  • John Baird is a HOT HEAD! He needs some anger management . John Bairds view i am boss , i am king , i am it so fuck all of u who say other wise. lol

  • GO DAVID!

  • Thumbs up if you agree that mikefastener is a master-baiting waste of time for Youtube posters....and that his posts are a promotion of ignorance and disrespect for the diversity of opinions of the good people on Youtube.

  • @paulfornasier Everyone...you should all listen to pauly-boy. After all he once told me he was, "intellgent".

    lolol

  • @100mrpissedoff he was a zoologist not a geologist.

  • @VeryHugeAss and for someone who has a "how to cheat on a science test" video on their channel i cant say you are very bright on the sciences yourself. get an HONEST education or stfu

  • @100mrpissedoff Suzuki is not a scientist, he's a bullshit artist.

  • @VeryHugeAss yes he is dude...he is a scientist stop saying bullshit

  • @morvarid69 David Suzuki is a Zoologist. His Phd thesis was in the study of fruit flies. He has no idea about geology, geomorphology etc. He is a bullshitter.

  • @VeryHugeAss dude he was a professor of Genetics for more than 30 years!! have you ever taken fucking genetics? its a fucking impossible and complicated discipline and last time i checked genetics is crucial to science. You cant get into med school without genetics credits. He has also been a guest lecturer at John Hopkins University. he also has 25 Honorary degrees from universities around the world. WTF DOES BAIRD HAVE? WHAT? NOT EVEN 10% OF THIS? Get your facts straight buddy

  • @morvarid69 who gives a shit? The fact is that everything that Suzuki says about global warming is a lie. There is no scientific evidence to buttress anything that he says. Suzuki is just a spokesman for the scientific community, he is not that good of a scientist. He has an endearing personality so he is good for tv ratings.

  • @VeryHugeAss actually he is a advocate for climate change, his advocacy for global warming is based on his ongoing research to prove it he never claimed he has proven global warming. climate change is the issue while global warming is just a theory like string theory (not related just an example) to explain climate change in regards to the human impact on climate change....otherwise climate change exists regardless of humans. Trying to prove something does not take away from his credibility

  • @VeryHugeAss take that huge stick out of your huge ass and have some respect :))

  • David Suzuki is an arsehole.

  • david suzuki is an asswipe and a hater

  • Check out the "puppet vote mob" @ youtube.com/watch?v=wqNpW5oRjUQ or learn more about our flash mobs at air-medics.ca/blog/ or Air Advocates facebook group

We are organizing flash mobs too. To bring attention to a much need topic like the environment. When are politicians going to discuss current events?

  • To think he was the environment minister... ho shitcakes.

  • How can a premier say its "not tough enough" when they can always make it tougher - illogical

  • @guystoners Not illogical... he wants the "playing field" to be level across Canada and only the Feds can help with that... try getting all of the Premiers to agree to legislation to make it happen (I'm lookin at YOU, Alberta)

  • The one thing that really bugs me about this is the fact that the premier of Ontario is not David McGuinty, but in fact Dalton McGuinty.

  • "Baird claims his government is now the toughest in the world on the environment." - I don't think that means what you thought it did, but that's entirely accurate. It's hard to think of a government that makes things tougher on the environment.

  • No what's a shame Mr. Suzuki, his you Mr. Suzuki and your Global Governance Green agenda that spell out billion of dollars a years in additional taxes. How much of that are you going to pocket Mr. lie to your face Suzuki you are a Canadian disgrace

  • @Canuckism101 You're an idiot!

  • @sneakywan hey, hey old on there buddy, wait t'ill I upload my new video on Canada and Global warming,

then you can start your childish name calling. I'm making a note to make sure to leave you a message on your channel once it's up. See you in the funny papers dick, that his your name right?

  • We know who are acting like viruses.

  • how could ctv misspell Dalton McGuinty's name.

  • This video is in my favorites. According to youtube, because I favourited it, I was reccomended a Justin Bieber video. What the hell?

  • @TheMaskedDonut They would rather you be distracted, see the tactics? You comming here does not profit them. Money money money, that's all these companies care for. Youtube for one really needs to, because they have accumulated millions of debt. What a mess this money system causes. It causes them to find tactics which most would disaprove. Being recommended Justin Beiber after this is just deceptive on youtubes behalf, they should be called out for this particularly.

  • @TheMaskedDonut They would really like you to be distracted from people like me, they want to cancel out the people that are the biggest threat first, make them think they are having an impact. The wonders that can be done when in control of youtube, just imagine. Don't believe for one second this system is perfect either, far from it.

  • good clip, but shitty editing.

  • It's a sham. Promote him!

  • I would call Baird a pig but thats giving pigs a bad name,

  • Well I'd like to set some of my own targets. How about Canadians promise to pay all their back taxes to Ottawa by 2050. I think it's something everyone could be content with.

  • The prairies seem to be more susceptible to floods lately...'environmental minister'.

  • How many deep oil drills are along the coasts of Canada...'environment minister'.

  • Pay close attention to them both

    My children.

  • If John Baird actually said that his government "is the toughest on the environment', he is absolutely correct.

The Hapercons are not only tough on the environment, they are a downright environmental catasrophe.

  • @grampacanuck LOL, well said, I hope everyone understands your comment correctly

  • @grampacanuck Look who elected this fool.. Stupid Canadians.. Look who elected G. Bush, Stupid Americans.

  • Baird is a national disgrace. Here that sound? Its the collective spinning turbines of Progressive Conservatives rolling in their graves. And hang on, isn't it Dalton not David as the head of Ontario? Bad CTV, bad!

