  • Great!! gonna do it on exam day!!

  • 71 is 10% of what number? 710. 71.0. Same with two digit numbers. 3.4 is 10% of what number? 34.

  • Great job!!! in example one we can 0.10 times by 80= 8 finish just that so easy!!!!!!!

  • Yay I'm gonna get an +A on my test tomorrow thx!

  • You make things super easy. I needed a refresher on decimals and you explained this way better than any teach I have ever had. I am going to favorite (I'm subscribing as well) this video for my younger brother when he needs help with math homework, thank you so much!!!

  • @Liyah2sweet Thanks for this wonderful comment...and for subscribing!

  • You are great, really helping me come to terms with stuff xx

  • Is this the only time you move once when you have 10% to get 5.5? I saw your other percent videos and you moved over twice? thx

  • @alleykateyes22 when you are changing a decimal to a percent you always move the decimal 2 places to the right; when you are changing from percent to decimal, you always move the decimal 2 places to the left. I do not know what else you are referring to. You can give me a specific example if you want.

  • I wish you were my teacher!!!!

  • very cool teaching , thanks man very clear.

  • Thank you for your videos. Will come back.

  • omg thank you so much I was never able to learn this when I was in school, it's insane how easy you made it.

  • Thank you, this is one of the most hardest things I needed helping with and YOU saved me sir. You're a great and wonderful teacher, I hope your my maths teacher, you're awesome! Thanks for the video, it helped me A LOT. :)

  • Thannk you, i am studying for the asvab and this will help me out to get a higher score

  • @blackandyellow53 great--good luck!

  • Thanks you for this... it's kind of embarrassing for me to be a freshman in high school and still have trouble with percents... But this video helped. Thank you.

  • Thank you this was a great help to my 6th grader!

  • very nice and easy way thank you :) Great teacher!

  • Ty Ty Ty ty

  • Dude you made this so easy for me to understand I dunno why some teachers just yell cause we don't understand them. I understood you in four min and it less complicated thank you keep making new and different videos.

  • @TheNavyleo thnx 4 this nice comment

  • We were doing a warm up review in algebra today and I completely forgot how to find the percent! thanks!

  • Thnx Easy r then I thought

  • THANK YOU! THIS VIDEO WAS GREAT! :)

  • thank you sooo much!!. this helpped me a lot. for 6 years i never understood how to work out percentages and not i was bothered to type it down on youtube. finally!! :D

  • Who needs a tutor when u hav youtube?

  • @blackxangelxforever I totally agree--ha ha

  • Thank you so much for this!! Helped me alot,Thank you! :)

  • My whole life I always copied off the smart kid who was in all my classes in math and now I dont know why.

Thank you so much I really get it now!

  • @patriciacarcass thnx 4 this comment

  • @northstar15 NO! thank you!

  • do we round the 17.50 to 18 because that's what I did. Would that be considered wrong?

  • @luvbeingmama83 rounding is not the same as changing a decimal to a percent--if you round 17.50 to the neatest whole number, then yes, the answer would be 18

  • Good teaching!

  • I'm just kidding u'r not a retard, you an awesome teacher. Thanks for the tip.

  • like the video can you show me how 2 do PYTHAGORS , BRACKETS, ANGLES, AREA AND PERMINETER

    FROM tan13t

  • @tan13t thanks for liking my vids--unfortunately, I do not have the time to make all the vids that you request, but let me think about some of these topics for future vids...

  • Thank you northstar, for taking the time to EXPLAIN the problems and the steps to solve them. What could've been a major shock to my tiny lizard math brain is now easy breezy. And, if you can make algebra understandable to me, then you have to win some kind of metal. ;)

  • @SeeTimeRun391 thnx for the comment...

  • Thi is too complicated ... just convert the 10% to 10 divide 100 and reduce that ...

  • Are you serious? All this time I thought percentages were hard. Thanks dude I feel good about myself now. Lmao! Ty for not making it hard.

  • ty

  • You made sense!, my teacher was like: nananannaaa.. Bah do this blah blah then you err... Banaaababaa, neneenenenene then you mulltnnipy dis numb I'n bah blah blah. Anyone know what that means? I don't! Lol but thanksso much 4 this ur a life saver!

