The Jive Bunny loves you and your voice 09/02/11..You brought back memories of the rockin 60's with Jim Morrison ,Led Zepplin and now George Harrison!
I loved this video, thanks so much for this post.. hes so good .....Randy, I want you to play at my birthday party.. LOl,,, I wish!!........( the 3 thumbs down must, be asleep)
Come see Zebra at the St. Cletus Oyster Festival on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 8 p.m. 3600 Claire Ave., Gretna, LA 70053. Admission is FREE!!! Come early and bring your appetite, as there will be a huge variety of South Louisiana's favorite foods, draft and bottled beer, wine, daiquiris, and more.
Iv'e got an old Circus Magazine from 1985. The article has a interview with the band and the writer stating how underated the band is. On an unrelated note I can hear the influence they had on later hard rock bands of the 80's.
There is no doubt that Zebra is WAY under estimated by most classic rock fans. Having seen them a dozen or so times at The Chance in Poughkeepsie during the early 90's, I can honestly say they're one of the most talented bands I've ever seen play live. Especially Randy. To be able to sing like Robert Plant while shredding the guitar is amazing.
Why ZEBRA didn't have much success after the Bears single will be to me one of Rock Music's greatest mysteries to me. Randy is such a great songwriter and the band is all very talented on their instruments. Growing up in the SF Bay Area in the 80's, there was a great buzz about them when they came on the scene. I have all their cd's and they blow away all the crappy Hair Metal bands combined in terms of songwriting. On a realated note, you can say the same of Y&T for that matter! Peace. -Dave
Do you or anyone else here in youtube land have a close up home made video of Randy Jackson playing the song TIME [from the 3.V album] on his 12 string? Live he usually plays it before they do "Who's behind the Door". I am trying to learn it and I am unsure of a few parts (as the song is in a funky tuning [GGDGBD]). If you have such a video, please, please post it. Thanks a zillion in advance!