  • @moviecodswallop I agree, aside from the errors by media, we still get so see David take on John Baird and litterally put him in his place. David knows what's going on.. It's HIpocratics, making sweet words to the public while satisfying the big business. Giving the people false hope. Support means money, most politicians are in for the same reasons, to sway the public, get in, make big and become a lame duck. Money does this, the misuse of it and the lack of it!

  • Comment removed

  • The country sure isn't improving with you playing ostrich and making excuses. All this "I have personal issues to deal with, and with all my school work I simply don't have time to debate." LAME EXCUSES!

All you needed to do is take a long look at your surroundings and find out what's going on. Yet just like a good little Liberal, you chose to go without logic or reason, and call anyone challenging you names.

Canada won't improve this way, and we don't need this type of attitude.

  • You were NEVER critical to begin with. Just look at you in the GS argument. You just bought into Dion's plan and never even bothered to question him. Yet the second I mentioned Saskatchewan, you were jumping up and down hollering bias and unreliable source.

Now you start waving the righteous finger by saying you're "open to a critical and strong debate to further democracy" even though you're playing ostrich by digging your head in the sand? I'll believe you when you take action first!

  • Policy debate? Strange, because that's what I've been waiting for for over 6 months now. But still nothing from your side. Care to explain?

You ARE full of Liberal propaganda. In GS, I showed you at least 3 examples, 2 of which came from provinces with Liberal premiers, but yet you either claimed they were biased, or you refused to address them. So if anything, a debate with you ISN'T PRODUCTIVE AT ALL!

You're the unproductive one wasting people's time. You're nothing but a hypocrite!

  • This party has no clear vision for anything. Green Shift was a bust, no agenda on health care, muddy on taxes, nothing on democratic reform, on-again off-again policies on crime.

Dion is NOT a leader with integrity and a vision for success, because his department got us into Adscam. He also championed Kyoto but then did nothing, even as Canada left the red. How can anyone take this guy seriously?

Vote Liberal in 2008 and beyond? I'll believe it when I see their record improve.

  • Chretien degraded PMO with Adscam, Shawinigate, the pepper spray incident (and joked about it by saying pepper is good on steak). Even today we're picking up the pieces, as the Liberal QUebec wing president just got charged of fraud.

Paul Martin made Adscam worse by denying it, then covering it up. He also openly bribed Belinda across the floor, on the eve of a confidence vote, even before the FLASE Cadman accusations appeared.

You should really think before you talk, Liberal mouthpiece!

  • No PM degraded PMO more than Liberal ones. Trudeau flipped the bird at people in the west, and refused to apologize for harassment. This is all the while Liberals are telling Baird to apologize for dropping the F-bomb. Hypocrisy right there.

Trudeau also destroyed intergovernmental affairs with the Constitution, patriating it without QC. He also rolled out the tanks and disregarded all human rights, even as he claims to be a libertarian. Hypocrisy again!

  • McGuinty also raised several taxes even as Jim Flaherty cut them. McGuinty also refused to act on shutting down coal-fired power plants even though he promised that years ago. McGuinty is now involved in a spending scandal regarding Ontario's EHealth.

I'm not from Ontario but I think those actions speak for themselves. Focus on policy? What policy? When it comes to getting things done, McGunity is just as bad (if not worst) than Dion.

  • How much grant money does David Suzuki get? See Bob Carter on youtube for some real science. H20 vapor is a much more abundant greenhouse gas accounting 80 percent; CO2 is only .03 percent. Most CO2 is produced via natural processes not man made and is washed out by water. See any science text.

  • Thank merciful god, the discussion seems to be dead. I truly apologize to rlynn565 for all the e-mails he must have got when people commented on his video. I did more then my fair share here, and I'm truly sorry. Not to back from my opinions or anything, but I learned something important: You can't change someone's mind on a forum. It's impossible. The nature of a forum is to express an opinion and be completely protected from responses through anonmytity. Once more, I apologize.

  • Holy Shit! David Suzuki vs John Baird!

That's like Ghandi coming down on Sadaam Hussein for being a bad guy. I would hate to have been John during the confrontation!

  • Why did Mr. Paul Martin NOT have a Personal Assistant on his staff paid for with the public purse and why was it he could keep the books in the black WITH OUT record oil revenue? Hmmmmmm.......Just wondering....

  • Actually, the way Martin planned his tax schemes and paid to foreign flagged countries to avoid Cdn taxes--I'm sure that sucked more out of the Cdn tax base than one little personal assistant....right or wrong?

  • In wake of $50 a barrel oil the Oil Giants have delayed, stopped and shelved their mega projects due to lack of revenue. Mr. Harper still is whistling about a surplus this year, give it two weeks lol. Of course he has the luxury of reaching into our childrens pockets by running a Deficit to finance his lies and his made in Canada debt wher the Corporate world does not. I always thought he was a robot, now I wonder which planet he came from.lol

  • Wow! Speaking as someone who supported Dion's Tax Shaft--you MUST be feeling a little sheepish right now. Both Rae and Iggy are now admitting how crazy this plan was! (Even though they supported it.) Real hypocrites those lie-beral are...who could disagree?

  • @Gillhoolee @Gillhoolee After the total lie-beral melt down on May 2nd--I was told you went into hiding in Osama bin Laden’s compound. You may wish to stay there 10 years as well! That is how long it will take for the lib-erals to come out of the wilderness.

    Any apologies, my old friend?

  • @mikefastenerApologize?, For what, the fact nice guys finish last, or the increase ofCO2 emmisions under this Gov't? Remember, even Bush won a 2nd term, largely due to the clusterf**k he created in his1st, & the public's reluctance to switch 'horses' mid stream.

