  • Banjo-Kazzoie, Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64....sweet baby jesus, all their music brings back amazing memories as a bright eyed 6 year old thinking these games were as good as it gets. And it pretty much still is. If only Banjo-Kazooie Nuts 'n' Bolts stayed true to the series...

But Donkey Kong 64 will always be on my top 3 (:

  • fans of this music need to get kingdoms of amalur reckoning, I was instantly reminded of dk64 when playing it and then found out its grant kirkhope who composed it, very beautiful yet simple soundtrack like banjo kazooie and dk64 before it

  • dis fucking tune man

  • I wonder why they didnt make a Second oen this was the best Donkey kong game ever man i remember the day i got this on christmas wit the Green 64 i play this wit my little brother every cahnce i get still lots of fun

  • @Grizzy823 You know, Rare was selled by Nintendo.

they will not make that fast a new Donkey Kong 3D game.

  • who the fuck disliked this... is it cuz of the falling icicles

  • Thumbs up if you got all 201 bananas back in the day :)

  • @JingIeFett Im replaying the whole game right now haha im 76 bananas in full cleared jungle japes angry aztec and the factory part 1 :)

  • @JingIeFett pfft fuck no my system broke when i was like 7 i cudnt figure out how to get the last 20

  • @JingIeFett i got 200 and one of em was the big one

  • Beat this level :D

  • So many childhood memories! This was one of my favourite games growing up!

  • Anyone know if this will be on the wii virtual console soon?

  • @cutter0fsteel I don't know. I doubt it. Rare are a shadow of their former selves and are now owned by Microsoft not a third party for Nintendo anymore. It's probably available for download on a 360 now, though.

  • @Lews026 no, nintendo owns the rights to donkey kong and the kremlings :P

  • This song goes perfect with the snowflake feature.

  • microsoft and sony dislik this song

  • I sure as hell hope Rubberfruit NEVER uses this song in one of his videos.

  • OH...BAH-NAH-NAH :)

  • 2 people couldn't beat army dillo the second time

  • I miss this game so much. I would trade my xbox 360 with all my 15 games for a N64, donkey king 64 and the zelda games

  • This level and its music literally got me into crystals, and to this day I have a quit a few.

All games these days do is make people want to kill each other.

  • This is, and will always be my favorite level!

  • Baby Painis : 3

  • @KShade93 Oh without a doubt! Can't enjoy the level otherwise! haah

  • Comment removed

  • This music is so lovely then all of a sudden, DOOM BANG BOOMERANG DIZZINESS, SOMEONE'S TRYING TO KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tiny should kill that annoying creature and throw it down a bottomless pit!

  • DAMN THE MEMORIES!!

  • I'm not the kind of person to do this but who searches this kind of song just to dislike it? Not like it really matters... Its just a strange song to go out of your way to dislike lol.

  • i think a 3ds remake is in order. or heck a full on sequel!

  • @theetimelincoln YES! :D

  • i looked this video up because i was listening to mr bungle - pink cigarette, and at 0:34 gave me a flashback to 0:50 of this song lol. luved this soundtrack

  • Looks like King K. Rool disliked this video 0_o

  • @luckypenny10 K-Rool and his pet!

  • Hey... I seem to remember the "dum, dum dum dum da dum dum dum" sort of bassy sound being a flute in the game..

  • I wish they could make another game like this one, only with ALL the kongs including the ones from the Donkey Kong country games.

  • @TheAHKCM I think the reason why they can't put it on the Wii Shop Channel because Rare own the rights to Jet Pack. Although it shouldn't be too hard to replace it with a different Rare game that Nintendo owns rights to. Why not a selection of levels from DKC?

  • @rootbeer543 Rare is now owned by Microsoft, who owns the Xbox. That is why DK64 isn't on the Wii Shop channel. At least, that's how I understand it to be.

  • @drummaboy65 No because DK is still owned by Nintendo. They put the original 3 DKC games on Wii Shop Channle. The only thing in DK64 that isn't owned by Nintendo is Jetpack. That's why Nintendo can't put it on Wii.

  • @rootbeer543 I'm sorry. I was thinking of Banjo Tooie. My bad!

  • @drummaboy65 Oh that other person must have been talking about Tooie then. xD MY bad. I thought they were talking about this game.

  • @rootbeer543

No, because Rare helped make the game, so they technically own it :(

  • @JabuJabule But Nintendo owns rights to all things Donkey Kong. They have the rights to DK64, but the jetpack belongs to them. Its the only thing that Nintendo doesn't own in the game.

  • @TheAHKCM I think they can't put it on Wii Shop Channel because Rare owns the rights to Jet Pack. Although it shouldn't be very difficult to replace it with another Rare game that Nintendo. Why not a selection of levels from DKC?

  • We can't ONLY blame Rare for the absence of good DK games. Nintendo has a lot of good DK characters to use in a new 3D platforming adventure, yet they don't.

