  • thanks ted....again never somthing i would ever been able to see...really thank you!

  • +++++

  • great video Ted!!!!!

    Thanks for sharing

  • Truely the Greatest Generation. We must never forget.

  • R.i.P.

    Are they actually burried there?

  • @RhodiesNeverDie They certainly are. Most were moved from temporary cemetaries scattered all over this part of France and re-buried here after the war.

  • hi..were you under time restraints or did you run into legal issues showing Mr Ed in full? we wanna see and listen to him..please, pretty please!

  • @dapappacn I'd been filming him all day. I wanted to listen to him too!

  • Ted, as always an awesome video. Never seen a "Tobruk pit before" - I'm used to the mg assistant being right next to the gunner to help with reloading/barrel change, but I can see how such a small opening would minimize exposure of those in the bunker from indirect fire.

  • Am I the only one bothered by the people laughing in a cemetery where so many people who died over such a short time are buried? I am not religious or spiritual in the slightest but show some damn respect.

  • @Kooletz71 Yes, there was a French School lids group. They were a bit intrusive.

  • @kiwitedferny The French are intrusive! :P

  • @Sonnypjim09 the french should kiss the ground the canadians, americans and brits walk on 2 god dam wars we had to bail them out of lol

  • @camerl2009 Yes and thanks to "Overlord" (and Steven Spielberg), also a lot of mony is flooding into the Normandie until today. So I'm sure they are thankful.

  • Another winner....these could go on..and on....and on..and I'd never get tired of them or learn enough. Thanks Ted.

  • Well done, Thanks,

  • Amazing just amazing. The landscape is is wonderful. I cant wrap my head around the amount of graves are in that one spot.

    Schmoo

  • @MichiganTNP There are 9,378 of them...it's a sight that will stay with you.

  • U need to sort out ur render settings to make it full screen :)

  • @MrcabooseVG I'm lowering the upload size to speed things up a bit.

  • thanks Ted. I would have never seen it from this point of view.

  • Thanks for posting this series of vids.

  • : )

  • i hate saving private ryan.

  • ive been there too...ive just visited there

  • Ive been here too

  • I'm sick and tired of this Mick bastard convincing me of my own inadequacies as pertains to any form of knowlwdge I believed I had about anything!!

Go back to Paddyland and lecture about Pointe du Blarney stone!:)

  • @vandoo66 You spelled " knowledge " wrong , point invalid . Irish people 1 - Virgin 0

  • @darraghtank

My ''propos'' was not meant as derogatory and clearly indicated my awe for the individual being pointed out. Being 1/8 Irish, I'll partake in 1/8 of what the defamation case brings in.

p.s. Clearly, someone as astute as yourself, can denote a typing error.

p.p.s. That being said; one should always re-read before posting, thanks

  • @vandoo66 sorry i take it back then

  • Thanks!

  • Thank you Ted, yet another excellent vid, the end quote was goose bump inducing...

  • Shit tons of bits of awesome history. Keep up the vids you limey bastard

  • @nutsarefancy No worries, Yankee Wanker. :)

  • @nutsarefancy

    Kiwi actually.

  • wow that must be spectacular to see in real life. and i though that you weren't allowed to go in the bunkers?

  • @groundzero94 Some are closed off but many are...surprisingly...open for tourists. In the US the lawyers would have it ALL blocked off. Note that there're no guard rails along the bomb craters either!

  • Very interesting.

  • Wow, I have to say, what a beautifull quote that was.You realy summed it all up..

  • If I ever make it to Normandy, I definetly want to have him as my tour guide

  • wexford actually. polar opposite end of the country, several of my former nco's were in it

  • love these history video

  • @1234lukerr Thank you. I'm glad you enjoy 'em.
