  • Visca el Barca!!!

  • Offensively, DEN will be fine. Offense was never a problem with the Broncos and DEN has one of the best O.C. in the NFL. But he's still young and learning on the job so that comes with some growing pains. But defensively, if Mike Nolan can help stop the run and let Bailey and Dawkins make plays in the secondary, then the defense should be much better than the last few seasons. DEN will compete no doubt, but no one will know anything till pads come on and we see football.

  • As far as the trade goes, since both players are pretty young, I'd say wait 3 years to see how Orton plays and what those draft picks do for DEN. But I think Denver got franchise tag value for a QB that has 3 years left on a manageable contract. DEN didnt have to pay cutler the $10 mil for the year to get the 1st round picks the Bears gave up. Bears maybe overpaid, but if Cutler was in the draft at this point, he would be the #1 overall pick no doubt. Plus CHI sucks at 1st round.

  • Montana said it best, "I'm not throwing darts at ballons; I'm throwing ballons at darts" Also, this is in response to all the Cutler haters, Jay never said ANYTHING bad about his teammates or the Broncos organization. He thanks Bowlen, the Broncos and said that he would do thing differently if he could do them again. But in all fairness, DEN did try to trade him. Jay just speeded up the process I think. Either way, it seems DEN got what it wanted.

  • Orton is a Safe QB, a good guy coming of the bench and a solid starter, no, he wont get you 4000 yards, but he will make safe passes. Eddie Royal will strugel, due to Ortons inability to throw deep, but, He will make safe throws, at the same time, expect your above agerage line to take a mojor hit. I have looked at alot of vid of cutler and he avoided alot of sacks himself by steping away from presure,

You guys got a good deal, its up to you to make your team better now.

  • im sorry man..but i disagree..I watched orton every game he played in the nfl. He is barely a decent QB. The only plus side he has is that he is a leader and he wont make a lot of mistakes. Orton stats were padded by having a great pass catching RB and a good/above average defense and the best special teams in the league. He cant throw a ball more than 20 yards. So expect alot of 2 yard bombs. All in all he isnt a play maker and you guys will definitely need to find a new Qb for the future.

  • Enough w/ Chicago's wonderful running game last season--they ranked 24th w/ a stud Matt Forte.

Denver, going 7 deep in the rotation, ranked 12th!

Orton will manage the team exceedingly well, and in the last 3 critical games I doubt that he would have gone 5int/2td like Jay-baby and then screamed at his teammates.

If we do well w/ the Bear's 2 #1s this trade could be like the Hershel Walker to Minnesota trade of this decade.

Cutler sure looks like the Jeff George of our era!

  • Dameed007 I think good receivers make QB's look good much more often than QB's make receivers look good. Kyle Orton was pretty good without any WR's and an inferior O-line. I think Orton will do well in your system, but we will have to see. I think this was a really good trade for the Broncos.

  • I agree with you spdfrk. More times than not, if you have 2good receivers, theyre going to make the QB look good.

Keep in mind that when Kurt Warner didn't have Torry Holt/Isaac Bruce or Larry Fitzgerald/Anquan Boldin on each side of him, that his career was falling apart.

Royal, Marshall, Scheffler, Stokley, they all have a great amount of talent. It wasnt Cutler that was getting wide open underneath like Royal and Stoke. It wasnt Cutler that was breaking all kinds of tackles after the catch.

  • i think that QBs make the WRs good like you said orton made our WRs look good for a part of the season. look at Mcnabb, and brady before he had moss, QBs make others around them better. i do think that its a good trade for both teams, and besides orton had a running game and great TEs on his side, Cutler had no running game so he had to carry the offense and dont forget that terrible denver D, regardless he made those recivers and he had to carry the team.

  • I don't agree with that man. Jay can make all the throws, no disputing that, but at the same time, there were a good number of times that our receivers would fight for extra yards, and more importantly, GET OPEN. It's a team effort. I think it goes BOTH ways, especially with the receivers that we have. Cutler made the receivers good, the receivers made Cutler good. I think Cutler is definitely going to need weapons around him, outside of the TE/RB position, in Chicago to succeed.

  • Without Brandon Marshall (a 6th round pick who was about to turn into a TE when he was a rookie) against the Raiders, Cutler had a big game. That was the game Eddie Royal emerged. I don't think a rookie just comes in and tears it up because his QB didn't have an effect. Cutler made some GREAT throws to Royal in that game. Royal came out of nowhere and I can see the same happening to Bennett. I KNOW Hester is going to tear it up. The offseason isn't even done yet. Being mobile helps WRs get open.

