  • no thrust vector control, F22 is better

  • @stmbaah

    ROFL

First make sure F-22 is operable then worry about the thrust vector.

  • Maybe this plane was more expensive to produce than the F22. Maybe it was more prone to technical/operational problems than the F22 (which has a ton). Maybe lockheed simply paid officials more in bribes. Whatever the reason, this will remain a most beautiful plane. I wonder how long before a multi-millionaire can buy the plans from Northrop and have one made for him/herself (de-militarized, ofc). I'm guessing a good few decades, at least.

  • Looks very much like Ace Combats assault horizons PAK FA

  • Why did the US Government pick the Raptor over this?

  • @ToonandBBfan

    Bribes.

  • « Funny how the Chinese and Russian stealth planes are a copy of this design and not the Raptor. »

  • @philoposos i see a bit of both in those designs.

  • Damn it. If they're not going to put this plane into active service, at the very least, fly them in air shows. I for one would LOVE to see that.

  • yf23 looks a lot cooler than the f22...

  • All I can say is America lost out on a real winner. The YF-23 is a direct descendant, and air-to-air combat adaptation of, the B-2 spirit. NG produced the best of the best when they made the B-2, and the F-23 was the fighter equivalent, the epitome of specialization. The focus of the ATF was stealth, speed, and range, and the F-23 had all of it. F-22 was second in all those except agility, but only by a slight margin, plus I'm sure NG could've incorporated thrust vectoring in later models...

  • The combat radius was almost TWICE that of the F-22, the thrust-weight was higher, all-aspect stealth was much higher and if you notice the distinct engine nacelles; that's very important, essentially what NG were doing was incorporating the engine ducts from the very successful B-2 which had unbeatable all-aspect stealth. Also the rudders help to shield the heat from nearly every direction...really this plane was ingenious in every concievable way. And it was just the prototype.

  • This baby was the real deal. Nevermind maneuverability, it was already well beyond the performance of any aircraft out there, and beat the agility qualifications of the test WITHOUT thrust vectoring, which the F-22 needed.

That's outside the point though, when it comes to stealth, this is it. If stealth, range, and the silent kill are your goal, this is the real deal, the silent killer, the sniper. This would've defended America AND the fleet from hundreds of miles out.

  • @Spjungen if it's really the better fighter, i wouldn't be surprised if there's a few in active service behind the curtain of f22 publicity. never show your enemy all your cards.

  • hmmmm. no thrust vectoring on the YF-23, if I'm not mistaken I believe the 2 planes used the same engines, and prove the maitenence was more? they have to come up with some BS to choose a winner and they did, at least that's the way I see it, YF-23 was stealthier & faster and that's a fact, the YF-23 top speed is still classified, damn lobbiest picked the winner between the YF-22 and the YF-23 just shoving cash into voters pockets, I wish the Navy would have bought the YF-23 too bad.

  • @animalmother4 there is a problem with that statement, the F-35 is Navy not Air Force

  • Guys, there's a few reasons why they chose the F-22 over this. The main reason is thrust vectoring, which is super important to modern aircraft, the F-22 needed it. Also, the YF-23 was much more expensive and needed much more maitenence, as well as the risks during testing were greater. Though it was much faster, and it had better stability they needed the f-22 over it.

  • it looks a lot like the sr-71 blackbird

  • ufo?

  • well they can't keep fuckin' around no more china and russia are coming up with way better crap than what they're making now

  • I like this better than F 22. I think the US air force chose the conventional design to reduce costs and risks.

  • F-22 is 10 times better.

  • @MrZw69 no...believe it or not F-23 was better but for that how much is he better, it's more expensive...F-23 would be much more expensive than F-22 and we all know that F-22 is already very expensive...but in air...F-23 would catch the win ;)

  • that is sexy

  • A plane that looks good will fly good? Very persuading statement.

  • I have a feeling Boeing will use the parameters of this plane to help them develop a Gen 6th plane within 10 years IF larger problems arise with the F-35.

