A lot of people say MM's story is mediocre or stupid. I couldn't disagree more. It's so dark, mature, and original. Not saving a Princess and a world that's gonna be taken over. Idea gents: Support Operation Moonfall. It's plan is to get Majora's Mask a 3DS port, just like Ocarina. Even the producer of Zelda's saying 'Hey you make nosie and we'll do it'. It took less than a year to make Majora's Mask originally.

Now remember, Skyward is supposed to set up Ocarina of Time. There could be SOME reference to Majora in this game. Afterall, Skull Kid and Majora both came from Hyrule, and THE Skull Kid may be the same on in Ocarina of Time.

@MechanicaHelios The DS is old son. Gamefreak are fools for making Black and White 2 on the DS. The 3DS is more powerful, and would allow the game to have a greater graphic potential, as well as easier control due to the circle pad.

PLUS, OoT 3D models and graphics are too intense for the DS to handle. Only the 3DS can reuse them as it is, and only Toon Link assets exist for the DS, meaning they'd have to build it from scratch. So no thanks.

@KaiserdeEmperana What do you mean I know nothing? Right now, Zelda has officially moved to 3DS. Eji himself has confirmed a 3DS one is being made, with MM remake being considered and Miyamoto wanting ALTTP remade. A good chunk of Zelda fans have moved on.

Pokemon hasn't had a main series entry yet nor any VC releases, thus giving that fanbase any reason to move on. Plus there may be asset reusing for black and white 2 and suspected inclusion of Hoenn by some. So there.

@daveeol yeah it's weird...the game was fun but i can't remember either. Majora's Mask was gloomy and magical while Twilight Princess was just sort of gloomy. Most of the characters in TP were very dull and like you said forgettable. For instance, I remember trying to ride a coach to safety to Kakariko Village but I forgot who exactly was there with me...I guess that fat Lady with the cat and the Zora but it could have been Illia. Oh well, that game was great but no MM or OOT not even close

@ajpianoman1 Think about it, the mask came from a Ancient Tribe that used it for hexing rituals. I believe that the Ancient Tribe is the Dark Interlopers introduced in TP. Look at the Fused Shadow's stone eye and the Mask's eyes, they are highly similar. And the Dark Interlopers descendants, the Twili, seem to have an interest in wearing masks/helmets to cover their faces.

The scene where the mask starts floating near the end of the game with the limp skull kid dangling from it, and then this theme starts up... god damn that always gives me chills.

Ganondorf is iconic, but Majora's Mask is just downright scary. That's how true evil should be, not just epic fights but actually something that makes you scared of it and what it's going to do.

Ganondorf is bad. But Majora's Mask? That thing is pure evil, and you could tell every time this theme played.

Majora's Mask had such a better story than Oot. It was much deeper and you could feel the pain of the characters more than you could in Oot. You felt more sorry for them. They all didn't know what to do. Plus the land is more complex than Hyrule. There's not just people in distant lands that are just there. The people in the distant lands really connect with the story. Plus, not everything had to do with time, time time. Don't get me wrong, Oot was great. I just prefer this one better.

Majora's much better because you don't know anything about him, not even what lies beyond the mask or what's inside the mask, that makes his character much more compelling than Ganon's. Plus I like the design better. Majora's unpredictable, and something that's still fresh, Ganon started to tire me at even the Ocarina of Time where you play a match of tennis with him before the castle crumbled. . . @mrshroude12 skyward is actually pretty good but i preferred the depth of this game over oot and skyward sword. There are so many underlooked zelda games. Oot gets too much credit. Skyward swordt though actually was done really well. You felt the characters the world was immersive the gameplay was really fun and innovative and the story described the beginnings of the series pretty well being that you are cursed to encounter demises reincarnation.
