I do not think it will build strength like weight training.

  • so it is kind of noisy... do you think its too noisy for an apartment?

  • @CajCoo for upstairs? yes.....it makes a clanking sound...but not all may do that. It may also depend on how well you put it together. If you live in Apartment, I would get something like bowflex...very quiet.

  • Don't do the lat pull downs (what you called military press) behind your head its bad for your neck, always do in front of your head. Thanks for the video demo though, that machine is noisy as all get out.

  • @proudjobber thanks for the advice and correction. :-)

  • Just had mine delivered Tuesday and I love it! Great machine for the price and like you said,it doesn't take much space.I listen to music while I'm working out so the noise from the machine is not a negative for me.I bought a treadmill a few month ago and that was one of the best investments I have ever done.Lost over 60lbs.

  • @cobra06608 that's great. I hope you get to and stay at your desired weight.

  • also was wondering are the wights heavy to lift? I hope so.

  • @drawanime that is relative. Based on your strength. I think it will give even the strongest person in shape some resistance on higher settings.

  • do you know whats the weight limit?

cuz my roommate is 335lb and he doesn't want to break it by sitting on it , and i dont him you wont.

  • @drawanime I don't think there is a weight limit but if your friend is 335lbs, I doubt if he could fit in the machine to sit on it.

  • thanks for the demo man :)

  • @drawanime thank you.

  • I am completely dissatisfied with this machine! You're supposed to be able to do several leg exercises using the lower pulley; however, unless you are able to initially lift 46 to 57 pounds or more, forget it! That's per the pro I had assemble it, the manual and a tech I called about this problem. The weights are not 10 pounds as stated in the comments. The problem is the design of the machine and therefore is not correctable. If u are working upper body or you can lift that much, you're fine.

  • @only1thedyb You are right about the leg lift exercises. They are very difficult. But if you take the pin out you will be left to lift the very bare minimum and you should be able to do some leg exercise no matter how much of a beginner you are. Unless of course if you have a disability or you are considerably of age.

  • @GlockNinja Hi GlockNinja no this is not related to the leg extension part of the machine where there is a pin. I'm talking about the lower pulley system with the chain where you are supposed to be able to do several of the exercises. I'm a fit woman who has been exercising for over a year now. I just can't lift 46 to 57 pounds at this point.

  • Don't you use gym clothes??? What's with the jeans and sunglasses???

  • @popactor I made the video at last minute. I was not working out. Just wanted to demo the thing. The such glasses is like the same reason some wrestlers wear masks. To keep people from recognizing me.

  • Anyone interested in buying this gym set .Walmart will ship it to your home for 97 cents and it still cost $277. Great Deal!

  • ive been eyeing this machine for awhile thanks for da vid,on the site it says up to 210 lbs of resistance is this true?

  • @arceisiah I looked at the weights and they are not marked. Total weight is 81 pounds. But the resistance way higher because I can barely budge the Max setting.

  • GlockNinja what i meant was what are the weight intervals

  • @Msherman968 10 pounds per bar. 8 bars so totally of 80lbs but you can order more weights.

  • @GlockNinja if want the full specs, go to Walmart's homepage and look it up under sport, fitness and exercise section.

  • Thanks for your videos on the XR-45. I just finished setting it up. The instructions are straighforward UNTIL the cables comes into place. I had to watch your video to know how that the cable harnesses in the back hang. I'll have to see how the machine holds up. But right off the bat, it seems that the cover that goes over the plates maybe unnecessary as it slams into the weights and this is where most of the noise comes from. Thanks again though, your videos helped.

  • @mcserve You're welcome. I hope you get a lot of use out of it.

  • Thanks so much for the quick reply. I had read a review from another lady who said it was 46 pounds and I knew that would be too much for me to start with, so thanks again.

  • @pugpom My 70 year old mother in law works out on it...I don't see you having any problems.

  • Can you tell me what is the least amount of weight that can be used. I am not strong and just starting out.

  • @pugpom 10 pounds

  • Hey Glock, i ordered mine about 4 days ago cant wait to use it, looks like it was a pretty good buy especially for $277 =D. I think we should take some before and after pictures and compete

  • that is great to hear. I hope you get a lot of use out of it. :-)

  • Great video! I just ordered one

  • good for you. I hope you get a lot of use out of it. I slowed down because I'm so busy with Youtube and responding to viewers. But when I was working out with it regularly it was nice. I actually got some muscle mass and I felt better. I'll have to get back into it. :-)

  • thanks so much this video was a big help! great job!

  • your welcome.

  • thanks alot i just got one and wasnt to sure about all those workouts i could do so thank you very much

  • you put pictures up at walmart .c om too! lol.

  • :-D

  • The Glock Gym. LOL

  • LOL

  • It comes with about 270lbs of weights. I think you can add more but not sure where you would order it. Perhaps from Gold's Gym.

  • Thanks Glock, I never new you can do this much workouts on it. Wow, I sure will get one. Also it looks pretty smooth to me, not perfect but it's fine.

  • yep. I think you will like it.

  • Lift.

  • hahaha jackie chan..in progress

  • Nice one glock. I may get something like this myself when I move to a bigger place. I had something that was a bit cheaper in 1994 - it was OK, but didn't feel very elastic compared to the ones at the gym. Looks like things have moved on in the last 15 years.

  • Thanks. Its not as smooth as the ones you will find at the gym but it will give you a good work out. I like it.

  • great vid glock i need to get a indoor work out gym

  • This is a good one for the right price. Just make sure you put it together right and it will work okay.

  • Yeah Glock get ripped!

  • haha, long ways to go for that. But I'll try.

  • thanks

  • Great way to help and educate gamers and tech heads the importance and ease is it to get some physical activity indoors.

  • LOL thanks.