  • I'm very aware of who Brandon Marshall is, thank you very much. And besides, he was a 4th round pick and wasn't "about to turn into a TE". He was a project WR that worked out, phenomenally.

  • well hester is that deep threat and orton cant use him because of he doesnt have a strong arm, and i think people are underestimating the bears offense they can score some points

  • Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal both came out of nowhere. All this BS about the Bears having a bad O line is wrong. They were only bad at run blocking and ranked high in pass protection. The QB needs to get the ball to the WRs to see if they can catch the ball. Cuter is way better at this than Orton. Orton didn't like throwing to WRs because he wasn't confident in his arm, as he shouldn't have been. During his hot streak early, the WRs looked good. Why?

Because Orton was making good throws.

  • As far as everything else, do you not realize how open Royal was that entire game? He was the only player all year that I saw get open for a good amount of time on Asomugha. He's a great route runner is almost always open.

Did Cutler have an effect on that? Yes. Not denying that. I'm just saying that Eddie and B-Marsh will have success without Jay.

Not saying in any way that the Bears dont have weapons. Its just undeveloped potential and its a question mark. Cutler will do fine regardless tho.

  • Royal was covered by Hall most, if not all of that game. Whether he was open or not isn't what I am talking about. Bears wide receivers got open as well, but we had a QB who couldn't make the throws. Cutler made incredible throws to Royal that game.

  • I'm just saying that Cutler doesn't have developed weapons and that Cutler didn't make the receivers in Denver, I also will say that the receivers didn't make Cutler, it was a good combination, that's all I'm saying. Does that mean I'm saying Cutler sucks? NO! Cutler will do GOOD, but so will Orton. And I'm saying that Orton will be better in Denver than he was in Chicago because Orton WILL have developed weapons, and very good one's at that.

  • I'm also well aware that Hall was on Royal. But it wasn't the whole game. Kiffin made a change at halftime that put Asomugha on Royal. And I do recall specifically, he did have a catch on Asomugha, and he was covered by Nnamdi the majority of the 2nd half.

And again, congratulations, I never said anything bad about Cutler. I actually said he'd be fine, why do you continue to argue?

  • Kyle Orton won 10 games as a rookie in 2005 cuz the bears had a sick nasty defense that year that bailed his ass out. go look at the stats 2005. He was benched mid game against the falcons for Rex grossman. I think your overestimating Ortons "leadership". Everyone knows the Bears D leads that team.

  • What about last year when the Bears had the 21st ranked defense and the Bears still went 9-7?

I know that they had Forte, but Orton wasn't able to showcase what he truly is because the Bears offense is run oriented. Establish success through the run. Orton just worked with what he had, and did his job.

  • No watch Bears games. Orton stares down receivers like a mofo (commentators have even said this during games) and constantly missed the receivers who were really open. He also didn't have any accuracy past 15 yards. He's not going to be winning games with his arm, but he won't be losing them either. He will be frustrating at times. While the Bears D was 21st (90% due to coaching), they still forced almost 3 times as many turnovers as the Broncos. They were on the field more than any D in the NFL

  • Kyle Orton with a 29th ranked D = 3-13!

  • Kyle Orton is a leader and is with a team gearing to groom a QB. The Press is a feeding frenzy over Cutler, Orton might have something to prove, and thats always good for a player. I think Denver will be dangers next year. So will my Bolts. Chiefs lost a lot last year, but they were nailbiters, now they've got Cassel. Raiders, they plain suck.

  • I 4 one am sick and tired of all these "SO CALLED" bronco fans pissing and moaning over Cutler being traded. What has Cutler actually done for the Broncos other than lead them 2 a below .500 record as a starter, & yes I know you all r going 2 say well we had one of the worst defenses in the history of the NFL..SO WHAT the Cardinals defense was FAR from great last year and Warner led them 2 the playoffs. How can you not be excited about the future of the Broncos I 4 one am backing Mcdaniels 100%.