Lets both watch Harper try & run Gov't from HIS 'secret compound' as his promises implode.

Hewill be back 'cap in hand' to screw we the middle class yet again, having pilfered their 'financial cubbord'

  • @Gillhoolee Increase in CO2 emissions? Like the CO2 emission increase under Chretien? (Greater than the US)!

You seem quite angry that Mr. Harper has put...what?....Chretien, Martin, Dion and now Iffy into the garbage cans of Canadian politics.

Well, as your hero, Paul Martin said on his loss to Mr. Harper, "the Canadian voter is never wrong".

Since the voters elected Mr. Harper, I guess that, in turn, makes you wrong!

    Logical?

  • @mikefastener Yeah Mikey, you & Harper are sooo clever & right 100% of the time,

    - Maybe you too should jump on a bus to celebrate your 'rightyness' & take a tour of an open pit ASBESTOS mine in La Belle Province?

P.S. Chuck Strall called & said he can't make it.

    have a Great day!

  • @Gillhoolee Oh Gilly, no one is right 100% of the time. I've made terrible mistakes in my life--one time, I even voted liberal!

Are you talking about the open pit ASBESTOS mine that Chretien refused to act on? (In spite of 3 majority gov't.)

Yes, I agree with you that the lie-berals have no shame!

BTW....appreciate you making fun of someone with a potentially terminal disease. Where is your so-called liberal values?

BTW2...I guess we should stop uranium mining as well?

    Let me know.

  • @mikefastener BTW,My 'Liberal Values'A1,& are based in fact. I invoked the name of Chuck Stral to give the 'terminal desesase Mr. Harper whole heartily exports a face.

Mr. Stral who has traced his sickness to exposure to asbestos has also spoken out publically against Harper's 'Gov't' on the Asbestos issue & just because the persons who will next contract the desese are in another Country & are faceless, nameless & largely ignorant, it doesn't absolve Harper of his duty to protect.

  • @Gillhoolee Oh Gilly, you are so easy to defeat in a debate. (The usual.)

So, are you saying you are disgusted with Chretien who did not stop asbestos exports even though he had 3 majority governments?

With Mr. Harper's majority only 2 months old, we will have to see what he does.

    Awaiting your answer about Chretien....

(Keep watching folks....Gilly will play true to form and not answer.)

    Gilly, prove me wrong.

  • How typical of a Con to sight decades old policy as reason for their own inability to act to day, be it on asbestos or climate change.(lofl)

How soon they forget how Harper's lack of a Majority was blamed so often for inaction.

Now before you sight another red herring be advised the new mandate was only to catogorize 'Asbestos' as the hazordus material in has become known to be- a fact you likely deliberately overlooked in your zeal to gloat on your self professed 'ability to debate' LOFL!.

  • It must really suck to have to deliver a Throne s peach that highlights the fact that your Gov't has squandered the peoples security by eroding the tax base to allow Corporate entities even more profit. You swore you could protect the Cdn. Public but failed.

It must suck to say" Yes, I was there & not only did I do nothing, I aided and abetted in the process".

Mr. Harper enjoy turning on your own ideology as you become a 'progressive' out of necessity & not your own wisdom. We will!

  • Actually, it must suck to say, "yes, I stole your money; however, due to my entitlement beliefs, I won't pay it back." Yes, those lie-berals are disgusting...I do agree with you!

  • He's a wizard...

Flaherty: "Nothing could be further from the truth. Doing nothing in government is actually one of the most complex undertakings imaginable. Doing nothing -- of course we prefer to say "getting out of the way" -- and at the same time getting kudos for good results is a tricky business. In fact, it's nothing short of magic."

    LOFL!

  • Actually, "nothing short of magic" is how the lie-berals made $40million disappear! When do you think they will pay it back? Just wondering...

  • I see John Baird has been shuffled to Transport-at a time when our cities need substantial infrastructure work.

Mr. Baird's experience ?..... Well he interfere in the light rail project in his hometown of Ottawa, delaying the project & leaving the city's taxpayers on the hook for a quarter billion dollar lawsuit.

Mr. Harper now wants Mr. Baird to bring this 'wrecking ball approach' to all of Canada's transportation system. Gotta make up for the billions already squandered some how.

  • Is that somewhat similar to the $2B gun registry? The $1B HRDC scandal. The $500M cancelling helocopter bungle? The sponsorship corruption? Sorry, could go on and on but running out of space. Bottom line, Cdns did not want the old lie-beral ways--they want someone to Stand up for Canada! (I'm sure Mr. Baird will do very well in his new post.)

  • Appears no one wants their name associated with the leadership of a corrupt party! With Manley, Tobin, McKenna, etc, etc saying, "no" we've got Iggy (American wantabe), Rae ($12billion dollar man) and LeBlanc (honest, sincere, cares about Canada more than himself or the lie-beral party--obviously, he'll never fit in!!!)

I say keep Dion in--what do you think???

  • Not up to speed as I'm back from Mexico. It's still early, however even with the same people running it isn't the same race as Canadians will have altered their views as will the contenders in the race.

If "iggy' is an 'American wannabe', what does that make Harper? I think Rae is a hell of a lot more mature than when he ran Ontario and spent like a NEW Conservative. It's now looking like we are high and dry and now in debt.

  • Iggy vs Harper regarding Americian wannabe...hummm...tell me during what period of time, Harper spend 20 years working in the US. (Very anxious for that answer.) Rae is more mature? Sadly, he confusion of which party to belong to really discounts that comment. "now in debt"...wow, $40 million that the lie-berals owe Cdns would really help..When did you say that would be paid back?

