When performing live, he may not sound the greatest, but there are reasons for this. For one, screaming takes an incredible toll on your voice after years of doing it. god, i really really like the used. but i just them in toronto on the three days grace tour and i was SO dissappointed. their sound was terrible, the bass and drums were so loud you couldn't even hear bert singing, and he sounded terrible when you could hear him. i'm sorry, but bert acts like a total shit head on stage. he spat on security guards and on the few fans of the used that were there. he made fun of 3DG too, when it was THEIR tour. like are you serious? it made me really sad :(