  • This place gave me rage of the Brooklyn Variety...

    *aims a punch at RARE*

This is for trapping me inside a cave! With the boss!

  • i am so glad i had this game and Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie and DKR!! im 20 now and i play them, i love them... waaa great!!!! the music from kirkhope is always epic! *.*

  • The person who disliked it was K. Rool himself

  • Grant Kirkhope is a musical god among mortals.

  • So peaceful, so relaxing, there's not a care in the w- OMG LOOK OUT GIANT ROCK SLIDE!!!

  • one of the few games i have yet to beat. God damn door wont open to get to K rool

  • BEST THEME MUSIC IN THE GAME!!!!!

  • Does anyone else feel like crying? :') Memories

  • @777Icedtea I did cried a little, because I'm not going to play this again :(

  • @777Icedtea i still have this game and my N64 still works :)

  • @corvette334 Awesome! I have the game, but sadly no expansion pack.. I have played it a lot before (at my uncles house). At least you have it to play. :)

  • @corvette334 My N64 is one of the first 1996 models, old as dirt! Mine still works too! I love DK and Mario Kart! :)

It works better than my XBox

  • @777Icedtea the best part is i can play this game whenever i want since i still have a working nintendo

  • @njrk97 me too :D

  • @niniwata97 wish they would make a sequel

  • @njrk97 yea ever since Rareware left Nintendo, DK games have been terrible. Well ok not all of them.

  • @njrk97 i have a Nintendo 64 too :D I have super smash bros, Super Mario 64, a star wars racing game and a couple of other games that are really boring xD I can't find DK 64 anywhere D: I really wanna get it, and LoZ OoT, Banjo Kazooie and Tooie and Diddy Kong Racing, since they are basically my childhood xD

  • LOL i never played banjo koozie nor Diddy kong racing, but i heard they were fun. Lol i own every mario game made for N64 and both zelda games and DK64, trust me after 12 years of having that game, I beat it like 10 times and cause the game is that amazing.

  • @TheMinh234 really cause to this day i cant figure out how to get the finale key how do you do it?

  • @205whitewolf the last key is located at K-rool's ship, after you beat the eighth boss (the cut out card board of K-rool located creepy castle). If your talking about the creepy castle boss, than its difficult. When you fight the boss, you use the barrel to launch yourself at the board 3 times each round, on the 3rd round he will pop in and out faster than before, so you have time it, don't launch yourself at him when he is shooting lasers at you cause you will never reach him.

  • @TheMinh234 that confused me lol i mean the last key you can see it in the krocks like lair thing after you dismantle the gun thats gonna destroy the island its been so long i forget the names of people and places in the game

  • @205whitewolf oh ok I get it now, LMAO in order to get that key, you need the two coins that open that door (the one with the nintendo coin and rareware coin). In order to get those coins you need two beat the classic arcades games twice. So One of those coins is located in the Donkey kong Classic arcade game (located in the factory map) and the second coin is located in the Classic jet game (which you play at crankys).

  • @TheMinh234 thank you man much appriciated

  • @205whitewolf Your welcome, I don`t mind helping people who enjoy and love playing this wonderful game.

  • @TheMinh234 I never knew why people said those classic coins were so hard to get. I smashed that DK classic arcade game. Took me a good few tries, but nothin too hard. Personally I find some of the temples in DKR harder meself.

  • @777Icedtea no...

  • *plays 64 again* *goes in caves* donkey:this place is my favorite diddy:why? donkey:cause i can hide bananas using spy's cloak :D chunky:ugh ya! tiny:at least its not a cave with painis cupcake in it -_- lanky:WHHOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!! *goes seizure insane* painis cupcake:DAMIT! everyone:0.0 painis cupcake:I AM PAINIS CUPCAKE...I WILL EAT U! :D *eats lanky* *everyone looks at painis cupcake* painis cupcake:WHAT?
  • I LOVED the race you had to do in this level XD my friend and I had so much fun cuz we always messed up :] @galaxyguy159 - I was raised with all of them ^^ Mario, Zelda, DK 64 AAAAND banjo kazooie! <3

  • Some were raised on Mario, others on Zelda. Me I was raised on this!

  • @galaxyguy159

some were raised on all three!

  • I pray that someday this gets remade..I mean I downloaded every single song and put it on my ipod because it inspires me SO much ; o ;..

  • This level was hard for me to find when I was little. I mean, the ear?

  • mysterious. wonderful. beautiful. the songs from this game can define my entire childhood, and easily stand out as the most powerful form of nostalgia out there. memories are trapped in this melodies. incredible music, incredible game. indescribable why it means so much to a seventeen year old who used to play the game ten years ago. long live nintendo 64

  • I wrote lyrics to this music for my friend for Christmas one year.