  • I guess your little quip makes him no less Canadian than Celine Dion, Jim Carry or Mike Myers?lol

As for Mr.Rae and Confusion- that's very rich coming from a person that supports a man who has changed or discarded political parties and promises like his shirts.(enough C.R.A.P.eh!)lol About the 40 million no doubt spent in Quebec with poor book keeping as referenced by the Auditor General-I know the Tories are cash strapped but they should look to other ways to fulfill their broken promises.

  • Uhhhh...always so confusing, lie-beral answers! Let's see--Iggy being out of the country 20+ yrs means he is out of touch with the it politically (I'd say the same of Jim, Mike and Dion (both Celine and Stephane-lolol--little joke there). Regarding Rae, Mr. $12billion man only came into the lie-berals when he saw a chance to become leader--real sincerity there, my friend! Finally, I don't care what the Tories want, I, as a taxpayer, want my money repaid by the lie-berals who stole it! Simple?

  • I suppose Mr. Harper is in touch having held office for several years, yet can't gain the confidence of a majority of Canadians. I don't care that Iggy spent time in the US,any more than I care Obama spent time in the Philippines, if anything it's an asset. With his performance in the House I see why you would use any feeble excuse to dump on him. It's not his time away, but what he did with it that is a threat., He became articulate, well rounded with vision, passion & insight.

    Shame on him!

  • Did you demand Martin resign when he could not get the confidence of Cdns? lol

Iggy has choosen to be out of the country for yrs as an adult (a little different than Obama--right?) Since lie-berals always like to protray the US as the great devil--are you saying there is something we (and, therefore Iggy) could learn from the US and bring to Canada??? Oh, god, this does get goooood!

What, Mr. Lie-beral Supporter, should Iggy implement in Canada that he learned in the US?

    This is GREAT!!!

  • From what I gather,"Mr Economist" Harper squeaked through his academics, as for Iggy I don't know. I do know exposure to the best educational facilities in North America is no guarantee,(look at Bush)but it is what the individual does with it. From what I have seen of Iggy he has learned a great deal and as important he can communicate it effectively as can Mr. Rae. How's that Deficit going?

  • Didn't answer the question of what Iggy should bring to Canada (your embarassment of being a lie-beral supporter shows through!). Harper was on Reach for the Top-his academics are without question! What has Iggy learned in the US--why won't you answer? Getting a little sheepish again, my friend??? lolol

  • What Iggy has learned is evident whenever he speaks. Where he learned it is of little consequence to me,only you???? The same can be said of Mr. Rae,life being a process he has evolved and is no longer a supporter of the NDP. I guess Mr. Harper is not as big a fan of a FREE MARKET as he was a few months ago, but then I can only go by what he has said recently, which really means nothing. Cdn's were willing elect Obama given a chance,so flog that dead horse all you wish to your party's demise.

  • Could not answer could you? So Iggy is bringing his American experience to Canada; yet, you won't say what that is! Shameful.

Interesting how Canada was 2 yrs ahead of the US. Obama said, "Change"--the US chose change. Canada chose change a full 2 yrs ahead of the US when they threw the corruption boys out. Makes one proud, doesn't it?

  • I'm happy you favour change cause I see more within the next 12 months...keep your'running shoes' close by.

  • I am indeed hoping the lie-berals change! (They have to learn that Cdn's spanked them!) Agreed?

  • A trade court has found in favour of the Cdn. Wheat Board in a longstanding dispute with the U.S. over tariffs.

The U.S. Court of International Trade has ordered the U.S. Commerce Department to return duties it collected on Canadian hard red spring wheat between August 2003 and February 2006.

There was a 14 per cent tariff charged on wheat going to the U.S,a duty found to be unfair in an earlier ruling.

Mr. Harper-Give them $1 Billion ,destroy the Board, so each farmer can fight on his own!

  • Poor Silly, Gilly--what about "Choice" do you ot understand? Farmers are DEMANDING choice! Not being a little hypocritical here are you? (Sorry, should have said a little lie-beral here--same thing.)

  • Yes Harper will like to give his template a go at Health Care as well. he is allowing private clinics to erode our system on purpose, driving our Health Care system into the ground through neglect.

I'm sure he thinks his mandate is strong enough to do so- after all ,Canadians practically asked him too having voted him into a minority.surely you agree?

  • Interesting post--and, unlike you, I will respond to it! "private clinics"..I just need clarification..are these like the ones Paul Martin went to or the one Jack Layton went to?...let me know.

A rejuvenated and enhanced mandate-yes, I agree Cdns want Harper to led and undo lie-beral silliness. So yes, I whole heartedly agree and shout at the top of my lungs (like most Cdns, "Stand up for Canada!!!" (Wow, makes one so proud.)

  • hmmmm,I see another loose "Cannon" in Foreign Affairs.

I guess Canada still has one eye that isn't black.Wait and see...

  • But, you gotta admit...Cdn's determined it was better to trust the Conservatives rather than the lie-berals !!!

Kindn'a makes your arguements look Silly, doesn't it???

    lolol

  • I wouldn't put too much stock into an election Canadians didn't want but had shoved down their throats.

Nine months can make a huge difference in what Canadians can 'determine'- just ask Joe Clark. Harper played his hand but didn't recieve the outcome he had hoped. I'm sure he will ignore that small detail and try to carry on in his same manor to the determent of or political system. It wouldn't surprise me that he sees his minority as a mandate to reform the Senate- he is that boneheaded.

  • If you feel that Cdn's thought that Harper shoved the election down their throats--then, Wow! Picked up 20 seats--he is good!