  • Anyone who feels the need to pull out Retard in an Internet debate is only foreshadowing the inevitable "E-Fighting is like the Special Olympics, even if you win you're still retarded"

That plane is quite sexy, but I'm not a fan of the Delta wing or whatever that's called.

  • 2:29 - "...or recorded on board in a magnetic tape system that's on the airplane."

Magnetic tape....it's been a while since 1990 eh?

  • the only reason why they chose the f-22 raptor is because even though there are tons of similarities the f-22 had thrust vectoring which gave away the black widow

  • I have heard this as true apparently they pushed the starfighter on Germany instead of a British fighter found out later that Lockheed was bribing German politicians. The starfighter was a very dangerous plane. Hope they enjoyed the money while young men were dying in the starfighter

  • That is one stunningly beautiful airplane.

  • Apparently the 23 was actually stealthier and had a higher max speed than the 22, but was less agile...I guess it's something of a tactical decision.

  • u.s government will kill anything!! Avro Aero, allready an example.... Who's next?

  • @75scotland The Avro Arrow was a Canadian aircraft (like a mig25). And yes, the Canadian govt killed it.

I remember seeing the yf23 back in the day and it was so futuristic for its time. Funny how the Chinese and Russian stealth planes are a copy of this design and not the Raptor.

  • If Batman was in charge of the Air Force, there'd be an F-23 today, not an F-22.

  • @kozmon0t

LOL..... I am Batman....... well Bat..... hehehe..... you are right though he would have picked the F-23!

  • lol i think f-22 was good choice. now americans are whining about how expensive f-22 is, yf-23 is bound to cost more in maintenance.

  • In the Air Force fly-off competition, the Yf-23 thrashed the YF-22 in ALL categories, except one: the YF-23 did not have vectored thrust...but it was FASTER, could carry a heavier WEAPONS LOAD; was STEALTHIER, had greater RANGE, yet the YF-22 won . . . go figure.

I only hope the -23 is being put to good use in some very black program...

  • If you like the YF23 as I do, here are some cool new links:

    Website: yf23fighter (dot) com

Youtube: search "YF23 Black Widow II stealth fighter jet ATF”

Facebook: search “Yf-23 Black Widow II Stealth Fighter Doc”

  • This looks exactly like the SU t50 pakfa... lol now i know where they got that design

  • @eduardo742 What are you talking about the PAK FA looks like the F-22 not the YF-23.

  • @eduardo742 Are you joking or are you just retarded? They look nothing alike...

  • If I could make babies with an airplane...

  • Well when i played ace combat i was trying to find the best aircraft. When i saw this i was stunnned at its stats but nice at the same time :)

  • the british government should pay northrop to produce the f23 for them as a long range stealthy bomber and nuclear deterrent just like the f111

  • Northrop got screw'd on the F-23 BIG TIME! if it wasn't for the Navy needing a new plane after the Airforce picked the YF-16 over the YF-17--> aka F-18 after many changes for Navy requirements Northrop would have been screw'd again, on a hand shake agreement Northrop gave McDonald Douglas the bllue prints and the F-18 was born! and as you can see it turned out to be a KILLER fn plane! not to say the F-16 is a bad plane at all, the F-16 and F-18 both deserved to be built.

  • @AV8RRRR check your facts f/a-18 hornets are boeing duh!

  • @SkyHawk024 - Really? WTF... I worked for Northrop on the F-18 and the B-2 ,if you can read I said the F-18 came from the YF-17 I know my facts.

  • @AV8RRRR That`s right!

  • @SkyHawk024 - Yes..... It's a Boeing F/A-18, right after they changed the name on the F/A-18 facility from McDonald Douglas to Boeing, after they bought them out, so I'll give you that much, look up the "Northrop YF-17" and tell me that is not a F/A-18 airframe.