  • lol @ Diddy's face

  • 1stgenbrokentbh is a gay furry.

  • i,m crying when i hear this song..

  • This game was amazing. I'm excited for the new Donkey Kong Country game, but I still wish another Donkey Kong game would be made like this one. =(

*sigh* If only Rare hadn't left Nintendo...

  • Rare RARELY makes good games anymore

    dun dun chhh!

  • y rare did you change? y... :(

  • crystal castles

  • All other Donkey Kong Games are on Virtual Console, why not this one??

  • Its sad to say i dont see the day that Nindendo will work with Rare on another project, but who knows, 10 years ago who'd have thought sonic would be in a game with mario?

  • HackAttack is correct. Nintendo completely lost their creative edge on making games. Just like all movies are 3D now, all Nintendo games are silly new ways to gyrate your wiimote. And Rare failed miserably at Microsoft, Nuts & Bolts was the only semi-decent game they put out in 10 years of being apart from Nintendo.

Did that deal work out for anyone? Absolutely not. Take the time to appreciate the majestic partnership between N/Rare that gave us some of video game's all time bests. N64 </3...

  • @smitbg amen.......your words are brilliant. ive been thinking the same for quite some time

  • This level kind of makes me think of a sad-scene in a children's fantasy-movie

  • @Deader87

The music in this level has always reminded me of the theme song to Days of Our Lives :P

  • @barber747 Interesting, it makes us think of different things I guess

  • Damn. I wish games would go back to being aimed at kids. I don't care how old I get. I'd rather play something that evokes a sense of exploration and wonder rather than "RAMIREZ! SHOOT THAT GUY!" or "KILL THE FLOOD"

  • This game is awesome. Iv'e never beaten it but i'm trying now and so far I have 500 bananas and 25 golden bananas in each level up to Fungi Forest. I like this level. I think its based sort of off the ice caves from DKC2.

  • memories (tear)

  • This is the level I hate the most, but the music is really beautiful!

  • scary, but soothing... this is strange.....

  • i miss this game why the heck did nintendo sell rare to microsoft

  • nice music... until those fucking stalactites start falling!! >:(

  • Nice song

  • Did anyone else get scared on this level or was it just me?

I can't remember exactly what but I used to be scared of going certain places haha

  • I hated when that thing kept hitting the level...it scared the crap out of me lol

  • man the memories....i miss the simple days of childhood. and I really miss games like this, which don't exist anymore... But I think ratchet and clank still has that fantasy adventure feel to it?

  • i had dreams of this area before I played the game! :D

  • Ah!!! I still have my N64. On top of that. I have DK 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Mario 64, Star Fox 64, etc. To make it even better, I still play Goldeneye 64 with my brother and my friend that I grew up with. These are treasures that I will keep for a very long time.

  • I can picture that Banana Fairy crying amidst this music. O.o

  • i luv this stage!! its my favorite. i spent tonite trying 2 get back 2 it almost succeeding, but i got to that wood block and i didnt hav enough bananas 2 go in T^T we had beat it, then my little brother overrit our file. T^T

  • 懐かしいな~

  • Best game ever.

  • @Mariooo57 no, but certainly one of them

  • The graphics were incredible for 1999 the music was awesome and the controls were extremely responsive. This was the game I would run down at breakfast to play and is my favorite N64 game. Not even Mario 64, Banjo or even Zelda can compare to the masterpiece that is this game. We havent even got a real Donkey Kong game since this. There was the remakes, the spin-offs and the climber series but since this we havent got a chance to play another excellent Donkey Kong game. NINTENDO NEEDS ANOTHER!!!

  • @9legoboy9 Hopefully Donkey Kong Country Returns will be good.

  • @9legoboy9 Could not have said it better, this is my favorite game of all time :D

  • dick dick dick dik dick

  • Can anyone tell me why there's a muted guitar at 01:42 instead of a panflute?

  • Oh man, this music brings back wonderful memories. I remember turning on the game just to listen to this music.

  • I'm more than certain Rareware could make a lot more money were they to release a TRUE soundtrack for this game, one with almost every song on it. How many people would shove their money in rare's face to get that soundtrack?

  • @DementisXYZ I would definitely pay for that and ones for Banjo Kazooie and Tooie!

  • When Iwas little playing this game I remember all the wonder and joy I had when playing this game. I used to make up little lyrics when I was 6 or 7!!! Haha I love this.

  • admit it guys, no soundtrack in this game is better than the other.

They are ALL as epic they can be! :D

  • There was only a few hard golden bananas to get in this game, one of them for me was when you were Tiny and you had to race that creepy bug thing down the slide, uhhhhhh that guy took forever for me.

  • I agree with you on there. I hate the green little scum. But the 2nd time was easier.

I still have this, I love from the Gameplay, to pretty much everything.

  • your´e right but when u are going to race with lanky kong in crystal caves i even worse!

