I just listened to the "Parker's Mood" album today for the first time. It is pulsating with life and soul. I had no idea who this guy was until today. Thank God I found this album. Kenny Barron, Herlin Riley, Rosario Bonaccorso,, and Flavio Boltro all fantastic on the recording. Thanks for keeping Parker's music alive!!!

@gabe487 Yeah I heard that immediately too. Cat has technique out the wazoo. I have his CD Parker's Mood. Good stuff. pushes the beat pretty good on a lot of the youtube vids, kinda like the Latin players do, but this cat is badass for sure. Not sure why he didn't play the melody right at the end of the phrase though..

En effet il utilise un petit "plan" de Michael Brecker à 2'28 mais je ne vois pas où est le problème ! Ce n'est pas interdit par la loi du jazz si ? Lol !! Le jazz n'est pas fait QUE d'improvisation, mais aussi de citations, et celle-là en est une excellente !