  • Hell no is what I said to myself when they picked the F-22 over the F-23! and that was after Northrop built and flew the F-23 with out any problems! meanwhile Lockheed drop'd 1 of the F-22's while moving it from a tool or something like that and had to use it for a radar model, then the remaining F-22 caught on fire during slow speed taxi runs! THIS WAS THE RED FLAG!! hello!!! it was a sign to pick the F-23! then there are all the problems with the F-22 from over budget and now oxygen system!

  • The YF-23 is stealthier, faster, better range, better payload, more aerodynamic, very low drag compared to the F-22.It was an obvious choice.I'd choose pilot protection over agility.

  • HEck this plane got even a boooty, how come it was declined?

  • let's be honest. F-22 is lot more sexier than this plane. :D

  • @denix2006

Hell NO! the YF23 looks more dangerous then the F22.

  • wata plane brah

  • they shulda picked the yf 23

  • The yf-23 was stealthier and faster than the yf-22, but isn't as agile. It's a fair exchange!

  • This always reminds me of the YF-22 on Macross Plus, but i agree its such a beautiful plane design and ahead of its time

  • YF 23 would eat a Craptor for breakfast, and leave some over for lunch :o)

  • the yf-23 is cooler than an f22 do we need more reason than that?

  • Lockheed has major government lobby power. Many great vehicles were lost because of Lockheed. Lockheed can make a flying "brick" and they pay the right people in government and win the contract. Right now Lockheed is trying to ram Ares1 down our throats and SpaceX has a much better vehicle with Falcon9. Also, we all lost out when Lockheed won the X-33 contract and screwed us out of the full size version of the Delta Clipper by McDonald Douglas.

  • @ti994apc

Well said. Lockheed Martin IS the largest defense contractor in the U.S. And you don't become the largest member of the military industrial complex by designing and building weapons better than your competitors'. You become the biggest by having the best and the most polical lobbiest that money can buy.

  • the reason the yf-22 was chosen was because it was cheaper but also it was more agile.

but now the yf-23 sits in a museum.

  • @plushcartoon it was cheaper on paper, Lockheed martin fucked the U.S when the operational costs of the F-22 went up past the estimated YF-23, they are doing the same with the F-35. Lockheed martin needs to be healed accountable.

  • @Baseshocks what can the gov do now though? audit Lockeheed? that's not going to happen.

the USAF picked the f-22 for more than financial reasons tho.

  • THAT THING IS SCARY BADASS! rUSSIA UNVEILED THEIR STEALTH TODAY AND THIS PLANE MAKES IT LOOK LIKE A WALMART TOY!

  • well the reason the yf 23 didnt make it to production the motherfucker chuck norris said no he blocked the production son of bitch i think he doesnt like USA been on the top i heard he went to china right after the yf 23 made its first flight hummmmm makes you wonder . FUCKING CHUCK NORRIS .

  • @Neptune189888 the YF-22 did not win because it was better but instead, it won because it cost less to build

  • @therumble32 No. It won because it was built in Sen. Sam Nunn's backyard. It was a terrible choice. The F-23 could eat Raptors for lunch. It was faster, MUCH more stealthy, and had cooled exhaust ducts. To the point that heat-seekers had a hard time locking on to it.

  • @therumble32 True on projected costs. But, Lockheed ALWAYS under estimates the actual cost. The F-22 ended costed a lot more. Anything Lockheed makes, will end up costing double or triple that they say its going to cost.

  • Just think... that was built 20 years ago now. Imagne what we could- or have built since?? And the Chinese are all proud of their lil airplane.... get a grip people.

  • @kawi1167 type in Falcon HTV-2 into the search bar to find out what the US is looking at now. Los Angeles to New York in 12 minutes anyone?

  • yf is a prototyp it give 2 yets of them one in white one in black

the usa has search new stealth figther and it stand f-22 agains yf-23 the f-22 win beacause its little better

  • @aarrmmeenndd100 they designed the f 35 to take off and land vertically, you cant do that with the same design as the f-22 or yf-23. think of the f-35 as an improved harrier.

