Ive been on Methadone Treatment for 2+ years. I have my life back now. I am back into bodybuilding again. I even QUIT cigarettes too! (7 Months ago) I get compliments on my body mass. I am still cursed to see OTHERS steal,die and go to Jail for this Garbage. I was ready to END my life when I finally made it to Methadone. Anytime I get a "flashback" of being sick or think of my past use, I get Very upset! I go into a state of tears and terror. Glad to be alive though! Thanks GOD for Methadone!

they do because they r all similar due to brain chemistry, its been proved that the endocrine system of opiate addicts often change, so when they do cold turkey the misery never stops, permenant lethargy, depression and despair for years and years, permenantly often all so they can say they r clean; give us drugs we want, so long as we pay our way and work who is to say we cant take a tonic that god made and live in bliss without jealous straights imposing their agenda.

Hey man how are ya? I myself struggle with painkiller addiction but have never taken methadone. I am wanting to get off but of course do not want to quit cold turkey. What would be the best way to obtain methadone? I know of a couple of clinics where i live but am unsure of the cheapest way to do it. I have insurance so should i go to a doctor for a prescription or do the clinics usually take insurance? Thanks in advance.
Im with ya buddy, i tried pain killers after a bunch of personal stuff happened in my life. i struggled for over a year and now i dabble with methadone illegaly, but only because it helps me get off of the others. I can control methadone and wein myself off easy with it. I hope everything works out. God bless
methadone is called liquid handcuffs here in the u.k,in my experience methadone is way harder to come off than heroin,i came off on 35mls,no horror story this time,its been 8weeks now and still cant sleep...i can take all the other withdrawls but the lack of sleep is killin me!!!
@MrNewportjack1 If you can, try to get put on suboxone. It helps with sleeping. And to be honest with you. It gets me kinda high. But it stops withdrawl and depression. And my fav part about it. It stops the craveings for any other opioids. So atleast give suboxone a chance. And its much easier to get off of. It has naloxone in it too. So if you bang it or snort it. Then it wont do anything to you. You have to let it desolve under your tounge. And believe me. It will change your life.

A warning to all methadone users in Canada. I know many people who have died from methadone overdosing. The blame is always put on the addict but most of these deaths are NOT the addict's fault and could possibly even be murder. When you go for your dose, they give you a cup with your juice in it but you never know exactly how much methadone is in it. A 50mls drink could have as little as 20mg or as much as 500mg in it. You can't really tell until it's too late.
hello jeff I'm think on going on methadone but I'm scared of going on it. I am a user of t2s I'm down to 6 a day but on a bad day I go and buy t1s and can take up to 10 to 30 a day. I was spending 120 to 250$ a day on roxie 30's and oc 80's for a year and a half. But now im takeing suboxone 16mg a day. They help with withdraw and craveings extremely well. But all addicts are gunna have to do something anyway in atleast a year from now. Cause they are already switching the OC 80's to OP 80's witch will turn to jell when crushed or wet. Soon all OC 80s,60s,40s,30s,20s,15s, and 10s will be that way. Even the roxies.

@TheMistermuppet Ya you can chew them. But if you want to snort them then you have to stick them in the oven. The heat will harden them up enough for you can crush it . I got ahold of a morphine sulfate tab that had that jelly bullshit mixed with it. And when I tried to crush it it just got so sticky that I couldnt crush it into powder. So i 8 it. But the roxie 30's like the A215's,M30's,K9's,V4812's, and my favs the big blue 224's wont ever get the jelly mixed in. Atleast I hope not..

Methodone saved my life, im only on 80mgs but thats just anough to say no to the other shit.
iv been on it for 3 years and ppl call me weak for being on it for that long but i look at my old friends and they're still shooting dope daily so i think im better off.
Its really not about the "number" your dose is. Methadone effects people differently. Body weight, tolerance, age, activity levels. Peoples metabolism breaks down methadone differently in each person. Methadone can be a very useful tool in a persons path to stay sober. When on a stable dose meth dosnt get you high. Its the benzos and other shit that people use with it that makes people look and act so wacked. It really contributes to societies negative views about methadone.