  • The entire soundtrack of this game was awesome, but I especially loved Crystal Caves (and its boss theme as well). Frantic Factory was great too, creepy, I hated that level haha.

  • @SelenyumSe34 Creepy Castle had sweet music too!

  • Indeed, I think it's my third favorite level theme. The main variation was great, very catchy.

  • I personally like the demented catacombs and ballroom music lots!

  • DK 64...BEST GAME OF ALL TIME.

  • @BlahZayy1190 Hard for me to choose between DK and Ocarina of time...legendary games

  • I always sang this as "I'm the only trusted beaver" because I thought at first there was only 1 beaver there.

  • HighLandHotPocket - That's exactly how I felt, the anxiety, the mf rock smasher, the fear. lol. It's true; great game anyway

  • i love this music in the backround at 1:06

  • I remember that after I killed that club-wielding mf, I had severe anxiety for a while when the music played and that part of the song came when it would switch to a fast dramatic beat and the rocks would fall. I was scared that it would never end even though I killed him. XD

  • i hated those fucking vikings swinging their clubs, ive still got the games and i still hate those little faggots LOL

  • thats beautifuel

  • ohh and i forgot tony hawk pro skater 1

  • awwh man i remember growing this goldeneye and earthworm jim 3D was all i played wen i was old enough to finally understand how to play videogames super nintendo was just at the end of the road and the n64 came out i loved this game i wish i could just live my years of age four to 8 all over again just one more time

  • lol it dosent make me sad i still got my nintendo

  • When I was a child this Level scared me. I hated the falling rocks and the Banana for Diddi in the Big house. But the Music was my favorite

  • Lol, good memories. Sounds like one of those rainy day songs, you know? Aside from those "Club swinging Bastards", I used to get purposely killed because the thought of them helplessly trying to kill you was funny. However, being targeted and having the sniper or some shit say "GET OUT", very well freaked me the fuck out. Yup, good times.

  • i remember the "GET OUT!"...

  • that used to be so afraid of that when i was little

  • Were you scared by the bastard with the club causing earthquakes or something? You'll feel much better when you kill him with Tiny. After that, he'll never bother you again.

  • I remember playing this when i was about 7, I never got past this level for like a month cause i got so freaked out by the snipers and falling rocks and stuff

  • I remember when I was small and got to this level the part with the little club bastard gave me nightmares lol... trippy-ass ice pillars :P This melody makes me sad... makes me think of what Nintendo was like coupled with Rare, now Nintendo is no longer creative and Rare gets bltch slapped by Microsoft. They were meant to work together IMO

  • It more makes me think of the victims who died in 9/11 because, I played this game around the time that happened

  • Hmm, never really thought about that before... I also played this game at that time as well.

  • Wow, what an interesting coincidence. Do you necessarily associate this game with 9/11 because you played it around the same time

  • this melody always cheered me up... i always had to play after creepy castle

  • you got me at the bitch slapped part.

  • @benify lol dude :D thats was cool

  • @KennethMoreland

    Keep dreaming troll.

  • @xHackAttackx

Is that why Rare ditched Nintendo? Lolololol.

  • @KennethMoreland rare hasnt made shit for microshit. i hate my xbox i am glad i sold that shit for a ps3.

  • @KennethMoreland Well, they did bring Banjo-Kazooie to the 360. Can't complain there.

  • @KennethMoreland (coming from the microsoft fanboy) not taht i dont love microsoft and all but hack is right rare and nitendo made some amazing games :)

  • @xHackAttackx Nintendo's still creative, just look at Super Mario Galaxy, Kirby's Epic Yarn, and a bunch of others.

  • @Nsanity96

About the Kirby game. It's a game about yarn!!!

  • @Nsanity96 well kirby's yarn hasn't come out yet... and rare's new games are certainly creative... if nothing else... viva pinata, banjo nuts n' bolts are good examples

  • @whistlemasterX nuts and bolts sucked man and u know it. certainly doesnt compare to the original banjo games

  • @aurlis2012 well it was certainly different but i wouldn't say it sucked... at least it was better than grabbed by the ghoulies... not much of a platformer tho...

  • @aurlis2012 well it was certainly different but i wouldn't say it sucked... at least it was better than grabbed by the ghoulies... not much of a platformer tho... besides i didn't say good i said creative, don be puttin words in my mouth foo :P

  • @aurlis2012 hell yea the banjo kazooie for n64 was way better if nintendo brought back its old games it will b good again

  • @xHackAttackx What are you talking about? Nintendo are doing better than ever.

  • @xHackAttackx (of course, I do agree that Rare went way downhill after joining MS.)

  • @xHackAttackx nintendo is going downhill....................its really sad :(

  • @xHackAttackx I AGREE WITH YOU nintendo was so much better back than, but i do miss this game. it was kind off like my childhood game.
