I wish every day I could listen to some of this wonderful music instead of Lady Gaga. The shit Clear channel forces on people like me is like Chinese water torture. :/
I remember when I listen to Korn when I was 9 years old. But then again I was 9 YEARS OLD!!!! Korn is that type of band you listen to when you're a middleschooler who has it's stupid teen angsty bullshit persona. I'm glad I grew out of that phase long time and found out there are better music out there other than Korporate Kornholes who like to deliver their rehash/recycled crap since 2003. 2 of their members (David and Head) gone from the fold, it's no wonder why Korn is still struggling to be
Usually i think such accusations are nonsense, but in this case i kind of think korn are jumpin on the dubstep-wagon to gain some points with the youth. The music is okay, i guess, but it just feels like an old dad trying to get on his kid's level by using slightly outdated phrases ..
Fuck what they say everytime i get an album from a band i just want it to be good even if they put out a gospel record. This is a good album im just a little disappointed in 3 songs, burn the obidient, lets go and this song even though i love their sound theyre just too simple wish they would have done more w them but theyre still good songs.
You know what's funny? People would be pissed if Korn made the same album every time like kiss or AC DC. I'm 32 and have been a Korn fan since day 1. Not in love with the new stuff but Korn is still doing what Korn does, innovate. That in itself deserves big props.
I don't like it. This is coming from a girl who's been listening to Korn since she was ten. This isn't them. Good for them, if they like it and everything, but this is rubbish. It breaks my heart to have to know that they're so out of new ideas that they've had to turn to computer generated rubbish. What hooked me on Korn was the heavy, raw sound they had. That's gone now. This whole album is a bad idea.
It's not their best work, and I am a bit disappointed. But I love Jonathan and the rest of the band, and I give them HUGE props for staying in the game this long. If you don't like it, that's when you take advantage of their older albums. I'm sure, being the huge fan you are, you have Follow the Leader, Untouchables, etc. They have kept their feel, even if it isn't the raw, absolutely amazing rage they used to have, it's still undeniably KoRn.
GAY DUBSTEP SHIT!!!!!!!! I have given KoRn every chance to go back to awesomeness but yet again, they keep disappointing me. KoRn fan for life? Not when they produce this bullshit.
@BIOSHOCK2RULER Dude, you were like 3 when KoRn started out so don't try to accuse me of being a Troll. I first saw KoRn in '98 when they came to Australia. I was 15. KoRn and PanterA are the ONLY reasons I listen to heavy music today. When they first started they were raw, heavy and best of all, different. Compare Clown, Blind, Faget, Wiked and all that good shit to this fucking crap, and there is absolutley NO comparison. You may be happy with mediocre music that goes against all that.....
@BIOSHOCK2RULER Heavy music stands for i.e MetalStep of whatever the fuck it's called, but I'm not. KoRn was awesome in the day, but as far as I'm concerned, this is the last fucking straw and they have destroyed anything that resembled the KoRn of old with this horseshit.
Jesus Christ, you're a pissy one. Don't label this as shit just 'cuz you don't like it. Different people are going to have different interests in music, and you are not the judge of whether this is good or bad. They want to try something new, and who knows, they may or may not go back to their old style after this, and if you don't like their new music, that's fine, but to throw a toddler-esque temper tantrum on YouTube over it? Grow the fuck up.
@Darkscreamer785 I am pretty sure whatever they were thinking, none of it had to do with caring about babies, who never liked their music in the first place, have to say. If you don't like their music, click the big X on the top corner of your screen. We won't miss you.
I dislike new Within Temptation, they lost their unique style with the new album.
Iced Earth=always in my heart, but feels like they are stuck to their old, aggresive-militant stuff.
This , however, is evolution.I, as a fan, dont listen to Korn for the sake of listening to metal.I do understand what they say and they have helped me through many hard times.Korn keep getting badass as we go.-
@Bellix1996 They didnt lose their Unique style its been transforming since day one it remains their own that's why they are so popular they aren't bound by the boundaries of a genre.
