B and C pillars are hard enough to remain some space in case of an accident. But doors are a bit thin. And that is not an abnormal situation since a Renault 12 Gordini's bumper had wrapped through a Mercedes 200E's doors easily. By the way, both compared cars doors are hard to hole unless you run into the doors with a forklift.