Your words, "I'm sure","It wouldn't surprise me", etc. don't mean much do they? After all, you predicted Dion and his lie-berals would win! You must admit, I have more political insight than you since I was right in the election call. Agreed?

"boneheaded"!! oh Silly, Gilly! You supported someone who lost the lie-berals 20 seats..should you look in a mirror? lolol

  • What part of minority before and minority after do you not understand. Yes he gained some seats but he was not even defeated in the House of Commons by anyone- he drummed up an excuse to call an election seeeing private poll results in his favour. Surely you see that? Not just that , through his own hands he negated the advantage he had, sure the Liberals spent $40 million in Quebec carelessly but it now looks like Harper spent $700 millio. lol

  • What part of being, "Prime Minister" do you not understand? Picking up 20 seats is an amazing accomplishment in light of Dion's lies during the campaign. Mr. Harper spend $300million to get rid of the Green Shaft--a bargain compared to what it would have done to the Cdn economy. The lie-beralz stole $40million--when do YOU think they will pay it back? Just wondering.....

  • I'm saying Mr. Harper is carrying 'dysfunction' around with him and it has just cost us $350 million. I'm saying both Harper & Flaherety know and have known that we are in deficit and are trying creative accounting to cover their lie. That's what I;m saying.

  • $350million was cheap if it saved Cdn's from the Green Shaft plan of Dion! (No lie-beral will suggest it again.)

Harper & Flaherety learned creative accounting from Martin and the corruption boys...only we know the envelopes full of taxpayer money are not being passed to fellow lie-berals in dark restaurants!

Everyone has to agree this is a far better situation. Right?

  • Dark Restaurants? envelopes? I didn't see any Liberals standing behind Harper or Flaherty during their "learning process".

I have seen Brian Mulroney but he likes to eat in his hotel room and nibble Swiss chocolate, before passing envelopes of cash or so we are told. You do remember him don't you?

  • His Cabinet was almost as FAT as Harper's oink!oink!,except he had many more seats. Just what is prudence, another double speak lie from tory lips like 'being in the black' Why doesn't he just but his entire government in Cabinet & swear them all to secrecy as that is his goal?

Give every one a $75,000 dollar raise Mr. thrifty, we're paying for it.

  • Takes a lot of talent and money to wipe the lie-beral corruption out of gov't. Money well spend as Cdn's agreed!

    (Any more education required?)

  • Oh, Gilly (rhymes so well with, "Silly")!!!

Lie-berals passed the envelopes...don't you remember a certain inquiry? (Think hard!)lolol

I do remember Brian; however, Mr. Silly, that was not my money (taxpayer money) like the lie-beral stole ($40million I seem to remember).

Ready to apologize? (Either that or tell me when the lie-berals will pay back that money.)

I hope you have your face egg wiping cloth handy!!! lololol

  • Who 'won' the election? The inside track & back to back minorities, big woop!

I've stated early on that if he failed to obtain a majority it would be considered a loss for him- a loss with a big tab. He is still standing on a trap door.

I see a rough road for him as he will make the wrong assumptions from his "big win",as most Conservatives seem to do,present company included. One day soon people will realize that Mr. Harper is not holding up the sky despite what he has been telling us.

  • Again, Gilly, you have tripped! So, let me see...to quote you, Harper had to win a majority or it was a loss--if Dion won a majority, in was a win. Oh my, oh my....so the bar is set lower for the lie-berals? lolol

Thanks for the endorsement of Conservatives being at a higher level!!! lolol

    (This is rich!)

And, oh to quote, " see a rough road for him " you also saw a win for the lie-berals and Dion....gotta admit, your foresight isn't too good, isn't it? lolol

  • It's as good as Harpers bookkeeping. He should be on the Food Network with the amount of 'cooking' he and Flaherty are now doing.

  • Are you saying, "Shame, Cdn's didn't even invite the lie-berals into the kitchen!"

  • That was then..

CEP News) Ottawa - Prime Minister Stephen Harper says a Conservative government in Canada will never allow the federal finances to slide into deficit.

    This is now..

Stephen Harper refused Friday to rule out the possibility of a deficit next year despite his promise during the election campaign that he would not allow one if re-elected. While the Prime Minister said he intends to maintain a balanced budget this year, he did not say the same for 2009-10. "silent running"my ass!

  • Very similar to, "The Liberal Party is not corrupt!"---looks like an inquiry proved him wrong! Agreed?

Oh, "We will tear up the FTA, we will eliminate the GST, end to Child Proverty by 2000, I will never play golf with a US President, etc., etc.,...god...you must feel disgusted talking about the lie-berals broken promises, Mr. Silent Running! lolol

  • Oh, finally We Agree & I refuse to argue. They are very similar, theNEW Conservative Party and the OLD Liberal Party. Well done- a break through of sorts! May I ask when will your Inquiry into current Conservative wrong doing be called by Mr Harper the way Mr. Martin did?

Gotta purge the evil do'ers! lol How silly of me-you can't comment as there are several cases now before the court.Duh! Well we agree that they are indeed corrupt after 2 years in office.

Thank you for saying as much.

    lol

  • Uhhhhh...when did the OLD lie-beral party disappear? There is no OLD lie-beral party, just an attempt by lie-beral supporters ashamed of their past support (they should be) trying to disassociate themselves. The corruption boys have not changed! Good try though!

  • Well the results in Quebec say differently, so what you and I think is really a sidebar to the fact that the ad scam is now old hat, and has run it's course. The Liberal party is on the mend & is favoured/trusted more than Mr. Harper- that says a lot.

