they severely need a better fighting system. one handed for one, every player is always holding on to the player with one hand (it's hard to fight on skates) and they just swing like madmen with the other. it doesn't need blocking or high and low hits, just swing for the head. they're hockey players not boxers

@Wizards9517 No it isn't. EA was too lazy to update the graphics for all games for Pc after 06, so NHL 06, 07, 08 and 09 for PC and PS2 are all the same games pretty much (except for jerseys, rosters, etc.).

It wasn't until NHL 10 PC was cancelled that EA stopped making hockey games for the PC.

NHL 07 on PSP looks like NHL 05 on GC and NHL 05 on GC looks like all NHL games on PC

I played it on PC. Its a shame that all PC versions of NHL 06 to 09 have the same graphics. But you can feel a better engine each session, so basicaly I now run 09 on full graphics and when I had 08 it was much slower on full graphics

I find that on pc, the controls are SO close together you can barely manage to hit the buttons.

Also you can't re-configure the fighting controls, which sucks!

Ok first off, when you get to the point where teh guy is blocking everything it means you are one hit away from a KO.2ndly no matter how much you hurt him early if he rallies back he can still ko you out even if you havent lost your helmet.When u sense hes 1 hit away throw everything at him.

Even if you give him the low punch, if he doesnt block it,game will automatically make your guy go haymaker to ko him,in other words the low punch can beat him, you dont have to aim for the head in the end.
