NEVER NEVER NEVER use the towel trick. you have to make sure the heatsink is properly positioned on the cpu/gpu that is what causes RROD. the towel trick only overheats the system further. its urban legend and trust me it will catch up with you. RROD WILL be back.

also heatsink the ram and other 360 chip under dvd drive. make sure you screw the heatsink no clips. go to sites like llama and get the kit its well worth it to get a free 200 dollar unit:)

@RathalosMaster1 Ive fixed plenty of these with this problem ... you will have to take it apart and take the dvd rom apart and the eye that reads the games is stuck all the way back. the 2 metal pieces that the eye slides back and forth on you will need to get some kind of electronic grease I used Vaseline (seriously) it worked never had any more trouble...