Media is gearing up 'transparency and accountability' with Donna Cadman, deficits and PO'ed Primers- despite Mr Flaherty's lie of having ended the "infighting" with the provinces.lol

  • My goodness. Lie-beral arguements are like pretzels, twisted and twisted. They become so confusing, no one can follow them!

Why pick Quebec as some benchmark to ad scam. The entire country was utterly disgusted when they found out about the corruption the entitled lie-berals were into.

That's is why the lie-beral party was again spanked on election day (worse showing since Confederation) because Cdn's are convinced the lie-berals are still corrupt. How else to explain the poor results?

  • Another broken promise?....

Asked about the possibility of a deficit, he told CBC News: "We will see. I would not categorically rule out a deficit," adding that with five months remaining in the fiscal year, the government will be watching the situation closely.

& in only TWO DAYS after the election the sputtering began!!!lol

  • In less than 2 minutes, Dion went from being the possible best PM ever, to someone who can't even run the lie-beral party! God, these lie-beral supporters are shameful! Who could argue?

  • No, not only would I not agree with you , I agree with Mr. Dion.

  • I'm glad you agree with Mr. Dion--I assume you want him to continue as leader of the lie-beral party and take that party into the next election....right?

  • Why would you make such an assumtion given the fact that Mr. Dion has decided to step down?

Is making incorrect assumptions part of the process in becoming a Conservative?

  • Interesting isn't it? You fully supported Dion as PM; but, you told me you did not support him to carry on as leader of the lie-beral party!

Got your priorities a little upside, my friend.

    Please, "Stand up for Canada!!!"

Feels good to say it, doesn't it?

  • Mr. Dion is quit capable as a leader but he even realizes that Mr. Harper bank rolled an alter ego that is out there and exists in the public perception, right or wrong. He made mistakes in that he failed to realize the extent that the Conservative Party would go to destroy his image before he even had one. This is not a flaw in his character and he maintains a level of integrity that Mr. Harper will never have with the Canadian public.

  • While Liberals ponder who will lead them perhaps the Tories should be doing likewise as Mr. Harper doesn't exactly groom successors now does he?lol- hardly standing up for Canada now is he?

  • Lie-berals have no problem finding corrupt leaders....it goes with the culture! Agreed?

  • Are you saying Mr. Dion is corrupt? If so what would that make Mr. Harper?

  • Dion was in cabinet as part of the corruption boy group. "What would that make Mr. Harper?"--glad you asked--the best PM Canada has ever had and Canada's best hope for a bright and properous future!

  • But, you haven't answered the question (for the 4th time)...did you want Dion to stay on?

    Please, yes or no!

  • My position has always been clear and has been stated many times. It was that having won the leadership Mr. Dion deservedly received my support for the subsequent election, win lose or draw. Nothing remains the same afterward, not for Liberals or Conservatives as both should be scouting new leaders about now. After all your man has failed to win the trust of Canada with the PMO at his disposal & two years of trying-not exactly a ringing endorsement now is it?

  • Hmmmmm....maybe you don't understand (so I'll explain). Worse performance since Confederation = Dion = lie-berals = failure = tossed out by a hypocritical party.

Winning 20 additional seats in an election = success = grateful Cdn's and Conservatives asking Mr. Harper to please led us.

Could it be any clearer? (I'm always glad to help you understand.)

    (Question: Who won the election?

    Answer: Mr. Harper and Cdns)

    Stand up for Canada!!!

  • Another smackdown for you Gilly!!! To quote your posting, "not exactly a ringing endorsement now is it?" referring to Mr. Harper. You have got to agree the lie-berals and Mr. Dion got no endorsement from Cdns whatsoever!

Again, I can't be this good at debating!!!

  • How many others received Conservative mailings featuring a mock ballot with the names of the party leaders other than me me?

This was electoral material that should NOT be paid for by Canadian taxpayers.

This is how Mr. Harper circumvents the LAW, having been found in VIOLATION of the Election Act once before.

He has no respect for fairness and is happy to off load his party's debt onto Canadian taxpayers.

  • Okay, okay--your practiced lie-beral non-answering tactics have worked--I won't ask again on this subject. (No wonder Cdns threw them out!)

So, regardless of your post--you got to admit, my guy won!!!! (And, therefore, Cdns won!!!)

  • Poor. poor Gilly, gone silent running after the embarassment of the lie-beral election results. Ready to apologize for your silliness? Just wondering....

  • Our Finance Minister is delusional...

With a mere $1.2 billion surplus this year to date, and a deficit in August alone of $1,7 billion, we will be in deficit by year end.

...That is if he doesn't try and use the one time WINDFALL of wireless spectrum sales of $4 billion dollars to try and cover his piss poor projections, and his 'Crack Habit' spending since taking office.

We know hey can't be fair & it's plain to anyone they can't be honest either.

    * mikefastener has not approved this msg.

  • I think a better posting would be...

*Gillhoolee refuses to answer questions regarding lie-beral legacy....

So simple,,,yet so difficult for you!

    Why is that?

    Just wondering....

  • It looks like we are beginning to see the result of 'sound' Harper economics. The economics that allow him to take billions out of the Tar sands with an artificial price hike & drop the GST by two points while our balanced Manufacturing sector is allowed to twist and swing in the wind. Now the oil bubble has burst, the money is gone and we are stuck with no balance in our economy and a PM that doesn't know if his backside is punched or bored.

  • Yes, yes....so very interesting.....but; you agree, Cdns said no to corruption and voted Conservative...adding 20 seats...how could anyone disagree? Heheheh

  • I think the first Act of Parliament should be to repeal Harper's BS fixed election Law as it does nothing but Americanize our system- but then that is what he wants ,surely you can't disagree?he.....he....he...

