  • is this endothermic?

  • The above reaction produces carbon dioxide gas which is directed to a tube with lime water (calcium hydroxide solution). Carbon dioxide reacts with it to form calcium carbonate which is insoluble and therefore precipitates out.

    Ca(OH)2 + CO2 = CaCO3 + H2O

The clouding of lime water is a test for the presence carbon dioxide.

  • We can make Reduction of CuO wiht H2. NaOH + Al=H2 +... And H2 + CuO = Cu +H2O That's right ?

  • can we make sodium like that from sodium oxide NaO+C?

  • You mean, Na2O? No, we can't. Alkali metals are only made by electrolysis.

  • If it only was so simple...but you can displace the sodium with potassium or with a heavier alkali,

  • Cool
