I don't like the new Showcase podiums at all. Not the best podium in the world in season 38. I like the old ones better from the Bob Barker days.

Lots of things cooler about the new set, but personally I HATE the new podiums. They're oddly shaped, and I wish they'd use a different font.

For the love of god, if you want to update that's cool...I don't mind. But some things are kinda sacred to me, and I think the eggcrate numbers are too much a part of the show. Something you just don't change.

The one thing that has been updated constantly, until the mid '90's, was the Showcase Podia, and it was about time, and I would think a modern LCD display would be used. They did.

They look a bit too thin, and top-heavy, and the price is too off-centered. Other than that, not too bad.

It's been almost 15 years since the podia were changed over. Thanks, finally.

I do miss the eggcrate Showcase displays, but these displays are very cool; it took them long enough to make a good change to the show; hopefully they'll have more games added than retired this season. (Obviously that has taken a slight setback with the recent retirement of Make Your Mark/Barker'$ Marker$).

they need to make the windows on the podiums a darker color maybe a darker blue because you could hardy see their bids .its to bright to see with the light blue and white numbers.

Finally, Drew is learning how to pwn contestants again (5:54). It's one part of the Barker era that I say the show definitely needs back.

During the Iron Age of Barker (the final years), I would only watch because I wanted to see how (and if) Bob would pwn contestants or react to odd events.

The podiums aren't a problem. The displays are poor.

There needs to be some way to distinguish whether something is a bid or difference. Say, at 6:06, there should be a green background and "-$28,768". Another thing suggested is that "OVER" should have a red background. If you're going to add all these special colors, best to use them to the best effect.

(Also, I like how at 1:06 the S37 IUFB displays are being shown on the TV...)

Great idea there on colors in the set:

It would be red immediately if he or she is over. Otherwise it would be blue after the first price is released, and change after the second price to:

Green - Winner, Red - Loser, Gold - DSW

The second price would immediately show that color.