  • Boy...you sure walked into this one!

Is that the same fixed election law that the lie-berals supported???? (Remember, Harper passed this in a minority gov't.)

Need a rag to wipe that egg off of your face? hehehe

PS...keep the rag handy, you'll say something soon where you'll need it again! double hehehe

  • Also understand, for that very reason, Dion had to resign, though I'm glad he'll stay on till the new guy comes. Whoever he may be [Findly ain't winnin...], I doubt I'll vote for him. Right now, Elizabeth May seems to have what I admired in Dion, putting good policy ahead of appearing to be a leader. Recall the debates? People don't talk about how null and pathetic his arguments were, they talk about how he was calm, and looked prime ministerial. In the meantime, Stephen Harper is just a dick.

  • Oh my, oh my pooooor Donut you sound sooo pathetic!!!! Do you agree you were wrong with Dion? Cdn's overwhelmingly said the lie-berals were fools! (otherwise why were they spanked by Cdns?) Let us know how you feel--of course, once you bottoms are not so sore! lololol

  • I freely admit, I'm as politically cynical as they come, and I felt for once perhaps Dion was different. I actually believed he had sound policies and was more then intelligent for the job. Hell, all he's ever critiqued for is lack of leadership [On which I ask hoping for a wider discussion: What exactly is leadership and how does Stephen Harper have it?]. I assure you, he was not rejected by Candians because of the Carbon tax. It was that Canadians didn't seem interested in what he had to say.

  • Obviously, since Dion is such a descent guy, we must reject the lie-berals for their disgusting treatment of him....there is no other choice....are you willing to join me in shouting out our mutual disgust of lie-berals?....just wondering...

  • It is Halarious you would even try and make the comparison between what Mr. Chretien did and Mr, Harper did.

    1. the glaring difference you choose to ignore is that He didn't pass a LAW & then side step it when the odds favoured him.

    2. He did have a Majority and went to a Majority putting him in an entirely different situation and a league Mr. Harper will never see having had every opportunity and still managing to step on his own dick, Hmm, let's see..

  • ,the incumbent, a hot economy, handed a double digit surplus & a decade of balanced books. Stable banking despite his yammering for deregulation, a war but not on the scale he wanted, no accountability on his spending, glossed over with oil revenue,a two year head start on election spending,Knowing when he would call it, A brimming war chest,an opposition in transition,Sovereignty in decline, using the Court system to hide his skeletons, some one to 'dress him, someone to 'donate' his speeches..

  • Gilly, everyone reading this posting should know that rather than responding to me directly (which would send an auto. e-mail alerting me to repond--you choose to post a supposed response--hopeing I would not check this site)....please don't be such a coward! ie. don't be such a lie-beral!!!!

  • .... perhaps you have contracted 'control freakitus' from one of the undesirables you hang with?

There is nothing in my general post that is in response to you. You must remember as Governing Party, you SERVE the people, they don't serve you. If you choose to live 'under the bridge like an ugly troll' then so be it- happy hunting! but don't become too lax and assume your in control as you could soon find yourself in the'drink',lol. Feel free to tell your friends like wise.

  • Uhhhhhhh, yes, very interesting--thanks for sharing!? but you did not answer the question. Are you disgusted that the lie-berals helped pass a fixed election date law? Anxiously awaiting your response....

  • I'm disgusted that a fixed election law could be contorted (by its originator no less) into the exact opposite of what it was intended for. It kind of makes everyone wonder with such fore sight where will" A nation within a nation" end up? We will see more of this crap if Harper gets to re vamp the Senate without Constitutional change. More at what he is good at- Lip Service.

  • Gilly, you have not answered my question! Are you angry at the lie-berals for letting this fixed election law pass? A simple "yes" or "no" will work!

  • ALL ABOARD!...the Flip Flop Train is pulling out!...In his last budget in Feb. the minister projected a $2.3-billion surplus this fiscal year and a $1.3-billion surplus in 2009-2010.

A Merrill Lynch economist and TD Bank chief economist both analyzed the changed economic outlook and predict the federal government is headed for a $10-billion deficit in 2009-10. As well, both project deficits several years down the road, which would cause considerable political problems for the Harper government.

  • No flip-flop train would be complete without you, Gilly!!! Do you support Dion staying on as lie-beral leader or not? lololololol

(My guy did win the election, am I right? or Right?....lolol)

  • Your Guy didn't just win it. He called it and gave himself a head start buy launching a smear campaign months in advance. I guess 'insider information' paid off? How telling Harper has fabricated a Fixed Election Law that ranks right up there with his idol ,Diefenbaker's Bill of Rights-neither are worth the paper they were written on.

  • Interesting...however; you seem to not want to answer my question. What is the problem, hidden lie-beral agenda? lolol

Have you asked Dion to stay on as lie-beral leader? (You were so full of praise of him last week--you must want him to stay on!) Oh god, this is funnnnnny!

  • How would I ask Mr. Dion to stay? I'm not a member of the Liberal Party. He deserved and got party support now we must retool for whatever reason and begin to fight the next battle as the 'war' is far from over. I respect Mr. Dion but I fear he has contracted a bad case of preston manningitus,by coming into contact with 'undesirables'lol

  • Gilly--you are losing whenever credibility you had!!!lolol

Anyone can ask Dion to stay--send him an email--you don't have to be a member of the lie-beral party. I've asked him to stay. lolol

"must retool for whatever reason"--reason is easy--you not only lost, you got spanked. lolol

Dion, "coming into contact with undersirables"--I agree, he had constant exposure to lie-berals!!! lolol

My god-I simply can't be this GOOD! lolol

  • Your questioning my credibility is laughable. Mr. Dion said the Country didn't want an election-the voting stats support that. It is evident this was an election nobody wanted but Harper and therefore nobody won.