I love how people say Korn is going mainstream when dubstep is probably less mainstream than their original sound. Without bands experimenting we'd be stuck with the same music we had in the 1920's. Korn tried working with dubstep, in my opinion it turned out very good. The "old Korn" sound isn't coming back most likely, but this is closer to that old sound than anything I've heard from them in a while. For me dubstep fits with this kind of music very well.
@unconejonegro i think they said that this is just a one time thing im not sure, but if you didnt know which from the looks of it you dont, they came out with a album by the name of "KoRn III: Remember who you are" not to long ago, say summer of 2010?. which was them going back to their roots, more accurately trying to create the sound of what the 3rd album would've sounded like had they not strayed. so maybe a little more research will do you good, thx for the laugh.
@unconejonegro So much about what you said is just wrong in my opinion. Coming Undone is closer to their older stuff than this. Their older stuff hardly had any electric sounds like the dubstep stuff and they show Skrillex and other dubstep stuff like that (not just dubstep, they also play like new Blink-182 and other artists and genres but you get my point lol) all over the dining halls here on campus but you never see anything like KoЯn's older stuff being shown.
@unconejonegro Are you kidding dubstep is way more mainstream then nu metal was.But I agree there not trying to go mainstream they just enjoy dubstep and are friends with skrillex so obviously they are going to work together to make music.
Why do people always compare a band to their old shit? Bands evolve and experiment with new sounds. Would you rather listen to the same damn thing over and over just with a few diffrent plucks of a guitar or beat of a drum? If a band did that all the time, they'd quickly become stale and lose popularity. I'm really digging this album because it's a different kind of sound for Korn. but you can tell it's still Korn in a good way. Dub is just right for them to keep the sound but with some spice
This sucks for me, Korn was at theyre best when the debut album came out with great songs like "Blind" and "Faget". This crap is just a way to become mainstream to get more money for theyre music. :(
Infact I could go as far to say that Fuels the Comedy is my favorite...only because it reminded me of the old Korn I fell in love with. It's weird how they made a whole album (Korn III) trying to sound like their earlier stuff, and this bonus track sounds like the old Korn more than that whole album does.
LIKE THIS COMMENT IF YOU WANT TO SEE MORE BANDS DOING MUSIC LIKE THIS! If you live in the UK and have the hardware and know-how to produce live Dub Step, or play guitar/drums/base and want to start making 'Metal-Step' then e-mail - 'bitsofwood@riseup.net' with a sample of your work. I am a vocalist, lyricist and spoken word poet based in Bristol and I've been looking for musicians to make music like this for a good few years now, but never found the right people.
I don't get why everyone is so averse to change. Korn have done what they've always done and gone with the flow of the new era of sound. I don't like dupstep, but putting it together with metal... GENIUS! It's bloody amazing. Shut up and enjoy the music \m/
@Rapidrazorkill totally did. I'm not gonna lie a few of the songs on this cd, mainly Narcissistic Cannibal and Way Too Far, are really good produced songs...but some of this stuff is just garbage. Sad when my all time favorite band can't just call it quits and lived as legends. But props to them for continuing to do what they love to do.
@allsk8noplay I think this inconsistency has to do with them letting each dub step artist also be the producer I think they should have had a seperate producer oversee the entire album.
@ironslavery I agree entirely with you on that one. Although the idea of different producers on each song could make for a very interesting album, it can also cause a complete mess. I have had this cd for awhile now and I've listened to it from start to finish many times...and I can honestly say it deserves a 7/10. Not bad, but not really groundbreaking like they had hoped for. Best songs on the cd are: Narcissistic Cannibal, Way Too Far, Burn the Obedient, and the bonus track Fuels the Comedy
If it weren't for Linkin Parks album Reanimation I probably wouldn't know who Jonathon Davis or KoRn was (or probably Staind and Aaron Lewis either), thank god for Linkin Park... But sorry LP, you gave me a better favorite band with that album...
@ChiYouCunts not when the only two songs any good are get up and cannibal and the rest make it their worst album ever, not to mention one of the worst albums in exsistence. Long live Korn Life is Peachy
I honestly do not like anything to me to like a subject of metal Hause adding more than anything else I do not sound anything Daddy Korn, BBK or Dead Bodies sounds like Korn-Disco.
