well as far as back pressure goes.. removing some back pressure off the motor will cost u a 'small' amount of tirque, but is gonna guve u more horsepower. also its gonna change the power curve greatly. have u ever looked at an LS3s stock dyno charts? they dont even hit max torque till 4900rpm the powee curve is just a slant. removing the mufflers and adding CAI will bring these cars alive!! im a 2010 1SS LS3 owner.

@Viper5JSF It depends on how loud you want it... essentially what a shop is going to do is cut the mufflers off and replace it with stainless steel tubing... You could have the resonators taken off as well which will ultimately make it louder, because the resonators are in place to tone the sound down.... When you start changing components around it affects the sound because it becomes more free flowing, and less restrictive...

I happen to race too, this camaro has been down the track at least 30-40 times and I shaved 2 tenths off the 1/4 without the mufflers. Sold the car at 33K miles without a single problem.....

If you want sound...rip off the factory headers & exhaust and replace with Hooker headers and glasspacks. Camaros, Challengers, Corvettes, etc. all sound the same. Doesn't come close to the sound of the sixties and seventies. Don't even get me started...

your wrong , a twin turbo with a air cooled intake will make it as fast or if not as faster than a stock v8 , why do you think they make about 3/4 of a foot of space between the motor and the front fender . @cadillacowboy1 thats bull... it allows for a lot more free flow of exhaust which means the engine gets rid of more exhaust which means that it takes in more clean air which allows for more power to be made... and if thats not enough then answer this.... why do people use exhaust cut outs when they race cars like these????..... Why do people use headers???? Evacuate Exhaust... and...Horsepower Gain... I'm not some random idiot who comments on videos like this... I know what I'm talking about

@camaroman1992 well i race...im not a stupid mother fucker that comes on here just to say shit.... mufflers are on cars for certain reasons....they provide back preasure. if a muffler is removed, the valves will basicly commit suicide because of there not being any back preasure to support them and not falling apart.... and the answers to your questions, 1 they do not use cutouts or srtaight pipes. they use open headers....2 people use headers cuz like i just said, they give more hp

I happen to race too, this camaro has been down the track at least 30-40 times and I shaved 2 tenths off the 1/4 without the mufflers. Sold the car at 33K miles without a single problem.....

sounds good dont get me wrong, but its not a very clean sound. throw some really high flow mufflers on there just to clean it up in my opinion. hollow cats too please:)

I have to say that I like American tail light lenses better than from any other car worldwide. They look like deep red jewels. Lights on US made vehicles are better than on European or Asian cars, with the exception on head lights. Can't beat BMW and Mercedes Xenon head lights though.

If you want sound...rip off the factory headers & exhaust and replace with Hooker headers and glasspacks. Camaros, Challengers, Corvettes, etc. all sound the same. Doesn't come close to the sound of the sixties and seventies. Don't even get me started...

your wrong , a twin turbo with a air cooled intake will make it as fast or if not as faster than a stock v8 , why do you think they make about 3/4 of a foot of space between the motor and the front fender . It will gain more HP also , which will make it more powerful if you didn't know and also make it sound alot stronger , and theres nothing a loudmouth can't do !