  • Some say the YF 23 was a beautiful aircraft that had greater range than the YF22

and that Lockheed Martin tried to strangle it in its crib

All that we know is, it was called the Stig... ahem I mean the Black Widow

  • @dmaster576 i love top gear ;)

  • I sure hope offshoot agencies such as "skunkworks" people or decision makers would somehow choose to pick up on such a unique example on d sideline, but then who am I kidding, F-22 itself is essentially Lockheed-Martin peoples' prodigal child.quipped...

  • D' US dod should've in d very first place chosen tis f-23 w/ its unique all moving vertical tailplane & I suppose an even larger internal storage instead of d current f-22, All tis now need is further research into a Russian comparable multidimentional thrust-vectoring nozzle, in place of d present inefficient "parrot-beak" liked exhaust. A new flagship Fjet must be made optimised w/ d highest possible speed outpacing f-15 but 've to 've spectacular manvbt. comparable to d likes of super Flanker

  • holy shit the yf-23 is real holy shit

  • YF-23 must be rebuild

this is "what the stealth is"

  • now who the fuck is responsible for choosing f22

  • @NosferatuAaacaado They chose the F-22 because it was cheaper and they weren't willing to pay extra for the better plane when the F-22 was already far more advanced than the next best plane by any other country. In fact they're discontinuing production of the Raptor and going with a cheaper multi-purpose version in the future. imo I think the Black Widow looks sick.

  • @NosferatuAaacaado Money and backhand deals make the world go round unfortunately… Would explain why the air force refused to release the reasons for choosing the F22 over the F23? Then again maybe the reason for choosing it was legit and they didn’t release their reasons because of security fears but who every really knows why? Unless there’s someone from the air force/ defence industry here that knows… if so don’t keep us in the dark

  • @dmaster576 sigh... now that's what you get for signing contracts with general dynamics and the like.

    Fuck them.

  • Comment removed

  • Our T-50 does seem to resemble the f-23, especially in wingspan department (pretty obvious at 2:00) - a glaring proof that f-23 had a better frame than those lockheed cunts could have ever come up with.

  • @NosferatuAaacaado Uhm the USAF lol

  • @NosferatuAaacaado The checkbook.

  • @NosferatuAaacaado well the Air Force. It all depends on what the company will offer with the contract.

  • Comment removed

  • @NosferatuAaacaado the f22 was better in dog fighting type. As the pak fa will be better the f22 was a better choice.

  • @starknight97 Fighters hardly dog fight anymore they shoot each other down from miles away, the YF-23 was a much better plane across the board except thrust vectoring.

  • @thgoat68 yes and your forgetting 2x5th gen plans going at at it will be on top of each other before they see the other. TV is huge in a dog fight and the YF23 lacked speed at mach 2.3 vs f22 mack 2.5. then the f22 had a higher trunaround rate after using it payload.

  • @starknight97 You are wrong about speed, the 23 was faster, carried a bigger payload had a longer range, was stealther, Beat the 22 in everything but in manuvers using the vectored exhaust. Both 22s crashed during the flyoffs. The main reason it was chosen, it was cheaper. You get what you pay for, can't get a Cadilac for Ford prices. Trust me I know, I worked on the YF-23 when it was built.

  • @thgoat68 Wow you just making crap up now. Speed the f22 had it. Early engine the yf23 was a few km faster but after the new prototype Pratt & Whitney F119-PW-100. the yf23 lost out. weapons you just wrong the yf22 carries 6x aim-120 & 2xAIM-9 Sidewinder. the yf23 carried 4x aim-120 and 2xAIM-9 Sidewinder. yes the f22 did crash and the reason give must worked though the yf22 was ahead in tests of the yf23 at the time giving a chance to recover.

  • @starknight97 LOL, who's making the shit up? Looks like you're making real shit up...rofl.