I kicked in jail so i really had no choice...You can wing yourself off, but these meth clinics will lose your business, and they don't want that. They can be worse than street dealers. @mentaller1 No disrespect but using methadone is not staying sober.It has an upside but i encourage my clients to be abstinent...One can slowly wing themselves off and enjoy life with no drugs at all...Being afraid of the withdrawals is what keeps most addicts on it..The rituals are still the same, like getting up every morning to go get it, just like we did for the street drugs, and still spending money on drugs. I been on 100mg of methadone for two years and I have never once looked as wacked as you do. You dont experience any europhia from methadone. If your getting that high from 80mg then maybe it is too much for you and you have a low tolerance.

@psyfertech One guy offered me money for my Methadone bottle and crap. I SAID NO!!! no!!... But He insisted, the street price of it was $45 he said I will give you 55$... I said NO! he said $65 I said NO! he said $75...I had to think for a minute... and then I said no. I would rather have the Methadone even if people offer alot. I don't know if i should consider myself a recovered addict or if im just trying to make myself believe that i am because i only take them on occasion now(which is usually about 4-5 times a month). God i wish i never started taking them to begin with because i have seriously ruined my own life in 2 years all because of my stupid addiction.
I was taking over 200mgs of Oxycontin a day for over 2 years and even though i only still do them on occasion, i would love nothing more then to completely rid my life of it. Although its kinda hard to do when you live in a home full of Oxycontin prescribed people. I managed to push myself through detox and withdraw all on my own and im terrified that ill relapse completely because it only takes about 3 straight days of use to be addicted again and i'll be feeling like shit on day 4 =[

I agree with alot of the studies done on addiction and the long term effects of drug abuse but you will never convince me that it is a disease. a disorder ? maybe. a chemical imbalance perhaps, genetics probably ! but DRUG ADDICTION IS NOT A DISEASE !!!!!

Man have any of yall tried Suboxone? Cause i loved methadone trust me i got up to 200mg a day, but the shit makes you a zombie, it made me one! But suboxone stops the withdraw just the same and doesnt get you high like methadone. And anyone here who says they dont get high from methadone is a fuckin liar cause at the VERY LEAST it alters your concious into a state of slight euphoria, shit with my dose i got the full euphoria haha. Right on man- same here. I was on 100 mg of methadone for 1 year. I got off and onto Suboxone because of probation- I think it's better for me because I got high for about an hours after I took the methadone- then the high went away I felt normal but by 3 pm I was so tired and sedated from the done I had to take a long ass nap- wasting my life mane.

Why dont you just stop it all? I quit a damn near a 24/7 alcohol journey of 10 years. I did not stop vodka and drink only beer. Opiate withdraw can be done in 12 hours without any pain. Alcohol detox can be done the same way. No valium,librium,or phenobarb. Im not some AA or NA freak,here to save everyone but myself. But you can stop all that shit anytime you want.

i used h for years and have detoxed with methadone many times , never stayed on methadone for longer than 21 days . i went to rehab and am currently doin good . my advice is get off the benzos .

methadone in ontario,canada is five to six bcuks a day. but its usaully covered by our healthcare system or your healthplan thur work. ends up usually being free for most part.

Its a bitch when they get you on Methadone and they leave you on it for years!, it then becomes impossible to get off.
They have changed things now so that they only give out lower doses and 1 year treatment programs, instead of just letting you take it forever.
It used to be way to easy to get on Methadone.

Of course the brain chemistry changes, its being soaked in opiates. They are depressed etc because getting pleasure from everyday life is something they dont know or remember how to do. Opanas look like a suboxone. Or like a stop sign shape. But if I was yall I would get myself off of the methadone,OC's,heroin or any other type of opiaid and switch to suboxone or subutex. Iv been on subs for 5 mounths now. And im doing grate. I was addicted to roxies for a year and a half. And now that im on subs i have never felt better. What would be the best way to obtain methadone? I know of a couple of clinics where i live but am unsure of the cheapest way to do it. I have insurance so should i go to a doctor for a prescription or do the clinics usually take insurance? Thanks in advance.

Im with ya buddy, i tried pain killers after a bunch of personal stuff happened in my life. i struggled for over a year and now i dabble with methadone illegaly, but only because it helps me get off of the others. methadone is called liquid handcuffs here in the u.k,in my experience methadone is way harder to come off than heroin,i came off on 35mls,no horror story this time,its been 8weeks now and still cant sleep...i can take all the other withdrawls but the lack of sleep is killin me!!!