  • There are 3 losers to this Cutler Saga. Cutler himself (for whining and actually saying later "I don't want to be traded" and flip flopping), Pat Bowlen for doing nothing about the communication between Josh McDaniels, and of course McDaniels himself for wanting to trade for Matt Cassel. He lied to Cutler and they couldn't trust each other from there on out. Orton is a leader though. all 32 teams shoudl have optimism for next season. I believe every year as a Raiders fan.

  • I still think this is an absolute horrible trade. I have been shaking my head all day. McDaniels has made the Broncos a much worse team then when he got here. I can't stand this guy. If adding a lot of 1st rd picks was the way to win the Lions would win the superbowl every year. McDoogle has missed on every decision he has made thus far I doubt he'll do any better with the draft. The real sad part is Bowlen is letting it happen. . .

  • Hey man don't even sweat it. Trust me, I know the feeling....When Jason Williams was traded from the Sacramento Kings to the Memphis Grizzles back in 2001 I was FUCKING PISSED. I cried like a little bitch (I was 13 at the time haha).

But yeah man, I know you were pissed and pretty emo at the moment. It's all good.

  • and lol @ Moreno. That'd be interesting. Everyone would freak and be like WTF because he didn't get defense. But I doubt we will get Moreno. I see us getting D with those 2 picks. But who knows. I've been wrong on almost everything so far lol. And LOL.. now you say Orton is alright. I think with our offense though most QBs can succeed. Hopefully thats true.

  • and the funny thing is that you now have Moreno lmao i think you guys may have a nice running game in the future

    Good luck and GO BEARS!!

  • Damn your vids are so hard to watch lol. Its like those movies where someone is thinking while theres a voice in the background lol.. but JDinSactown dont care probably .. He tried to make you mad anyways. He got his wish. Not every team can have a great QB like Alex Smith or Shaun Hill :( .. But good stuff ... You never know.. in the long run.. this trade could be good for us.. or could ruin us for years :( .. I'm sad to see Jay gone but its a business :( .. Dawkins said it best.

  • I dont really know what the broncos are doing anymore. This trade was pretty limp dick, I feel that the trade with the browns would be the most logical. We should have just took the 2 first rd picks and then pick a qb in the draft. I dont know, I wouldn't be surprised if the broncos pick a left tackle, and a rb with those 2 fist round draft picks. lmao! I know that sounds stupid, but in this offseason I wouldn't be phased at all... :(

Btw Plummer didnt suck! his career with denver was 40-18

  • Man if you watch my video... which no one does anymore lol... I lost all respect for my denver broncos... like I said this is not how a franchise works you do not trade away players like Cutler... and not to mention I am starting to hear we may trade tony and hillis... WTF!?.... dude what happend to our team that we can smile and be proud of... its like getting dropped of and saying... "This is not my street"....cutler could of ended it to if he showed up the next day... he lied has well

  • i dont think we would go rb with one of those picks cause we just brought in 3 new rb's

  • I will ride with the Broncos regardless but I still think this is a horrible trade and I think you're being a bit too optimistic. Which isn't really a bad idea. I do like your mentioning of Knowshown Moreno though. But it seems to me this Broncos front office has only made bad choices in the past few months so it probably wont happen . . .

  • I truly feel bad for dawkins, an older player who is prob. wondering if this was a good idea to sign. I think this draft is very important for denver. Lets see if McD is really as good as he is kinda jumping out to be. McD is a SYSTEM coach/offense. (see john Gurden) You can really throw someone into a system and get success. You as fans cant expect #2 offense,, cause its not gonna happen.

  • Ive thought about it too. As of now, Chicago got the better end of the deal. 3-4 years from now, Denver could get it. It's pretty hard not to succeed in our offense, with the line we got. We could get moreno round 1, even though i want defense no my call though. I'd like to go Raji/Jackson if raji falls. He's a leader, not gonna be as godo as Jay, obviousally. Its gonna be sad watching jay put on chicago jersey. I'll watch the PC tommorow and see it. I feel bad for dawkins..

  • Orton wasnt bad. I mean he did have shitty receivers. maybe he will work well with our receivers. i was a fan of him until his injury. I cant wait to see him in action.

  • Hope your right

  • me too

  • i hope your right.........................

  • yo man whats your personal opinion on this...

I was thinking if I was a Broncos fan I would have rather seen the same deal but with Jason Cambell or even Vince Young. I don't know if the Titans woulda made the move but if you coulda made the same move for Vince I think he coulda brought more to the table than Orton (even though he hasn't looked all too good just yet)