    Here's the numbers:

    YF-22: mach 1.58 (GE) mach 1.43 (P&W)

    YF-23: mach 1.64 (GE) mach 1.48 (P&W)

The YF-23 wasn't just few km faster, bum. By the time of the first ATF testing phase, the YF-23 was much faster, had better RAM and cross section for stealth. It also would have had more payload capability, but that was never implemented, because it was never demanded at that testing phase.

  • @mugengaia what f up numbers are though top speed of the yf22 with the GE was mach 2.2(2,335 km/h) yf23 was mach2.2+(2,655+ km/h). Retard you way of and slow.Yes it was better stealth we said that 3 or 4 times. i spelled out what they carried for you already look bellow. The f22 now is mach 2.5 the yf23 never got to that speed becuase she couldn't fit that big of engines in her. Then as far as the cost over runs and subcontracting to diffident states the f23 would have been the same do to politics

  • @mugengaia Oh maybe your considering super cruise speeds in that case you got them wrong too the yf22 was 1,704 km/h yf23 was 1,706 km/h.

  • @starknight97

    YF-22: mach 1.58 (GE) mach 1.43 (P&W)

    YF-23: mach 1.64 (GE) mach 1.48 (P&W)

These are the actual supercruise numbers retard, during the ATF competition.

    YF-22 PAV-1: mach 1.58 (GE), YF-22 PAV-2:mach 1.43 (P&W)

We are comparing the exact figures from the ATF testing you dumbfuck. Where did you pull your numbers out of? Your ass?

Why don't you do some research and fine me some sources to hold your numbers true in relation to the ATF testing results.

  • @starknight97 you're also wrong on top speed of PAV-1 and PAV-2 variations of the YF-22 and YF-23 models during testing you dumbfuck.

    YF-23: Mach 2.2+ (1,650+ mph, 2,655+ km/h) at altitude

    YF-22: Mach 2.2 (1,260 knots, 1,450 mph, 2,335 km/h) (with afterburners)

Does it need to be highlighted that YF-23 didn't need afterburners.

Please get me some factual sources with credible information, instead of pulling them out your ass. We're talking about ATF models fucktard, not F22s.

  • @mugengaia yeah i call bs on that no the yf23 never had a super cruise of more then mach 1.6. enough said Archaea microbe.

  • @starknight97

Also, the YF-23 had better maneuverability at supercruise and afterburner. Even the Lockheed engineers admitted that aerodynamic surface control was more efficient in maneuverability at supersonic speeds than thrust vectoring.

Northrop could have added thrust vectoring to YF-23 and make some structural changes, but they argued it would just cost more for minimal maneuverability improvements.

If anything, Skunksworks fked up with estimates on new RAM and its weight.

  • @mugengaia who fight super sonic minus BVR. what matter is high trust at low speeds to perform high g turns something you can't do flying mach 2.2+. Then though structural changes would have changed everything. it's true Lockheed rip off martin has been ripping off the us.s but so has everyone else. the time of the f15 is a time before that when they tried to give you what you paid for. then yes their is corruption inside the us.s military too look up the dragon skin body armor.

  • @starknight97 Who know if it was Lockheed's intention to lie about the estimate of the improved RAM to win that contract, nevertheless they already had more than enough lobbying power and it wasn't going to be the first time Northrop got screwed over by the USAF, much like the Tacit Blue.

That 120mil per F-22 estimate turned out to be a big pile of shit, and the RAM needed for better stealth capability due to poor cross section of YF-22 turned out to be billions in R&D and implementation.

  • @starknight97 And any intelligent person doesn't need to be reminded what an utter politicial failure YF-22 turned out to be as a finalized F-22.

It took the YF-22 a rediculous record of 15 years to get into service as F-22, compared to the 3 years it took the F15.

The F-22 has practically no similar components or avionics system from the originial YF-22 prototype, which is the result of billions and billions wasted into R&D and implementation, which the USAF never foresaw.

  • @thgoat68 then no you don't get what you pay for and the f22 and f35 is a sample of that. They never even finished working out the bugs for production on even the last 1 built this year. yet she by the most costly jet fighter ever built.

