Damn Roger is a beast. People didn't believe he could actually sing that high and that the track was just auto tuned but he shut all those people up in this performance.
Freddie Mercury..perfect voice, classically trained on the piano, songwriter ..designed Queens logo .Beautiful, shy sweet and .sexy..part of something so perfect. Brian May Guitar Master.. Brilliant song writter, Roger Taylor great on drums and that falsetto! John Deacon wrote some of Queen's most memorible songs and amazing bass player..This band. this music. pure genius I saw them 3 times "77 and "78 at MSG and "82 in meadowlands..so rare to find so much talent in one group
when editing all instruments, vocals, time, light and sound may be off a 1/16- a 1/2 a second, remember this was originally edited probably by hand (anologistically) not by computer (digitally) that's probably what you're seeing!!
@brianthebastard But bearing that in mind, can the sound and video of the beginning of a single word match up, but the end of that same word be way off? I'm hardly an editor so I really don't know. It seems that if the editing was off, the sound would have to come in early to end early. My apologies for my ignorance. And God Save The Queen.
I've had and loved this on video for probably 15 years now...one thing that has always concerned me is, in parts, sometimes the sound just didn't match up. Anybody else notice? Take a look at Freddie's mouth at around 2:24, when finishing the line "...lap of the Gods...". Again at 3:02. Dunno. Interesting.
Yeah like above they changed my life. I remember sitting in front of the telly taping this concert on an audio cassette, which I played and played till it broke, I spliced it and it kept playing for years. such a brilliant concert, I was only 13 and can remember it like yesterday.....God bless Freddie Mercury what a talent. xx

The people who don't want to remember Freddie Mercury don't think much of his music or of his God given talents. He was the best re-incarnation of a Rock Singer, Opera Singer, Mime, Pianist, Visual Artist, Theatrical Actor, Souful & Beautiful Man that ever walked the Earth. Get this: The great Rodger Taylor actually auditioned for Brian May's band on a SET OF BONGOS because his drum set was still waiting to be shipped to his university residence.
I'm just happy that people that don't pay much attention to the importance of roger's voice can actually see it here, but I have always been aware of it
This band is still very underrated! They're my absolute favorite band, Freddie is one of my favorite singers, & people don't realize Roger's amazing range! Listening to them growing up, I wasn't sure if that was Roger singing or Brian's guitar!
The higest falsetto in Borhap is Bb5, Freddie could hit as well: in fact he hit Bb5 in Wembley '86 and Rock in Rio '85. Freddie highest falsetto note is F6.
@ZeppelinClassics maybe in studio...but live Roger saved his ass in several high notes.Like in we are the champions.Freddie's voice is more beautifull, but seems he got tired after a few songs. But is amazing how they are in sync...at firstcis hard to notice that sometimes Roger singsxFreddie's high notes.Very well done.
I'm a straight guy (not that it matters) and I find myself hypnotized by Freddies Performances. Singing those wonderful songs and playing the piano so effectively.

In all my years of watching queen and seeing them live, I don't believe I have ever seen a live version of this song before (only In The Lap of The Gods Revisited). This is a fabulous find and a beautiful rendition. Freddie looks so young in this clip. I must get this DVD!!!

Damn, those are some pretty high notes Roger's singing here ! I can sing a A5 too, but I can't make it sound that good, plus I'm not sure I could do it without training. Pretty amazing voice !
@githyper tottally agree, he is singing just the same that on the record and We must considerer that the song was recorded on a multitrack recorder, I don't understand how he was able to do such a thing. He is a superb singer, but if you are in a band with freddie, It's difficult to be on his level, but roger and brian could. Anyway, a regular listener don't even know that roger sang ha ha
@eddielives100 If people had to choose who is the best individual drummer/singer ever than Roger would be the winner. There were great drummers in the rock world but how many of those great drummers also had a great voice? No one. The only one is Roger.
Same thing with Freddie. Who is the best individual songwriter/singer? People automatically choose McCartney or Lennon but they're wrong because they only had a good voice. The best one is Freddie because he had a great voice.
@Yo1969Yo You're right. Not a lot of drummers out there can also sing well. I particularly enjoy watching the video to "I'm In Love With My Car". I love Roger's voice.