  • Yes, of course, of course...avoid the question. (Little note to Gilly, everyone is noticing and YOU are losing credibility!)

Uhhh...Cdn's always don't want an election...let me know when they last did.

"therefore nobody won"..oh god...you sound like a little petuant child! I'm taking my toys away and won't play anymore! You sound like you former idol (though you won't call him as ask him to stay)...remember, "You think it's easy to make priorities"...lolol (Please quit stamping your feet!)

  • Hmm,A peek in to the Conservative mind set- Cdn's will never want an election, so lets grind Parliament to a halt and force one on them just because inside polls say you should?I get it. All for what? To push the incremental Conservative agenda? Was it worth refueling the separatists ? Was it worth making more people in Canada turn on the Parlimentary system and start looking at other forms o voting? This election was a sham and the light Harper sees at the tunnel's end is indeed a freight train

  • Poor, Gilly, looking more ridiculous with every post! YOU singled out this election as not wanted by Cdns--I pointed out that no elections are--you get angry! Boy Cdn's really let you down in this election...maybe they see the facts where you don't?

Good chance to partially redeem yourself here, my friend. Chreiten called an election 3 yrs into his mandate. Chreiten went from majority to majority, a very truly wasted election. Tell us that you are disgusted with Chreiten's action. (smirk)

  • Every election is different. This entire one was orchestrated by Mr. Harper and he was handed his issue of choice- the economy. To not achieve a majority has to say something, as we now head into a stagnant, perhaps shrinking economy and a likely deficit. So when is thebig flipflop coming or is that to be incremental like the ripping off from Mr.Dions plan on a first Ministers conference asap?

  • If you are talking about Dion's crazy Green Shaft Plan--don't worry, no one will be "ripping" it off soon! lolol

Lie-beral supporters are soooooo funny! They praise Dion to the hilt during the election, saying he can virtually walk on water. Then when he is spanked by the voters in a devestating loss--those same supporters say that Dion wasn't very good at all and, therefore, Harper must be really bad! God--listen to yourselves people--you all sound so very foolish!

  • What's foolish is the fact you fail to realize your Mr. Harper is a fraud, who most likely mislead Parliament and the Canadian people with his FIXED ELECTION GARBAGE. It is evident to me that his his two year smear of Mr. Dion was just another way of skirting election spending rules, once again. People against fixed elections were rightin thinking it may bring on a US style campaign. All politicians will suffer because of Harper not just Mr.Dion. Harper like s Court & will see more of it soon.

  • Just a little bit angry are we? lolol

Well great news...lie-beral supporters went out of their way to describe Dion as decent, intelligent, kind, honest, loyal, etc. and that makes him qualified to be PM. Now that voters spanked him and his fellow candidates, he's not even qualified to lead the lie-beral party!!! My god, what hipocasy of these lie-berals!!! Gilly--why don't you try to explain.....smirk.

  • Again, Gilly....so confusing!

Why didn't Dion fight the fixed election date bill--afterall, Harper only had a minority gov't? Was it another Dion hiding in the closet pleading..."Please don't ask me to set priorities!" However, based on your strong endorsement over the last several months, I've asked Dion to stay as leader.....have you????

  • Mr. Harper will continue to pervert Parliament and he will do the same to the Senate if given the chance.

You have answered your own question, think about it, fight the fixed election bill to the point of what, making it a confidence motion? or having an election on it, again perverted , again there is the dysfunction. Harper a "Parliamentary Pervert"who runs a gov't that try's to kill itself each day- he needs councilling & we need change.

  • How the hell can I answer my own question: have you asked Dion to stay on as lie-beral leader? Gilly, put down the bottle and answer my question! (Unless you are afraid of something.)

PS-we did get change this week--even a stronger mandate for our courageous leader!!! Cdns have spoken!!!! Stand up for Canada! I'm sure you must agreed.

  • Gilly, another thing that many of us don't understand...such a good person should be kept as lie-beral leader--why are lie-berals now shouting for Dion's head? Are lie-berals "two-faced"?--certainly not(?)...lolol.

I personally want Dion to stay on as lie-beral leader and I've sent him several e-mails encouraging him to do so. Gilly, have you sent your's yet?

  • My stand on Dion hasn't changed, he won the leadership and with it party loyalty for an election. He is welcome to fight again in 'the pit" if he thinks he can win. The problem for Dion is that his 'first impression' was created by Harper with a character assassination and therefore it is 'out there' regardless of it being true or not.

  • Now knowing what Harper knew in regard to calling an election it is obvious why he spent so much money upfront ,knowing he would be restricted in spending as soon as he went crying to the G.G. with his BS excuses. My e-mails are going to several people, from Frank McKenna(NB) to Carole Taylor(BC) and several others in between. Too bad Danny Williams is busy, hmmm maybe Brian Toban...lol

  • As always, you didn't answer, silly! Are you encouraging Dion to stay on as lie-beral leader? You said he was great, what has happened--has he lost your support? Are you saying you were WRONG?

  • So Dion was not "strong enough" to overcome the Conservative first impressions? Strong leader you have there...lolol

  • Did you read the headlines on AOL (and very left-wing news service)..."With Dion at the helm for his first election, the Liberals finished with their second worst defeat in history, bleeding votes to the Conservatives on their right and the NDP and Greens on their left.

"This is an epic disaster," said one senior Liberal as the dismal results poured in.

Wow--I don't see how it can be called an eric disaster when all of us agree it was best for Canada!!! Just wondering....
