  • I looooove this show!

  • jon stewart you are god sent my friend. and i thank the lord 4 people like you everyday.

  • THIS IS A JOKE .. NVM IT LOL

  • What is everybody so surprised about ? Reps always say, they want less government helps or how they call it, socialism, but more patriotism.

Give your life for your country, but dont expect any help.

  • typical republican greed wanted to prevent it.

  • Al Jazeera is a far, far, far more serious channel than the crap concocted by US medias...

  • I remember mix tapes....

  • The phrase is "couldn't care less." If Republicans could care less then how much do they care and why don't they care less?

  • RIP those charred Dollars, we need a monument built to pay service to those heroic dollars and cash lost in 9/11. I will never forget you $20 Bill, never.

  • Not that the MSNBC had paid much attention to the problem untill Jon Stewart pointed it out.

  • fuck America, your fucked!

  • Democratic Party: Incompetent people whose hands are tied by lobby politics.

Republican Party: They might as well just call themselves the lobbyist party.

We need to fix the system and get money out of politics and elections, that will be the first step to solve our problems. I hope the OWS movement can achieve this, since this is the root of many problems.

The existence of FOX "news" bothers me, but apparently freedom of the press covers propaganda...

  • I don't get it, how can you spend billions on a war on terror, which was sparked off by 911, and not spend 7 million on helping 911 rescuers? That's disgusting and Terror...ible!

  • Hahahaha......wow.

  • Government is all the same, no matter which side you vote for the Government still wins.

  • AL JAZEERA , MUTHAFUCKERS !!

They do better journalism then anyone in your big media .

    BOOOOOOOMB, in your face!!!

  • @shurednichso Al Jazeera does the best journalism around! Also, they were the only ones who went to an Indy 500 event and made those people look good....AL JAZEERA!! I almost fell off my chair.

  • I am not an American, but I lived in NYC for 9 years, lived through that horrific day. This story makes me so upset that I want to cry. HOW can these stupid Republicans NOT GIVE a damn??? And why are Americans voting them in term after term?? MORE tax cuts for the wealthy?? Are you fuckin kidding?? In what state of mind does that take priority over saving our heroes??? UGH!!!!!!!

  • This should be called "couldn't care less"

  • Hmm. Its all fair and well to blame the republicans, but all the 'Democratic' broadcasters did not give the story any credit untill Jon Stewart came in.

  • Remember these things that these bastards do. Keep reminding them that they did them. They count on all of us forgetting. That's how the scam works. And when will the left stop being the only saint in the graveyard and fight back as dirtily as the right does? The right only does the bully act because it knows the left are pussies who let one-sided scruples get in the way of logical action. It's like playing poker and letting your opponent cheat, but not cheating yourself cos you're 'nicer'

  • LOL i lost my cash there too its burt black!!!

  • i want the clip of all the republicans who used 9/11 first responders as a soundbite vote down the bill

and that great song was playing

    gotta love bullshit

  • Disappointing...most of these 1st responders are dead now. thier fam should lawsuit the **** up....i'm sure everyone agrees when i say they should've gotten military quality healthcare immediately. they're homeland rescue workers! right? who wouldn't have paid???.. its a touchy topic eh......////.....like yea breathe this 9/11 air! hell no its not a hazard bud. later on we'll tell other americans that they can take a deep a breath of 13.P. air too cause that's how we do!

  • Christ. If Sarah Palin becomes president, I’m out. I’ll find a way to move Antarctica. And this country will deserves what it gets if it truly is stupid enough to vote for that idiot. Voting for Sarah Palin for president is like voting for Paris Hilton for president.

  • Actually, the correct use of this phrase is "Republicans could NOT care less about you."

  • Republicans don't care about Americans. They only care about they rich friends.

You can free to vote for them, but you are doing a great disservice as an American citizen to vote for criminals, and showing a total lack of intelligence. There are tons of other parties (like the green party to name just one) who are not corrupt. Seriously... do some research or vote blank.