The techno sounds are too distracting, I hate how they got low then high. I always pay attention to the lyrics but the sounds going everywhere just don't really let me.
It's like the songs should be looked as remixes rather than actual songs.
Idk I admit I miss the heavy guitar and structure they had before.
Techno sounds are too repetitive, and well as you can see his it has an affect in the way things have to be played. For example the lyrics have to be repeated too so it could keep it'
what the fuck is this?? i love korn .... but this is just tarrible tbh .... i loved "narsasistic canibal" tho :) and get up :) ..... but this is just fuckin bad
More like de-evolved. Korn started as something new, different, now they're changing to adapt to what people like now. This is not what Korn was, they reduced themselves to what everyone else is doing instead of making something completely new.
@DanzNuggetz Thats already been done by people like Celldweller. Hell, scene kids have been using dubstep in their songs for a while now. This isn't nothing new or impressive, when they first came out the influenced a lot of bands that were starting out, this isn't going to influence anyone, it was the other way around if anything.
@Dncorc Regardless, They wanted to try something new. People like it. People don't. In the end, who gives a shit? Seriously. Korn will always be Korn.. if you pay attention to the message and not the sound.
I can't stand all the dumb KoRn fans that can't accept the evolution of their sound. KoRn are incredibly creative and if you actually gave this a chance, it has everything their old material had. Jonathan's unorthodox melodies haunting over the music which is slow but chaotic at the same time.
Great eerie song in comparison to NC and Get Up! which are also incredible songs. Narcissistic Cannibal is my favourite so far. :)
The old songs are not gone guys. And as Davis said in an interview, this is what Korn is all about. Mixing different genres of music. I really liked this one. This is better than for example Untitled because there was really no mixing, no real structure in that album. It was just boring. Here there is a clear mixing of genres and I really like it. Will listen to this album, and continue to listen on their old ones.
Hot Topic's thrilled to bring this premiere?!? I am FUCKING THRILLED at the evolution of their sound and creativity. KORN has the most loyal fan base following, 15 years of attending KORN concerts, and I will be there again, over and over, because there is nothing in this world like seeing KORN live.
On my third listen and really starting to like this. A fresh change for the band, but I hope that they can come back to their roots in their next album.
I really love Korn, i really love how they always work on theirs music and i love the thing of adding dubstep but.... this song just sound like a amateur dubstep remix of an other song... :(
We are also fans of the best metal bands such as Pantera,Death,Sepultura,Black Sabbath,Old School Metallica etc. If you like that kind of music check us out, you wont regret it. \m/ /watch?v=RwXXywG41dI
korn will keep going where they want to. that's just that. ive alwase liked korn for the way they evoke emotion and the messages they send. this still does it even if they don't have their old sound.
I enjoy reading the decadent comments of those who have "grown up". Decadence is early death.

More like de-evolved. Korn started as something new, different, now they're changing to adapt to what people like now. This is not what Korn was, they reduced themselves to what everyone else is doing instead of making something completely new.
Dncorc 3 months ago
@Dncorc Or introducing new sounds, new style and introducing dubstep to all the metal-heads.. yeah evolved and evolving still.
DanzNuggetz 3 months ago

MrConorFuller 3 months ago 3
The old songs are not gone guys. And as Davis said in an interview, this is what Korn is all about. Mixing different genres of music. I really liked this one. This is better than for example Untitled because there was really no mixing, no real structure in that album. It was just boring. Here there is a clear mixing of genres and I really like it. Will listen to this album, and continue to listen on their old ones.

Hot Topic's thrilled to bring this premiere?!? I am FUCKING THRILLED at the evolution of their sound and creativity. KORN has the most loyal fan base following, 15 years of attending KORN concerts, and I will be there again, over and over, because there is nothing in this world like seeing KORN live.

korn will keep going where they want to. that's just that. ive alwase liked korn for the way they evoke emotion and the messages they send. this still does it even if they don't have their old sound.

Tbh I think if it had more metal than the elctro/dubstep noises it would sound quite like old Korn anyway, just one of their more mellow songs
