All these comments about the childbirth scene being horrific. I hate to break it to all these preteen girls and boys but childbirth in real life is ALWAYS horrific. We try hard to make it beautiful and painless but it is bloody, mucousy, stretchy, screamy, horrific for a few hours at least. It's why your Mamma deserves some respect! Maybe you should consider waiting for a while to try it. yourself. :)

I've given birth to 2 children who were both in rooms with equip at "go" in case of emergency c-section. I was told, "we can have you under in 60secs & the baby out 90secs later." Of course, this was b/c both were high-risk that left me on bed-rest from 1st trimester thru delivery & many hospital trips & stays in btw. I can't wait to see the movie! It's my birthday present - 10days early from DH w/our 14yo w/me. Btw,1st born in OR & 2nd n birth rm w/tools nearby/10yrs lotta advances. Cant wait!

I think it should be rated R because of the specific nature of many scenes. If we play it out just as the book does, a visual of each of these often depicts more drama, intense graphics and emotions. However, for those who were able to read the novel at a young age, I really think R-rated movies won't kill you, but your parents may not want that type of stuff to be played out as "normal".

Bella named her renesme. Simply combining both of their moms names.

You have no human needs (drinking, eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom, breathing, etc) except "drinking" blood. So here's my question: if your body stops functioning, how did Edward get Bella pregnant? I mean 1) his body should have stopped functioning and 2) don't you think that after 90 years, the sperms should've died already? ?____?

As for vampires, the book says that male vampires can still get women pregnant but that female vampires cannot be pregnant because their womb cannot grow... or something to that effect

the birth part in the book was AMASING so they got to make it good to top/match the book. (i mean amasing coz of all the pain/emotion that was going on NOT the actuall birthsecne as in a bloody baby and a naked bella ) all she could feel eas burning and edward was enjecting her with his venom while jacob gives her CPR. they do all the can to help her make it thorgh and it works and the chapter/book(s) are FANTASTIC.
