Personally I think the sound they are going for in this video is just as good as the sound they go for now. You can't expect a band to do the exact same stuff as they were doing three years ago. As the guys grow up so does their music.

No, Jonny was not here at all. The Latency was formed in 2006, when band members Ryan Stead & Mathew Gendron were in highschool and found Brandon Lehti when their separate bands were on bill together. Brandon played drums back then while Ryan was lead vocals and guitar as Mathew still remains Bassist there - present. =D