  • in Jon i trust

  • How sad is it that it took Jon Stewart to expose this. And he also proved once and for all how phonny Fox "news" is and that it is nothing more than a propaganda network for the republicans

  • @tigerzebra When did the networks and MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, Cover this story. This proves Olbermann is in the pocket of Michael Steele. Bahahahahahaha!

Your logical analysis of this whole subject must have been from the knowledge you acquired while getting your college education. Stick to the Jerzy Shore you have a better understanding.

  • @mueygringo First of all, why are you stalking me?? And more importantly, “ This proves Olbermann is in the pocket of Michael Steele“ What in all hell are you talking about?? You are a weird little dude.

And what is even your point my saying that the networks didn’t cover it? No shit! That was one of the things that Jon Stewart was pointing out.

  • @mueygringo As for Stewart proving once and for all that fox news is nothing more than a republican propaganda network- he did a masterful job showing fox’s hypocrisy. He showed how everyone was getting their panties in a twist over the masque. But something that actually means something- health care for first responders? Virtually Nothing! And why’s that? Because it was the reps who blocked it....

  • @mueygringo ...Even now, after Jon Stewart had to shame everyone in to covering this disgrace, fox news still twists themselves into ways to not blame reps…even one dumbass talking head went as far as trying to blame Jon himself for lack of coverage. I nearly shit my pants when I saw that.

  • @tigerzebra The point is everyone dropped the ball on this including democrats who sat on it and the Networks. The Dem's love to blame and play political games. Case in point Harry Reid's Omnibus bill. Ear marks that republican requested years back were thrown into the bill for blackmail. No comment from Stewart or the Networks. I am against paying for wasteful spending.

The Dem's could have pased this a long time ago. Maybe lining the pockets of their buddies or Union payoff.

  • @mueygringo This is not about ball dropping.

Republicans BLOCKED taking care of 9/11 responders.

    BLOCKED.

    BLOCKED.

    BLOCKED.

    Not dropped. BLOCKED.

You don't get to spin this here.

Frank Luntz is not on my channel.

  • @YOURINQUIRER The fact is that the Dem's could have done this in 2009 but they didn't. Why Not? Political expediency! Jon Stewart tries to push this off on Fox News but Sheppard Smith was one of the first to report and criticize the Republicans. So don't spin this as conservatives don't care.

Blocked because of a slush fund. Just like the stimulus package a waste of money.

What the hell does Frank Luntz have to do with this? Was that a thought after your second crack hit.

  • @mueygringo “but Sheppard Smith was one of the first to report and criticize the Republicans.”

No he wasn’t. Jon Stewart did his show/anger before Sheperd Smith. My Assumption is that Smith saw what Stewart was saying and became just as disgusted as Stewart was. So he risked getting fired from Fox and did his show on it to. That certainly doesn’t mean that Smith doesn’t deserve any credit. On contrary. I think it was Jon Stewart who started the outrage and Smith pushing it over the top.

  • @tigerzebra Jon Stewart was the first comedian to bring this out. Sheppard Smith and Fox News was the first large news agency to report on this. I agree that Jon Stewart should get credit for this. A stand alone bill. Sure pay outs to the Attorneys back in July 2009. As long as the funds are used for the victims not a political payoff to the Trial Lawyers. A stand alone bill can have much in pork. I am sure you realize this. That's a lot of lawsuit money and half for the lawyer.

  • @mueygringo As for the rest of what youre saying, how the hell is Obama suppose to get Anything done when the reps filabuster Everything? Thats what makes me truly sick about them. The fact that they would Want and actually Try to have their country fail if it means the new president will fail to because they want power back. Wow. That is nothing less the pure evil. Im not a very religious person but do know one thing for a fact- one day we All WILL find out for ourselves if Hell does infact

  • @mueygringo If you look at the record, the GOP BLOCKED it!

And it was Al Jazeera who first broke this story and Shep Smith CREDITED John Stewart!

Read a paper, ass-licker. Nobody blocked this except the Republican Party you're grabbing your ankles for right now.

