@TheYobean Actually, if you want control over you bassoon, you SHOULD (not you have to) sit near the back of you chair, but not against the support. You should also have you seat strap near the front edge of your chair. I will say that the player's posture is not the best, but the chair that is in use by her is not a good one for a bassoon because of the dip.
