  • What a great version of a great play thx for the glimpse. :)

  • It seems politicians are the same wherever and whenever you are, at the end, they will all be rulers of queen's navee

  • It's so strange to watch different versions of this song~

He did an amazing job though! I really love this rendition ^^

  • Looks like a fun night for everyone! Thanks for posting!

  • I think Porter is better with a thin voice, not so obviously full of himself. This guy is utterly pompous. It's too overt for the humor involved.

  • This looks like a great production. Is there any more of it posted?

  • Absolutely brilliant! Exactly as G&S would have liked it. Look in YouTube, there are several other wonderful Sir Josephs I'm doing this show as a humble sailor- my one and and only Amdram, and am looking forward to it. I'll post the video if someone videos it!

  • What a wonderfully self-important Sir Joseph! Very well done!

  • I *loved* the pause and expression at "I thought so little they *rewarded* me."

    -AHMAD

  • Good diction, Absolutely love this song - as with so many other GnS numbers. Do this myself at gigs - would you believe?!

  • diction...? good word choice?

  • Isn't Sir Joseph meant to do a humorous dance during the intro to 'When I was a Lad'?

  • This production was originally planned to be a simple concert performance, with the vocalists carrying scores (if they wish) and wearing formal or semi-formal evening wear. It was the performers who wanted to do a fully-costumed semi-staged version -- no choreography was ever planned or even desired -- and our audiences LOVED the finished product!

  • Yea. Thats great. It's quite different to the way we did it a few weeks ago. We performed it in a theatre and the orchestra was in an orchestra pit in front of the stage

  • I prefer the pink costumes on the sisters, cousins and aunts. I hope the sailors arne't wearing blue ALSO lol

  • LOL! Watch and you'll see that some of the sailors did have some blue in their outfits - after all, they all sang, "WE SAIL THE OCEAN BLUE, AND OUR SAUCY SHIP'S A BEAUTY!"

  • nice work on this song.

  • thanks.

  • Thanks for bringing back the memories. Our college choir sung these selections while I was there, oh, let's just say over 20 years ago. LOL!

  • Thank you!

  • This is one of my favorite musicals, and this performance definitely surpasses most I've seen. Brilliant voice and acting!

  • Loved your performance John Small!!!!! thanks, it's very enjoyable - its rare to see it performed so well.

  • Wow, thank you so much!

  • I was in the chorus of HMS Pinafore about 30 years ago at school and I am amazed that I remember almost every word, not just my words!!

  • G&S is like that!

  • And John, it was really great to watch you -- I was in HMS as well.

  • Thanks! Were you in FOPAC's HMS? What's your name?

  • Connie did quite an amazing job snapping her fingers. :)

  • Heh heh, you betcha!

    :D

  • Excellent - I much enjoyed it.

I loved the way the lady snaps her fingers!

  • Thanks! Connie did a wonderful job playing Cousin Hebe.

  • Not bad at all, kudos.

  • Thanks.