  • @mueygringo “The point is everyone dropped the ball on this including democrats who sat on it and the Networks”

I definitely don’t disagree with that. The dems definitely should have made more of an issues and by not doing so they have some blame in this disgrace; But to go as far as to Block it- I don’t care what anyone says or tries to spin it. There is no excuse for that

  • @tigerzebra I will agree that something needs to be done. It should have been done right after September 11, 2001. However, the bill has passed with a 7.4 billion dollar price tag. That would seem sufficient if more is required then so be it. Not one dime should go to an attorney and any political payoffs or fraud should be held as treasonous with substantial jail time. What we would be as bad is 7.4 billion and no results.

Most people ignore Jon Stewart because he is a comedian, Fox didn't

  • @mueygringo “Don't forget we had a trillion dollar stimulus that didnt work and nothing to show for it! “

Well that was out of left field .

And it actually did help. Before and when Obama came into office we where bleeding jobs for months. Not too long after, Obama stabilized the bleeding and we are, grant it, Very slowly, gaining jobs again. (slowly gaining is sure as hell better than bleeding) And some economists say that Obama’s mistake was that he didn’t spend enough of the stimulus.

  • @mueygringo -No there weren’t. It was a stand alone bill. As for, “No comment from Stewart “ Jon Stewart pointed it out that it was a stand alone bill.

I don’t know That well how the senate works; But if it is possible to blame the dems that they did not find a way to get it done during the 7 months they had during there filibuster proof majority- so be it. Other wise, it IS the reps fault/ disgrace for blocking it (i.e. filibustering it )

  • @tigerzebra Don't forget we had a trillion dollar stimulus that didnt work and nothing to show for it! The money is gone and jobs are lost.

  • @mueygringo We created more jobs in 2 years than Bush did in 8.

  • @YOURINQUIRER You are so full of crap. Those Huffington Post numbers are B.S. and B.O. stinks. Unemployment as high as 10% never dropping below 9% in 19 months. Pass the B.O. stimulus enemployment wont go ver 8%. The Dem's have no idea of what to do. American people like to earn a living. B.O. is going to lose and the Crazed liberal agenda will die.

Sarah Palin is ten times the leader B.O. is . He couldn't even hold his own Press conference. he handed it over to Billy Clinton. WEAK LEADER!!!

  • @mueygringo Sorry that you're such a Republi-Monnie that U think that whatever doesn't make your gods look good must come from the HuffPo. Those of us not grabbing our ankles for the GOP deal in facts. This comes from the Dept. of Labor. Bush=3 million 2000-2008, Obama=4 million just in 2009. The loss of jobs have been in sectors affected directly by the recession beginning under Bush. Clinton, according to the Bureau, created 23 million jobs.

Your own opinion, fine. Your own facts, no.

  • @YOURINQUIRER Unemployment is 9.8% and rising . You can't spin these numbers any other way. If B.O. doesn't want to take responsibility for the economy step aside and allow a leader in there. Hillary was right. When a crisis comes B.O. only has a speech. President Slogan is a failure.

He and little Timmy Geithner are real economic geniuses.

The only thing we can look forward to is that it takes a Jimmy Carter to get a Ronald Reagan.

  • @mueygringo

    "Unemployment is 9.8% and rising"

Er, yes. That's what happens during an enormous recession. You're still wilfully ignoring the fact that this stimulus bill created more jobs in 2 years than the entire presidency of Bush Jnr. If this bill had not happened, we'd be far, far worse off.

Sorry if that doesn't fit your argument, but it IS a fact.

    "to get a Ronald Reagan."

Seeing as that is what fucked us up last time, let's hope history doesn't repeat itself. Reagan was a disaster.

  • @mueygringo I'm sorry that numbers are so hard for you, so I'll use words. Job loses are in areas of the economy affected by the housing & refinance bubble. This fake economy, based entirely on unpaid debt, happened almost entirely under GOP watch. In addition, we started the Bush administration with a budget surplus under Clinton & ended w/ the most massive deficit ever after massive spending & tax cuts that created less jobs than under any President since the depression, & a needless war.