@MrNewportjack1 If you can, try to get put on suboxone. It helps with sleeping. And to be honest with you. It gets me kinda high. But it stops withdrawl and depression. And my fav part about it. It stops the craveings for any other opioids. So atleast give suboxone a chance. And its much easier to get off of. It has naloxone in it too. So if you bang it or snort it. Then it wont do anything to you. You have to let it desolve under your tounge. And believe me. It will change your life.

A warning to all methadone users in Canada. I know many people who have died from methadone overdosing. The blame is always put on the addict but most of these deaths are NOT the addict's fault and could possibly even be murder. When you go for your dose, they give you a cup with your juice in it but you never know exactly how much methadone is in it. A 50mls drink could have as little as 20mg or as much as 500mg in it. You can't really tell until it's too late.

hello jeff I'm think on going on methadone but I'm scared of going on it. I am a user of t2s I'm down to 6 a day but on a bad day I go and buy t1s and can take up to 10 to 30 a day. I was spending 120 to 250$ a day on roxie 30's and oc 80's for a year and a half. But now im takeing suboxone 16mg a day. They help with withdraw and craveings extremely well. But all addicts are gunna have to do something anyway in atleast a year from now. Cause they are already switching the OC 80's to OP 80's witch will turn to jell when crushed or wet. Soon all OC 80s,60s,40s,30s,20s,15s, and 10s will be that way. Even the roxies.

I got ahold of a morphine sulfate tab that had that jelly bullshit mixed with it. And when I tried to crush it it just got so sticky that I couldnt crush it into powder. So i 8 it. But the roxie 30's like the A215's,M30's,K9's,V4812's, and my favs the big blue 224's wont ever get the jelly mixed in. Atleast I hope not..

Its really not about the "number" your dose is. Methadone effects people differently. Body weight, tolerance, age, activity levels. Peoples metabolism breaks down methadone differently in each person. Methadone can be a very useful tool in a persons path to stay sober. When on a stable dose meth dosnt get you high. Its the benzos and other shit that people use with it that makes people look and act so wacked. It really contributes to societies negative views about methadone.

I was taking over 200mgs of Oxycontin a day for over 2 years and even though i only still do them on occasion, i would love nothing more then to completely rid my life of it. Although its kinda hard to do when you live in a home full of Oxycontin prescribed people. I managed to push myself through detox and withdraw all on my own and im terrified that ill relapse completely because it only takes about 3 straight days of use to be addicted again and i'll be feeling like shit on day 4 =[

Man have any of yall tried Suboxone? Cause i loved methadone trust me i got up to 200mg a day, but the shit makes you a zombie, it made me one! But suboxone stops the withdraw just the same and doesnt get you high like methadone. And anyone here who says they dont get high from methadone is a fuckin liar cause at the VERY LEAST it alters your concious into a state of slight euphoria, shit with my dose i got the full euphoria haha. Right on man- same here. I was on 100 mg of methadone for 1 year. I got off and onto Suboxone because of probation- I think it's better for me because I got high for about an hours after I took the methadone- then the high went away I felt normal but by 3 pm I was so tired and sedated from the done I had to take a long ass nap- wasting my life mane.

Why dont you just stop it all? I quit a damn near a 24/7 alcohol journey of 10 years. I did not stop vodka and drink only beer. Opiate withdraw can be done in 12 hours without any pain. Alcohol detox can be done the same way. No valium,librium,or phenobarb. Im not some AA or NA freak,here to save everyone but myself. But you can stop all that shit anytime you want.

When I take my dose of Methadone its sometimes difficult for me to have an Orgasm and its not easy to keep my Penis hard. i used h for years and have detoxed with methadone many times , never stayed on methadone for longer than 21 days . i went to rehab and am currently doin good . my advice is get off the benzos .

I just took my dose and a 1 millagram Klonopin it was an hour later So they were just kicking in and I had no coffee...So....IDK, Fuck it man, Yes I'm gonna have my lil "party" day where I can get lil more donage. Although I used to get a mild glow(High) in the first three years, But yes I am a lil buzzed here....Not gonna lie.

Hey quick question man, do you actually feel the methadone after you've been on it for a while? Cause the reason I'm switching is the subs are too expensive and they don't really hold my cravings especially since my doc dropped from 16mg to 8mg, I kind of had to drop cause I couldn't afford $300 bucks a monthLOL.