  • I prefer YF-23 to F-22 for Radical design.

  • This Aircraft looks better than the F-22, and from what I saw It flies better, those pilots where flying with A/B on and this without and those guys couldn't keep. This can hold off an SU-37 well.

  • i just saw and said...oh gawd the chinese got it with their j-20

  • Looks like a flying squierel.

  • This thing is surreal.

The Russians would've had a REALLY unique plane if they base-lined their design off of the F23 "widow" rather than the raptor.

  • @aarrmmeenndd100 I understand you, but that fat look is necessary. It has to do with cooling the aircraft, etc. That way it improves it's stealth, and stealth is what is really important today where aiming systems are getting accurate at a fast rate.

  • This is what America makes in its free-time.

  • @aarrmmeenndd100 The F-22 is more advanced than what you read on the internet, trust me on this.

  • @aarrmmeenndd100 don't judge the f-35, it's actually among the top, probably second to f-22. F-35 relies on technology and advance aiming and tracking systems, which makes it superior without the need of high maneuverability. It's also an affordable aircraft, which is probably one of the most important reasons it's being produced.

  • "might never be made in large numbers"? It never will.

  • such unique designed frame, such a waste they discontinued, i really think this airplane has potential.

  • That birdy made widow out of MD & Loc budget

  • Gorgeous plane but evidently not gorgeous enough. The F-22 Raptor took the gold. This plane fades into history. A real shame.

  • nice part of USA secret black budget

  • The US was smart for choosing the f 22 raptor.Because with all these stealth fighters other countrys are TRYING to come up with hah its going to go back to dogfighting.

  • i think this looks 3 times better than the Fß22

  • That's a bad bitch!!!!

  • Great video, thanks for posting!! The plane really does look great in person.

  • the only reason the f-22 was chosen over the f-23 was a last second back door deal between the department of defence and lockheed martin were lockheed would guarantee the price on the f-22 and then cut them a better price on the f-35 they were developing.since then lockheed has went back on the deal as the price on the f-22 has skyrocketed and thats why the extra money for the f-22 just got shot down in congress

  • Wow! Nice plane. I would have loved to see one of these bomb the crap out of my hometown.

  • does this plane have vector thrust?

  • @mylegs123 Yes, see the anglular exhaust ports?

  • @mylegs123 No. It has a similar setup to the B-2 spirit. The bottom of the afterburner channel extends well outside the rear boundary of the engines and is coated with ablative, heat resistant tiles (same used by the space shuttle). The extended panel served to block IR emmissions from ground view. I'm fairly sure that it also had cold air blending. These features made it impractical to install thrust vectoring.

  • BILLION DOLLAR PIECE OF SHIT

  • why did america dont choose yf-23?

  • @razor11079 Money. Besides, the 22 is still 5x better than anthing else in the world for air superiority. Going the extra mile for the 23, despite its awesomeness, is just excessively outpacing anything you'll deal with for the next 40 years.

  • @ExAstris37 ok tnx

  • the AF could still use them for testing. I've heard a lot of bads thing about the 35 and 22.

  • Why don't we see this fighter jet join any operations? is it experimental?

  • @Kafrotox It was experimental. 2 were made (nicknamed "Black Widow 2" and "Grey Ghost"), it lost the competition for a new fighter to the YF-22 (F-22)

  • 0:48

No wonder it lost... in order to get it off the ground, you have to apply ass-dick.

  • @N37BU6 the reason it lost was because the competition was rigged from the start in favour of the raptor, despite the yf 23 being superior

  • @N37BU6 he said "aft-stick", you fool. the reason it lost to the raptor was because the competition was rigged in favour of the raptor from the start.

  • @captaingradetwo

Learn how to spot a joke, you social retard.

  • "Why not instead take solace in the fact that the F-22 benefited from lessons learned from BOTH proposals?"