  • Comment removed

  • @YOURINQUIRER I am sorry that unemployment is so difficult for Democrats and Lefties. The part that is good about your ignorance is that Nancy Pelosi is no longer Speaker and Harry Reid will not be Majority Leader in two years. B.O. is gone in two years. It is the same old B.S. Clinton ended deficits. No he didn't so thank Gingrich and the Republican Congress. Maybe you should vote for Newt if you liked those times. You know squat about the history at that time. Huffington Post B.S.

  • @mueygringo Ignorance implies an absence of facts. Since you refuse to present any in your comments & have been impotent to respond to any of mine, I will regard your obervations as standard GOP projection. Amazing how when the GOP gets both houses of Congress and the Presidency, the surplus turned into a massive debt , thanks to the Republicans. Sounds like the only squatting anyone's doing is you on top of Newt. Clinton also created more jobs before the GOP Congress than they did in 8 yrs.

  • @YOURINQUIRER Unemployment is based on people out of work and actively seeking employment. The number of people who are unemployed is much higher. B.O. and the Dem Congress great job! The Huffington Posters should be proud.

  • @mueygringo Just because you don't know it and haven't bothered to look past what your Republimasters have fed you, doesn't mean it came from the Huffington post. You sound like a moonie. They think anything criticizing their cult comes from "the religions". Muhahahah!

  • @YOURINQUIRER Since you believe that the Obamanites created these jobs and that total employment hasn't been decreased under the Obama regime. Take this in to consideration.

I am a Barrister living in Nigeria representing a wealthy family that perished in an automobile accident in Miami, FL. They were driven off the edge of Miami's tallest mountain and plunged 10,000 feet to their death. I must transfer the funds of their estate to an account in the USA. I will need your bank acct. idiot.

  • @mueygringo I can only go where the facts go, you should try it. Once again for the thinking impaired: Job loses are in areas of the economy affected by the housing & refinance bubble. This fake economy, based entirely on unpaid debt, happened almost entirely under GOP watch. We started the Bush administration w/ a budget surplus from Clinton & ended w/ the most massive deficit ever & created less jobs than under any President since the depression, & a needless war.

    Change jobs for their sake.

  • @YOURINQUIRER Your numbers are BULLSHIT unemployed are people out of work. A fake economy? Tell that to 15.1 million people out of work and looking. Add another 17mm to that for all who are capable and unemployed. We already went over the Republican Congress that kept sending a balanced budget to slick Willie Until he signed it. Try to keep up.

Out of control spending is not going to improve the economy. Pelosi's ideas that food stamps improve the economy is so weak even libs no better.

  • @mueygringo I cited my sources. I can't help if just calling something bullshit is an argument where you grew up. We owe your man for 15.1m unemployed since he created less jobs than any President since the Depression (Hoover), let the debt go out of control, useless spending on war and a housing bubble based entirely on upaid debt he knew his replacement would get blamed for.

7.7 million new jobs created in Clinton's first 34 months, genius. In that time he raised taxes on the rich.

  • @YOURINQUIRER Since you are so confident in the budgets towards the end of the Clinton Administration, I am sure you will be endorsing Newt Gingrich.. go back to Huff Po (the Zsa Zsa Network) media matters ( the Soros Network) and get some more bullshit.

Read up a little on Soros and maybe you will have a better idea of why he is so much into politics. What he is buying for his money and what he does to economies for personal gain.

  • @mueygringo I'll endorse Gingrich when I want to shut down the government and spend millions I didn't have to open it up again.

As I said above, 7.7 million new jobs created in Clinton's first 34 months, genius. In that time he raised taxes on the rich.

Republicans only get over their spending addiction when their's a Democrat in the White House. Even then they can't help giving billions to the rich so they can spend it on other countries.

I guess "Country First" meant someone else's!

  • @YOURINQUIRER thats for damn sure

  • @YOURINQUIRER great, more part time service jobs at Walmart.

  • @YOURINQUIRER Facts don't work on conservatives..... sad

  • @mueygringo “the bill has passed with a 7.4 billion dollar price tag.”

No it wasn’t it. Because of that douche Tom Comborn the dems had to settle to only 4 billion

  • As Jon Stewart says,Just fucking do it!
