Completely different animals. A chorus doubles the guitar's sound with some modulation to create anything from a doubling effect (like a chorus of more than one guitar playing the same notes) to a swirling sound. A wah is a foot-adjustable EQ filter, while an overdrive is basically any effect with soft clipping due to signal gain. Depending on what sound you are going for and what amp you use, any one of these could be a higher priority for you.

What amp do you use and what style of music? All the gear you use is part of an overall system, and it's always more satisfying to add something to your system that fits in. Kind of like you don't add a moonroof to a car that doesn't have a steering wheel yet.

@Prangiotis, I'm going to be purchasing a chorus pedal soon myself and I am going with the Ch-1. The only real difference between the CE-5 and Ch-1 is the equalizer feature. I already have a 7 band equalizer and use it for E.Q on my distortion, if you want to use the effect widely...I wouldn't suggest getting the CE-5 if you have an E.Q pedal. If you don't, go with the CE-5 since it has E.Q feature. It all depends how your going to use it and how you already have things set up on your board :P

Unfortunately I haven't tried the CE-5, but I have a CH-1 for a half year, and I'm maximally glad with that guy.

I think both of the pedals are excellent, that's your choice which one like you better :)

I have tried the CE-5 and the CH-1 both. There is no difference between the sounds of the pedals. The only difference between the pedals is that the CE-5 have a filter knob.

IMO, I would say that you should go for the CH-1.
