I dont get why you want to put all the white edge pieces around the yellow center, why not just put the white edge pieces around the white center.... and while you are at it, put them in the right order... this is the easiest part of solving the whole cube, if people are not getting this bit then they are gonna have no hope with the rest of the solution!!!! so why make it so complicated?

I never have set the cross edges on the opposite side first. I always just place them... saves me half the steps. Placing them on your top first just adds un-needed steps when you can just place them on your bottom side in the right place first.

i have never see it done this way, personally, i find it faster to just put the white pieces in the white center immediately, not put them arounf yellow, but a creative way to do it though you have, bravo for that

I spent all day playing with the cube and I can definitely say I can solve it now. I never solved the cube with the cross like that(center being a different color then the edges, they are always the same color, all of them). I used to have difficulty with the scenario at 6:21 where the green is at the top and right below it is the white and then the green being the center, just like in ur movie at 6:21 I find the algorithm M' U M' U M' U M' U to be very helpful now, and if you do it fast enough, it takes probably faster then figuring out another way. Just a thought. Good vid!

And that's holding it where you shift the cube TOP layer(including the whole cube) 90 degrees to the left and then FRONT cube layer(including the whole cube) shifts 90 degrees FORWARD then performing the algorithm M' U M' U M' U M' U. Would be a good tip for all cubers :p

M in the Algorithms is for Middle. Its the Middle layer of the cube. And actually its M' not M. M' means M inverted/prime. M is just M. I can always post like a tutorial for that. i guess. Just in case if it doesn't make sense. PM me If you still don't get it.

This is Step 1. I think you're referring to step 2. You have to match each corner piece (make sure white is on the side) with its center color. You then perform the move to place it down, based on where that piece is. Check out my step 2.

I just want to know why you need to connect the cross to the yellow face at all?

Your just going to turn it back up anyways, I think it would be much easier to just connect it to the other edge, and flip up to the white face, but idk, that's just how I've done it.

You don't need to. I don't do that anymore, it's just the beginner method. It's easier for beginners to put all of the edges up top because you can more easily keep track of where each white edge piece is. While the more advanced method of first matching the other color on the white edge and then matching it to white can be a little tricker since it can interfere with other edge pieces.