Why? Because the YF-23 didn't crash, twice! Now, I will admit that the F-22 is an outstanding aircraft, but at a very steep price point. The whole reason why the production was cancelled.

  • fuck I wished the USN picked up the YF23 like how the F16 was adopted by USAF .

and reject YF17 became F/A 18 adopted by USNavy.

    Who win F22, F23, X-32, F-35 vs PAKFA/Sukoi T50 and J20.

  • they dont understans

  • First of all, I am russian. I dont know should you afraid of PAK FA or not, i dont care about this, but... I know one thing: it is a pity what this beautiful bird was "murdered" by stupid people. It deserves to live and it is a fact.

  • Aww man, the F-23 should have won the competition, if only for its awesome looks. :(

  • All these modern day aircraft suck. The real stuff is birds with guns strapped to them.

  • It has a BIG BOOTY!!

  • this thing was actually more stealth, and faster than the f22, but the military went with the raptor because it was more agile

  • @kterris1

No they went with the raptor because it was cheaper. And even then we have no been able to buy as much as originally planned because we are bankrupt...

  • @celderian it was cheaper, but it was more agile than the YF 23

  • this should have been the replacement for the Navy F14.

  • i have a hard time believing that the US hasn't done anything with this .

  • The Chines have copyed this design

  • @Thetrutv

Let them try to copy the jet engines required to power the plane ... I doubt they will get far.

  • if northrop's b2 bomber was good imagine this fighter jet if it was chosen

  • @VictorIndiaDeltaAlfa Pak FA is a cheap low production Multi Role fighter. Not a Air Domincance fighter. J-20 alot of speculation is on that. So we've ramped up our F-22 production again (Making new variants). Not to mention the many Black Jets (Secret Jets) we own which no one knows about.

PAK FA is nothing to worry about.

J-20 might be, who knows. But with US being ahead of all avionics since the 1960's I'm not sweating it. :D

  • @AdverbAdjective how do you know? pak fa is stil not operational and a lot of information about it is still clasified. so how would anyone know which is better? american propaganda on its best...

  • all of you know that this plane is more stealthy than the F-22....the US made a big mistake on producing it

  • @AdverbAdjective: You are the first Human i've ever seen on YouTube which has the same opinion like me, no its not a Opinion, it's a Fact! The Russian's & Chinese are one, if not two decades behind the US.

The chinese J-20 will be ready in 15 years - 2011+15=2026

Even 2026 the F-22 will be more effective, even the Pilots of the USAF are better & more trained.

They have enough money to develope new Planes. Wait until AHFM ( Alternate High Frequency Material ) is on the F-22 ( Black Stealth )

  • @TankNutJohn89 mistake-j-20 is ready now. at least they didnt have to destroy cockpit as they did on raptor :)

  • @VictorIndiaDeltaAlfa: It isn't ready, it has just done it's Maiden Flight.

It doesnt have an Radar, and can't carry weapons yet. The 2 J-20 are just Prototypes,

the Jet have a long way to be Combat Ready, US Experts say, that would be in 10-15 Years.

  • @TankNutJohn89 P.S. I'm from Russia ;)

  • @MrIhatespork: Nice, it is very cold there?

  • @TankNutJohn89 Yes lol.

My Friend PAK FA is nothing to fret about. Neither is J-20.

Give me a passport to America please :)

    Long live USA

  • @MrIhatespork GYAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA...

NICE ONE RETARD...The other one with the donkey going to Arctica...do you heard it?

  • I live in Australia and our defence force has asked for eather the F-22 or the F-23 to replace out F/A 18 Hornet fleet (YF-23 is the X-Plane name) and both planes are blocked by the US senate and the state department under I.T.A.R (Internatinal Trafic in Arms Regulations) NOT FOR EXPORT.

So for now we have Opted to replace our F-111's with Super Hornets but a replacement for out main fighter is still undisided.

The F-35 is NOT an upgrade for a main fighter. we are now looking at the New F-15 SE.