  • @gleek1a1 thnx 4 the comment...

  • This so easy for me now! :]

  • You are a life saver. I wish you were my maths teacher.....

  • The music intro reminded me of a retro game, I'm glad it wasn't a game video... as I need to revise.

  • thanks xD

  • WOOOW DUDE!!! YOU ARE SAVING MY BUTT!!! I WILL BE DOING A TEST TO BE ELEGIBLE TO WORK AT DMV AND I NEED THIS EQUATIONS!!! YOU ARE AWESOME DUDE!!!! I REMEMBER THIS NOW...!!! WE ALLL APRECIATE THIS...!! THANKS!!!!!!!!!

  • You rock dude...Studying for my GRE's and I forgot a lot of stuff

  • great teaching skills.thanxx

  • Bravo, bigguy

  • w000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000w

  • Thanks for this - helped a lot.

  • awsome man, thank you. This really helps.

  • Thank you

  • thank you very much you are a great teacher :)

  • Thanks a lot man you help me out on my homework.

  • Where were you when I was in school, lol. Atleast my son, both of my sons have a chance to learn math in an easier, more simplified way, insuring more of their success. My mom used to always say... "Math is ALREADY easy". Now I am kind of feeling like it is.

  • thank so you so much!

  • Great!!!

  • thank you sooooo much!!!!

  • thanks so much, but just to make sure i'm right,

62% of 40.. move the decimals 2 places to the left then multiply by 40. you should get the final answer as 24.80% right?

  • That's exactly right. You can use mental math to check--50% of 40 would be 20, so 62% would be just a little more than this.

  • what if you are trying to find the pecentage of 2 numbers like .180 is what percent of 394

  • So: 10% of X is always .X and 1% of N is .0X.

You can manipulate these values to arrive at any percentage. :)

  • That's exactly right--you have it )

  • Thank you so much. Even adults need help!!!

  • fantastic!

  • TNX u for ur help I just started working with decimals today and u have cleared this up for me 100%TNX again!

  • THx im in a 5th grade advanced math class super GREAT!!!

  • super helpful...i was maaking this more harder then what it was

  • good job

  • helpful :D

  • o oops nvm about the last comment i no now its going to be the same number beacuse 100% represents the whold number! So 100% of 20 is going to be 20! but thx again!last time i didnt watch the whold vidoe! so i didnt watch the part where u explained how to do 100%!

  • thx but i have a question what would you do if the persentage was 100%! for example 100% of 20 i know that (of) means to multiply in math! but how can u have a deciamal when its 100 do u just leave it as 100 and multiply it by 20 or do u do something else?

  • thanks for your help. yourrrrrrrr great.

  • thx it helps

  • How would you do: 4% of what is 32?

  • You can do it 2 ways: one way is to set-up a proportion that looks like this: 32/n = 4/100. Then, cross multiply the 32 and 100 to get 3,200. Then divide by 4.

Perhaps an easier way is to just divide 32 by .04 (you must change the 4% to a decimal). Either way, you get 800.

To check this, just multiply 800 by .04 and you will get 32.

  • Thanks a lot for your help!

  • @northstar15 Nice! I knew how to find "what is % of whatever," but I never thought you could do the same with ("x% of what is 32 or whatever"), but by dividing lol I feel retarded now because I always fumbled when it comes to that type of equation (for years) lmao thanks a lot though!

  • @northstar15 wait a minute i'm getting 1.28 as my answer. Did i do it right?

  • nice shirt but u helped me lots of luv

  • a Northstar, u r very correct. Pretty smart.

  • thanks i am makeing up work and it is like 2 am and im freaking tired but now i get it. Great vid :D

  • what if is was like 90% of 53

  • Just change the percent into a decimal by moving the decimal two digits to the left (in 90% the decimal is at the right of the zero--it just isn't visible) and then multiply .90 and 53 to get 47.7. This makes sense because 90% is almost 100% and 47.7 is almost 53...

  • thanks bra

  • formula: eg. 23% of 54: 23x54 =1242 divide by 100= 12.42... 23% of 54=12.42 ?

    is this right aswell?
