Jonas was alive inside the great fish but when Jonas is mentioned as a symbol of Jesus' stay in the tomb, it has nothing to do with being alive. The comparison is merely mentioned in clear reference to time. The verse read like this:

The verse is clearly using Jonas to establish only a time factor rather than a biological state.

If He was greatly wounded before the crucifixion and was already profusely bleeding, that easily explains why He died before the rest of the crucified criminals.
Your argument is nonsense to claim that He survived in such conditions inside a cold tomb for almost 3 days and a body that lost too much blood before dying. Any expert or forensic doctor could evaluate all these conditions and conclude that the chances of surviving that are 0%.

Although I strongly doubt that the Christ had blue eyes, this is indeed one of the most moving films about Him that I have ever seen. I wept at the Crucifixion as if I were there; I rejoiced at His Resurrection.

In part 40 of 41, at 3:20, women have an encounter with Jesus who has been recently resurrected.
In this part 41 of 41, at 3:50, everyone goes to Jesus' tomb to corroborate the story and they find it empty because He is already resurrected.
This movie seems to focus on the Gospel according to Mark who gives very little detail about what happened after the resurrection. The other 3 Gospels provide a more rich description, such as the Gospel according to John.

@dadowptt Yo creo que la historia real jamás la sabremos, ya que no podemos afirmar o descartar con certeza lo que en la bíblia se describe; es querer dar una explicación de algo que no hemos podido comprender por más de 2000 años. Sin embargo, las creencias que cada persona tenemos son en base a la formación y al entorno en que vivimos, por lo que creo que cada opinión debe ser respetada. Ahora, me parece que es un buen trabajo cinematográfico, independientemente de los hechos.

The reading of any book tells us various things unless you expect a book to keep repeating the same sentence until the end. The 4 Gospels are 4 different accounts that show perspective of each author which is why some have more details than others. In a court case, a witness of a crime can tell details that the other witness didn't see. Does that mean the judge will discard the second witness?Nonsense. Each individual adds detail for the final truth like the pieces of a puzzle. NT achieves that.

When it says that the Son of Man shall be alive simply refers to Jesus' resurrection. The Bible is clear that Jesus died on the cross and then was buried dead and returned to life at the 3rd day. Muslims like you try hard to make others believe that Bible says what it obviously doesn't.
It's easy to test the NT. Give the NT to a person who have never read the Bible before in His life nor heard of it. Let him read and then ask that person if Jesus died or not according to what he read.

Jonas was alive inside the great fish but when Jonas is mentioned as a symbol of Jesus' stay in the tomb, it has nothing to do with being alive. The comparison is merely mentioned in clear reference to time. The verse read like this:
"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whales belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Matthew 12:40)
The verse is clearly using Jonas to establish only a time factor rather than a biological state.

Qur'an claims that Issa (Jesus in Arabic is truly Yessua and not Issa but let's assume the false Issa is Jesus) was taken to Heaven before the crucifixion. Your argument assumes that Jesus remained alive in His tomb for almost 3 days. But that contradicts your Qur'an that claims Jesus didn't even make it to the cross. Criminals were taken directly to the cross but Jesus received a special punishment that Romans used to calm the angry Jewish crowd that wanted Yah'shua (Jesus) dead. This is the reason that Jesus was so weak up to the point that He couldn't bear His cross and was helped by another man. If He was greatly wounded before the crucifixion and was already profusely bleeding, that easily explains why He died before the rest of the crucified criminals.

Although I strongly doubt that the Christ had blue eyes, this is indeed one of the most moving films about Him that I have ever seen. I wept at the Crucifixion as if I were there; I rejoiced at His Resurrection.

I do agree. This is one of the best versions ever made. I like it better. For me The Passion was a bit too, TOO graphic though that's how it was back then.

In part 40 of 41, at 3:20, women have an encounter with Jesus who has been recently resurrected.
In this part 41 of 41, at 3:50, everyone goes to Jesus' tomb to corroborate the story and they find it empty because He is already resurrected.
This movie seems to focus on the Gospel according to Mark who gives very little detail about what happened after the resurrection. The other 3 Gospels provide a more rich description, such as the Gospel according to John.

Thank you for posting the entire movie. This is the greatest movie ever made about the life of Jesus Christ. I was 8 years old & watching this movie (when John was baptising Jesus ) when I gave my life to the Lord. It was so great to see this movie again. Very powerful & touching. That scene knocks me out each and every time. Robert Powell really put his signature on the role of Jesus. It's the best depiction to date. There's a reason why they call it the Greatest Story Ever Told.
