In my opinion, a demonstration is an exhibition of skills - speed, accuracy, balance, coordination, power etc. Sharing knowledge - that happens in seminars and regular or private training... Thank you for the comment!
Excellent dummy form in the air. I was able to follow him as far as I know so far (to the start of section 5) and it looks awesome - fluid, smooth, powerful! He is rooted strongly, has tons of forward energy and crisp movements. His strikes and footwork are well synchronized for power. He is really putting the 'oomph' in there as he does it. Thanks for posting the video.
I think he refers to doing the dummy form in the air, like your Sifu in the above video, vs. actually doing it on the dummy which also aids with conditioning.
Some advanced Wing Chun men actually do the dummy form in the air, I'm sorry but isn't that what Donald is doing in the above video? It's not SNT, it's not Chum Kiu and it's not Biu Jee. It must be the dummy form done in the air, right? This is what "witzit" was reffering to below and what you DIDN'T understand.
I think I know what he's doing in a video that I edited and posted, don't u think? The comment coming from witzit is unclear - maybe because he's not using any signs (points, comas etc.) Your buddy was blocked for trying to much to show me what a smart a** he is.
Nope this Definitely isn't bak mei (white eyebrow) if you watch closely Mak is performing the Dummy Form from Wing Chun. Without a dummy - hard enough without a dummy but in the air? This man is a highly skilled practitioner for sure!
Hello, I am not from the school in Australia, though I studied in Australia a couple of years ago and I love the country. I am now learning Wing Chun in H.K:)

Great Wing Chun skill. Even though I do not know the secret fighting techniques of Wing Chun, somehow I can feel the fierce moves in actual combat.
Serriously very good video!

Yes, it's the dummy form shown without the restriction of the piece of wood. Extremely well done I might add.

Definately the Wooden Dummy form in the air. Not so much advanced, just can't be bothered to put the dummy on stage!

Not sure I understand what you mean...

Maybe one day he will allow us to make also a Chi Sao video public... Who knows?
Anyway, I will see it with my own eyes in August 2007, at the International Summercamp.
Thank you for your messages!

If he's this good doing Dummy Form in the air, I wonder how good he is at Chi Sao!
TheHaloSavager 5 years ago
He is skilled alright, he doesnt need the dummy aymore. He can visualise where the person is and where to hit.

And they say the Wing Chun forms are ugly! :P

That looks like bak mei kungfu. Did he mix the two
FreshNsexy 5 years ago
I think not. Since 1979 when he started, Wing Chun is the only style he had studied and practiced.
