This kid has a cannon. Dick Mills is a fucking moron. This helps the arm get stronger not develop mechanics off the mound. First you develop the arm strength then you bring it to the mound. This equals results.
i remember the day i threw 88 my freshman year of highschool..to bad i was a hard hitting linebacker that ended up dislocating my shoulder my sophomore year and now i cant throw harder than 82..o well i guess
seems like my dad (john savage) coached him well at ucla...but bauer shoulld of gone first intsead of gerrit...but gerrit has an amazing personality and trevor not so much
im 8 and i hit a ball 800 ft opposite field with my plastic waffle ball bat PLUS MY DAD IS SANTA CLAUSE AND MY COUSIN IS BUGS BUNNY SO I KNOW WERE MY SKILLS COME FROM
hello someone can tell me how do I get an athletic scholarship to enter the universities and sports talent I exploit my right pitcher throw 93 miles per hour has to communicate with me my msn is adalwin45@
i hit 91 before i started this and after a week of jaeger i hit 94 in a game, but i'm mostly 86-92...i've never gunned the pull down phase so who knows what i hit with that. I live in the north so i can't jaeger right now becasue i'm stuck inside due to the winter weather, and the place where i get to workout is only big enough to hold two cages at like 65 ft. so my bull pens are only like 83-86 mph right now...it sucks...hopefully i'll get to jaeger before the season starts.
long toss is great if you do the longtoss and train the mechanics it will help you out alot my last 5 games i had an average of 10 strike outs in 4 innings
@cfl990 Your thinking of like softball or somthing. there are three different types of arm slots. Sidearm 3/4 and Overhand. Throwing from 3/4 is overhand. your thinking of over the top which is any baseball pitching other than sidearm and submarine. K PUMPKIN?
i have a question i hope someone can answer. were can you get a pitching gun do you have to order it plz someone tell me cuz i'm a pitcher and i need one
@the61919 get a stalker radar gun, 99.9% of pro scouts use em, jugs actually has a bad reading, its usually 2-4 mph under the actual speed. a stalker is def gonna cost you $1000+
Dayum... kid's got a monster arm! This dude is a rising Junior at UCLA and he already has a really bright future ahead of him. Can't wait to see what he's got next season!!
We know the kid. Know the family. Know the workout.
Results matter. Who is to judge what "good mechanics" are - there is no consensus. No two pitchers EVER threw exactly the same. His mechanics, or better yet, his movement patterns, are how he stays efficient. I know most instructors stress mechanics (easy to teach that way), but whose mechanics? Once a pitcher knows the basics, repeating mechanics breed mechanical movements.
Athleticism trumps choreography in athletics every day.
seriously you guys, stop hating on him. half of you people probably cant even hit 80's. and if you say that he's got nothing on you, his junior year in high school he went 12-0. his ERA was 1.06, and he only had 15 walks. so seriously, grow up.
and for all of you who say this jaeger sports long toss program doesnt strengthen the arm you dont know shit. im 10 months post-tommy john surgery and increasing velocity gradually each week. long-tossed 100 yards today and the pulldown is where the arm opens up.
okay just so you all know, he was freshman pitcher of the year in division 1 baseball while at UCLA last year. he had almost 100 strikeouts to around 20 walks. so dont say he isnt a pitcher...give me a break.
He is crow hop throwing not pitching. Look at John Lester of Boston Red Sox. He looks effortless when he is pitching and he throws 92-96mph!!! Mechanics are key!!!!
plays for ucla...under 3 era as a starter and made the all american freshman team as a younger freshman due to skipping his senior year in high school. hes pretty fuckin nasty
i could touch 80 lol and the kid does have talent i watched him pitch last night at that urban invatational and he was blowin his fastball passed guys and he has two really good offspeed his change is nice and his curveball is deadly if he keeps it up he could be a 1st round pick
stalker is most accurate gun out there.! and half of you dumbasses dont know shit about baseball and velocity. yes there might be a few mph difference crow hopping but some pitchers throw harder off a mound with the downward force from the angle. i wanna see half you bitches even touch high 80's. the kids got talent
@TNate101 he's also extremely smart. i hav seen a bio on him. he has a 4.2 GPA, and his major is nanotechnology, which is stuff that has to do with curing cancer and stuff like that. he left high school and went to UCLA his junior year, and he actually called his high school classes boring because he knew everything. hes a pretty awesome dude. kinda weird, but awesome.
thats not really true that major league pitchers hit 97 without even putting that much effort into there fastball it may look like they dont but they really are
look how hard he is working to get to that velocity... you look at any major league pitcher and they will hit that without even that much effort. its the mechanics that produce velocity... not long toss.
to me it looks like he is a feilder not a pitcher. he is throwing from a "crow hop" not a pitching windup. i think he is just trying to get speed which he has. but from experience when a pro pitcher is throwing their fastball they are about giving it there all. but the good mechanics cover that up and it does not look like they are throwing 100% when they may be.
hes 18..he skipped his se of high school to play for UCLA..was the NCAA freshmen of the year...he longtosses because its part of his arm care routine.
why do u guys hate he was drafted . . . so he must be doing something right.

probably close to a 360 foot throw. it says somewhere on one of the youtube videos that a 360 foot throw equates to a 97 mph throw.
